Hi, thanks for this video. It was the most helpful review. I’ve read on the Renault McGann E tech. I ordered mine on Monday, and it’s due to arrive in October. Very much looking forward to getting hold of it. Thanks again 25:50
A superb review....Well done! I've just ordered the Top-of the -Range Iconic model in the UK (with that excellent Heat Pump). It was a straight choice between a Tesla Model 3 or the Megane, both were the same price.....No contest! The sterile, poor build quality, horrid interior, ugly Tesla is so dated compared to the Renault. It's tech is so 'yesterday'. Brilliant move by Renault going to the experts, Google! By the way, Renault say the 0-60 time is 7.5 Sec, but independent reviewers have clocked it at 6.9 Sec (that's Mini Cooper S territory, but without the instant torque).......how typically French, underplaying!
Very good and very interesting. You didn’t however give any conclusion as to whether you preferred the Megane E-Tech v Tesla Model 3 and what you consider each’s major strengths and weaknesses. I have a Megane on order as following the big price increases on the M3 this year I didn’t think the SE+ was worth 25% more. (Something perhaps substantiated by the recent big fall in used M3 prices).
Hello Richard. At a similar price (top Megane vs base model3), I would take the model 3 if I was doing say 70% or more motorway driving because of its efficiency. That is where the Tesla is clearly superior. The Megane isn't far behind on the motorway but most importantly it's a better all rounder, smaller to get around towns and easier to park, a bit narrower on smaller roads and also has a hatch which means more practicality. Teslabjorn reviewed the interior space (banana box test) and could fit as many in each of these 2 cars. I'm happy with my model 3 but that's because I have a smaller car to get around town. If I had to have only one I would have gone for the Megane. Hope this helps! Guillaume
@@lovrenaultThank you. The price differential in the UK between the M3 and the Megane seems greater than where you are which doesn’t help make straightforward the comparison. The Iconic model is not offered here - only a Launch Edition which is £39,995 and misses out on a heat pump, the larger landscape screen and Park Assist. The LE has the non electric Techno seats, Techno trim inserts but does get Harman Kardon, 360 degree camera and a contrasting colour roof. The price of the M3 (white) Standard Range Plus starts at £48,490 - so 21% more. I have driven a number of M3’s and agree they are a great long distance car - the Supercharger network completely removes range anxiety - but I think the clinical, button free, minimalist interior is not a very inviting place to sit. A year ago the price of the Tesla was £41,000 which was reasonable but I just don’t think it is worth £7,500 for the same specification 12 months later. I think Elon is being too greedy pricing the M3 the same as the Model Y. I do however wish the Megane had the option of a panoramic roof as it is a bit gloomy inside.
Hi Michael, the Ariya is actually a bit bigger but also more expensive than the Megane. I actually saw my first one during the delivery of that Megane as it was offloaded from a truck just in front of us! But none since! Not sure about patriotism in this instance as Teslas , Fiat 500 and MGs are very popular here for example. Maybe Ariya is just not being delivered just yet !
Hello Linda, it was a genuine Renault accessory, actually ordered with the car. But you should be able to order it from any dealer, as an accessory. It was around 200 euro if I remember well.

Great review. 👍
Renault💪❤️🔝
Sure no "one pedal drive" but it is capable of stop and go traffic while acc is enabled 😊

Guillaume will the Ariya be available in France ? Would buying it over the Megan’s be considered unpatriotic by some ?

The drive you did was mostly hyghway? If so, the range is not bad at all.
Yes it was.
Where did Guillaume's father get his high boot floor from? I'm in France and I'd be interested to get one.

@@lovrenault Merci pour votre réponse Guillaume
Hi, you can indeed order it from any dealer in the UK if you happen to be there. It is £250 in the UK.
La voiture est immatriculée en France ?
