My husband and I traveled from the US to visit Ireland in 2019 and went to Gravediggers (or as our cab driver called it, ‘Diggers). We went to Gravediggers specifically to have the Dublin Coddle and a Guinness after seeing Anthony Bourdain’s show highlighting them. As we were chatting with the very engaging staff I mentioned that we’d come after seeing his show recommending it. Upon hearing that, they actually took out some Polaroid pictures they had taken of Anthony during his visit. It was very special to have them share those images and memories of his visit with us.
Daragh- My parents passed when I was young as well. I know it wasn't a major point of the video but I just wanted to say I appreciate you sharing that information. It'll never be easy but I'm sure your old man is smiling down at what you've made of yourself. Good man. Cheers and love from Canada.
Anthony bourdain reviewed the coddle in the grave diggers years ago he really taught it was outstanding and he was a top American food reviewer. It's 1 to watch a few pints of Guinness in the review aswell Rip Anthony

Absolutely agree. We were in Ireland a couple of weeks ago from Canada and checked out gravediggers on your recommendation. Place was packed so we had to wait outside, pouring rain the whole time while we crushed some pints and chatted with some wonderful folks. Food was incredible when we did finally get in (didnt try the coddle but now it's on the list!) and it was probably our favorite night of the trip!
My wife and I went to Kavanaugh's in July from Seattle. What an iconic pub. It was a huge bucket list for me. The six pints I drank was delicious and heavenly.
went to the gravediggers last year and was honestly blown away by the food - they had a clams and chorizo dish that was legitimately one of the best things i've ever had
WoW 1st time I have gotten a serious pint out of a Guinness draught can, there was domage, shtick, no bubbles in the head, no bitter after tastes just absolute cream head stayed to the bottom and even got the up wards slight tilt in the under side of the head after taking a sip👍this stuff defies gravity when poured correctly. The only thing I can say was the head was ever so slightly on the baige side but all things considered that was a treat 😎👌
Great Guinn reviews Daragh.....I'm going to give a shout out for the Garrison pub ,Castletown, Isle of Man...One of the nicest pints of Guinn I've had there last weekend. 👍

You got to come to Dunphy’s in Dún Laoghaire one word of warning don’t complain about being served Guinness in a non branded Guinness tulip glass or Steven Dunphy will have your head. I prefer a wet shave.
Very good. The batch is a good call rather than pan as the batch is a more rigid slice and therefore more suitable. That being said Brennan's dont bake their breads in the oven for as long as they used and they are underdone and wooly these days. The batch here looked good so I would wager that this wasn't Brennan's batch.
Can't believe u have not gone to the Halfway House in Walkinstown... renowned for its pint of plain for a hundred yrs and yet u went to McGregors new watering hole schlurpping pints of Forged stout 100 meters away,, come on lad , do a review,, sample the best pint of stout on the Southside
Poor food hygiene the owner going into the area where they dish the food up with no gloves on ECT handling bread onto plates , it would make me think twice about eating food there if it was a normal employee that done that but when it's the owner himself it would make me wonder what his standards are that he expects others to aim for .

Believe it or not, the weather is beautiful now. There is even a weather warning now about the danger of too much exposure to sun !!!!!!!!!
