As a tourist in Norway, i would pick the vest in the country. Vestlandet. With all their marvellous nature. Just above tho most. Bysycle up trollstigen. Go mountain hiking, or take the gondol, up to a mountain. I mean, the list is long, it is so beautiful! In winter i wold go north . Far north. The northern light, ice pub ,ice hotell (all is ice), with reindeers, and a lot to offer. Especially in cultur area! In the summer, the north have sun , also in the night. Thats very special too... Norway is a magic country to go visit.

it was the 1st of December. Usually it's not a good month to see the Northen lights, but we were lucky. Our guide told us that the best month is September because the sky is very clear. Tromso is a great location to see the lights.

Thank you! We were on tour with greenlander.no , he is a really nice guy, he brought "lucky soup", marshmallows, hot chocolate etc. But we were also lucky to see the Northern Lights that intense.

Thank you! What do you mean by travel mode? I don't know of any travel restrictions for kids, there were people with children there so I assume it's fine. You need good winter clothes, and winter boots, but don't worry about the tours, usually everybody gives winter overalls which are brilliant. We stayed at Tromso Lodge & Camping. I don't know anything about the visa, it depends what country you are from, we are from Romania, so we didn't need a visa. Enjoy!
Last year something very sinister happened in this town: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kongsberg_attack Otherwise I agree that Kongsberg is a nice place. The main attraction for tourists is the ride in a mini train into the mines. If continuing further try out the fascinating towns of Notodden and Rjukan, but this is another story.
