My aunt Nell, (Ellen Mills) used to baby sit Maurice and my mum Joanie when they lived down the Elephant. She said he was a lovely little lad, always smiling and quite grown up for his age. Gawd bless all of them, so long ago now.

I've lived in Canada, The US, NZ & now Greece. I'm from Scotland. I honestly think Parky had the best questions, the best research and asked things that the viewers really wanted to know. Too many talk show hosts are more concerned with themselves or trying to be funny, the US is terrible for that.

Parkie is the best interviewer ever. Caine is just the best. A northern Yorkshire lad chatting with a southern shandy drinking londoner.... no pretence just two friends having a chat. That's Parkie's gift, he's just got that manner that relaxes people and lets them talk.... You won't find anyone today as good as these two in their respective roles.

Unfortunately, he was no different to other people that didn't have a normal childhood, plus his father was not a nice man. Also, to be honest, I wouldn't want to have 8 siblings in a two-bedroom house. That's what they experienced. Horrible. As he himself said, when speaking for himself, his childhood was taken away from him. I would never defend Michael Jacksons wrongdoing, because he did horrible things, but I don't think he understood the difference between right and wrong. He was like a kid. He had, from a very young age, people around him encouraging him to do things that aren't normal (drugs, etc.)

How wonderfully honest from this wonderful actor, I love his stories especially about his brother told with such love. The story about his mother working with Adam Faith's mum.

This is an incredible interview. Michael is so down to earth and humble but like granite underneath. I was in the US Army and basically adopted the same philosophy - if I can survive this nothing else in my life can possibly be worse - so pack a lunch if you're going to challenge me. This mindset has served me well these many years.

What a terrific interview! I've always liked Sir Caine. It was marvelous to see him with his wit, yet somber early life. Always loved "Alphie". Still remember the evening I saw you in that great film, your engaging personality. and the words of the title song. Thank you Sir for your gifted acting and humor, especially the ability to laugh at oneself. Best go you and yours!
