Best Sean Connery interview! My childhood dreamboat and 'future husband'! My heart is broken! Celebrating his life now with all his magnificent movies!
Wow, he has such command and charisma, but with a quick wit as well. Nobody else wanted to, or felt they could say a word. Just sat and enjoyed listening to him. I actually enjoyed LOEG, but you could see from his reaction that it may of been a difficult movie for him.
I recently have watched some of his movies. Again, after his time here was over. The man who wanted to be King, The offence, The Untuchables , of couse. And I"m still haven't seen them ALL. Mostly his work beginning from the 80s, my childhood. What a outstanding actor and personality. What a life he made, out of harsh proverty? He's been for decades in leagal fights with Hollywood, because of money and more money. But they still hired him. Because he did it for people. RIP, Sir Sean Connery. See you soon on my big TV with your work. What a joy.
Sean you were more than Bond, James Bond you were a tremendous actor I am very sorry for your loss, you have left us many satisfactions with all your films, you were a great acting genius it was a great pleasure to have seen you in all your performances, R.I.P.
Actually, his true self, especially at that point in his life, was not at all that of a shallow, misogynistic cold fish ... 007 traits that Connery brought to the screen very well as it was intended in the 60s, but the real Connery was a lot more complex - in a positive way. A very hard-working, self-made man, intelligent, sensible, charismatic but less impulsive, charming rather than patronizing and damn sexy without needing to be as sexist (notice how, Sean was playing golf with women at this point, which was off limits earlier in his life; and also changed his mind on slapping women).
Boris looked a bit bamboozled😂 Sir Sean Connery with razor sharp wit and just brilliant human being! In The Name Of The Rose is his more surreal side of films but that was Sean❤❤❤
A mans man....in the last week I’ve watched Dr No, From Russia With Love, Thunderball, Goldfinger, and The Man who would be king.....RIP Mr Connery...oh, and Highlander...thank you Sir
Irony of ironies, Sean here is sat next to the man who will most certainly be responsible for fulfilling his ultimate dream in making his beloved Scotland independent! R.I.P.
Nonsense because Boris will not allow the Scots to have a referendum and considering England rules Scotland they have no choice but to do as they are told.
Thank you Sean for everything. Brilliant actor and genuine person. Nice to see you treating Boris with the absolute contempt he deserved. You were a prophet.
It's a bit risky having a big screen legend with such great presence and charisma, and a hilarious comic from whom nothing is safe, sitting on the same sofa. So they played in safe and put an inflatable piece of rubber between them.
RIP Sir Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020), aged 90 And RIP Sir Michael Parkinson (March 28, 1935 - August 16, 2023), aged 88 You both will be remembered as legends.
"I hope you're going to be the chief of the party." I wonder if it was at that point that BawJaws got inspired to head for that goal, thinking that even Sean Connery wanted it to be so? Little did he realise that Sean thought he was a total arse and his being head of the party would be a total disaster for the party and mean independence for Scotland. How prescient was Sir Sean, how canny and wise?

Sean immediately takin' the pish out of BoJo there. He hated Tories. Sean Connery did a huge amount of work in support of Scottish labour forces as well as setting up his education foundation in Edinburgh, to which he donated millions of pounds, including his entire salary for Diamonds Are Forever.

You can hear the contractually-obligated-press-tour in his oh-so-close choice of words at the end there. "Well, I haven't done a film since this....... [League of Extraordinary Gentlemen]." Go on. What was that descriptive term you almost said..!
@@SimonSverige I agree that you get polls that are regarded as being outliers. You get consistent polls that suddenly change on the back of decisive events. However polls on Scottish independence are a bit different - because what we're seeing is based on demographics. How people vote on the constitutional question is very heavily based on age. It coincided with the age of the internet and the ability to by-pass Uk propaganda. Therefore under 50's are much, much more likely to vote for an independent Scotland than the over 50's. And actually that was in 2014. NOW it has moved to the under 60's being much more liely to vote yes. We have known for about 10 years that independence was inevitable. It has just been a matter of time and how it's going to happen.
What was a shame is that League of Extraordinary Gentleman was essentially his final movie outside of some voice work. When asked if he would do anything else in this interview he seemed like it was quite possible and then years later something must have changed as he never came back. I wonder what it was that made him lean towards never making a film again?
Supported Scotland by buggering off to Spain and the Bahamas as a tax exile, yet banged on about how much he loved Scotland, if you truly love somewhere, you would surely live there and pay the tax? Double standards.
