Your throw will be considered an excellent throw as long as the size of the shrinking circle is 30% or less than the fixed white circle when you hit it. However, not all excellent throws are considered the same. Sure, all excellent throws are awarded the max XP which is 1000 points but the catch probability gets higher as the shrinking circle gets smaller. The catch multiplier ranges from 1, when the shrinking circle is the same size as the fixed circle, to 2 when the shrinking circle becomes a spot.
Wasn’t there a time when hitting an excellent guaranteed a catch? Seems like now we can throw excellent after excellent, using a golden raspberry each time, and the Pokémon will still run away 🤨

Thanks for this useful tip. Now the only problem i have now is where exactly in the screen should i throw my premier balls from. I managed to lock the circle to an excellent but i still somehow managed to overthrow it and hit the head. Hopefully you'll make a video of it
when the pokemon is doing its attack, you only have like a second or 2 to spin your ball effectively, what movement do you do in order to build up such a fast spin?
The pokeball will start sparking once it is spinning fast enough to make a curve throw. This is how you know you are doing the spin correctly. Just use whatever technique you are comfortable with. For me, I usually spin the pokeball once or twice before throwing.
There has been an occasion or two that I have hit excellent curveball throws on legendaries as well as regular pokémon. And at times it will not be an automatic capture. I have thrown excellent throws and not catch the pokémon and sometimes I have thrown great throws and caughet them. Sometimes I feel it's quite random. Thanks for the video.

My problem is even getting invited to a raid. I hosted one and 3 showed, one dropped right away, and the other dropped out mid raid so obviously time ran out. I need Moltres and another pokemon to get my Kanto Platinum medal but live in a rural area. It sucks

When the Pokémon is stable and the green circle is closing in then throw a curve ball you will get an excellent throw each time you do it.😊
