Another fantastic tutorial, Scott. Your style is so clear and laid back and none of the usual personality traits getting in the way. Just good content. Much appreciated.

Thank you very much Steven. I try to make tutorials in a format that I would like them. I want information, not waffle 😃

I originally watched your video on the same technique for Capture One 12. Great work adapting it to Affinity. Actually Capture One and Affinity is my core workflow, so I really enjoy your videos

Thank you very much. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos. I enjoy making them. Affinity blend ranges are very similar to Capture One luma ranges so the technique transfers from one to the other quite easily.

Just got the affinity and trying to learn techniques .. What is the trick to remember which side to go down for Dodge and for Burn in the Blend option .. What is the logic.. what happens on the right side box. Thanks

Thanks for the comment. These questions are a bit large for me to answer here. I will have to create a proper dodge and burn video for Affinity Photo.

Isn't this video about dodging and burning in Affinity photo?

I'm trying to pluck up the courage to leave PS and move to Affinity Photo. 😁

Hi Mark. I made the switch and I'm glad I did. I have been using Affinity Photo for all of my graphics for a couple of years now and have not once had any need for Photoshop.

@@ScottWilliamsPhotography It's more the new learning curve Scott. Plus I get PSD files from other graphic designers. I do want to get away from Adobe tho. I took the same decision with LR and moved to C1. //// great tutorials Scott.

I understand. I used to be a video game programmer and designer and had to share graphic files with teams.

PS - Repair the name so Affinity is spelled correctly.
