I love all the Easter eggs scattered throughout the entire episode.
Andy and Danai share this wonderful chemistry that hasn’t been matched to any other couple.
When they reunite, not one spoken word by either, but their facials, their eyes, and body language were on point!
I would love to hear Andy’s music list that helps this method actor get into character! I’m sure it’s amazing!
TWD is back❤and the 1st episode was 🔥!

I don't love it, but because I'd been spoiled that it was coming, I was really grateful it happened right away lol. Loved the episode though. I felt the pacing was great considering all the "years" we had to get through and understand his mind set NOW. Can't wait for more!

I loved the sheer attention to detail to everything, from Rick's journey to the ongoing lore of the universe (the intro had so many good bits). The script wasn't a 10/10, (still a solid 9/10, wasn't bad whatsoever, but it had a few quirks) but it was made up for in care and production value. You can tell Scott Gimple and Andrew Lincoln loves this character, and it shows. This and Daryl feels like the real deal, and it's a good direction for a franchise that has been stunted the last half a decade. The idea to focus on small 6 episode miniseries/seasons was a good choice, IMO. They should just do 2-3 of these every year, makes more sense.

Lydia lost her hand/arm too, for me it's been over done, I got over it by the end of the episode but there were other ways of showing his desperation. They could have kept it a bit more of a secret though. It was all but confirmed in the trailers.

I liked it. I'm still wondering how that ship with Rick's stuff made it out.

What makes it more intense in the first minute too is the music it's building up to him taking his own life
