I'll remember watch his music clinic in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2007. He's very great drummer! Unfortunately for unknown reason he refused to take picture with fans but he's very kind talk and give his autograph to fans who waiting for him after the music clinic over. Rest in Peace, Pat...
i have to be the black sheep now....i like that snare sound. in a music context, you wouldn't hear the overtone . but tuning like this, it gives your drums so much presence in a band.
I saw Mr. Big in 89 at some club on the Strip in Wood. All I remember was Billy S. throwing his base in the air. Very cool! I was drunk, 18 and in Hollywood!
Its probably a cheap set up for the clinic. nothing like a Mr big show.... speaking of which........ THEIR RE-FORMING FOR A TOUR OF JAPAN!!!! WOOOP!!! I hope they do a dvd of the tour.
cheap set !!!?? Tama Starclassic maple with Tama Warlord Spartan snare drum ( in Europa was only that snare 1090 € ) , you call that a cheap set ??? not to mention that set of great cymbals !
@@charliejanto6771 Pat has it wide open. Sound guy can only q it at the board. Mics are nothing but electronic ears that pick up what they hear. You shape the sound you want picked up.
With a solo like that you must be a calm and clear thought person

Love Pat, but I think his snare sounds terrible! Is his snare's engaged? Not a beat down, just my final thought.
RIP pat torpey, (my inspiration) 🙏
This is Pat doing his Steve Gadd impression. 4:41 is Steve's licks exactly. Still great nonetheless...
Steve Gadd did that some solo for a clinic years ago!
Miss him a lot.

Pat really got into Gadd.
