Great stretching for hiking in the outdoors or city! I wish the stretches were longer, though. 30 seconds is where I feel the most benefit from yoga poses/stretching. Thx.
This is one of my favorite yoga videos. I have been doing it every night for the past two years. I am not a hiker, but I walk quite a bit and it has helped tremendously in keeping my hip flexors and hamstrings feeling great. Plus, your personality is fabulous. Bravo and thank you!
Your hiking spot is breathtaking. I’m glad you showed video of you getting there as it looks too perfect to be real. This is a great post hike stretch for after our 3 day adventure into the alpine. We made it back safely and still friends, the 2 biggest goals (we did get the summit too), now to rest and repair. Thanks for helping with that.
I did back to back Caminos this fall, and on my second one I added a foam pad and did this class every morning before I started walking. It was a game changer. I'm doing the PCT in a couple months, and not only am I doing it after every work out but I plan to do it every morning.
Our family of six climbed Katahdin yesterday, and this was a godsend. I’m 46, in pretty good shape, but really needed a post-climb routine that I could do in under 20 minutes before we get back on the road. This hit the spot!
This was the perfect stretch after an 8 mile hike! I also loved how serene and calm your environment is. Thank you for spreading your wisdom, you got a new subscriber :-)
Amanda, thought I'd try this out, then realized the background seemed familiar. Hiked Grandjean through Sawtooth Lake a few years ago. So beautiful there! Thanks for the yoga!!!
A couple days ago my boyfriend and I hiked into the very bottom of the Grand Canyon on one side and came back up the other side in 12 hours. My legs, hips and lower back still feel destroyed but I’m healing and I’m just happy I got the experience to learn from haha P.S. always take trekking poles to an intense hike! 😅
Really glad to find a hiking specific yoga session, thank you! One suggestion: I prefer it when I’m talked through moving between poses, which you didn’t do. I felt rushed going from one to another, especially going into and out of down dog.
Thank you so much for posting this! I loved how quiet it was, and how smooth the transitions between poses were. It wasn't too difficult either and I was able to modify it a little for what I'm able to do.
This is perfect! I tried to do yoga a couple times but it is very hard for me because my legs are so short and stiff. This was amazing because I was already doing the next thing that you did because it felt right.. I don‘t know how to describe it better 😅 Thank you so much!!
Thanks for the nice vidie! I'd just have loved to see a stretch specifically for the psoas, which I think was not included :) (although I might have missed sth out!)
This was great after a 15 mile hike. May I ask what yoga mat you take while backpacking? I’m looking for a very lightweight one (ultra light if such a thing even exists). Thank you for the video!
Not possible to do calf movements or downward dog after a long downhill hike when the knees are soft. Can we please get a better exercise for this case? Thank you!
Great video! I think for future maybe the camera should be closer so it’s easier to see what you’re doing in case some people are confused But great job and the background was gorgeous
Hey Amanda! Great videos! Love your channel. I am actually just trying to put a yoga video together and was going to do a voice-over as its really windy where I was filming! Would you recommend that? Also, what do you use for your audio? Did you use a mic? Thank you :-)
Hi Suzie! Thanks for watching! Yes if it's windy, I would recommend doing a voice over. I have a few different mic setups depending on the situation. For voice overs, I usually use my Rode SmartLav, but I also have a Rode ViideoMic Me for my phone and a Rode VideoMicro for my camera that I use if it's not too windy and I don't want to wear a mic. Hope this helps!

Loving this one! So good to see a hiking specific yoga session!
I’m planning to make even more!!
Came after a 3.5 hour hike and my left feet was mildly paining. These stretches really helped me calm it!
Thank you this was great! I’m day 4 into the WTA Hike-A-Thon so this is greatly appreciated 😅

Beautiful practice - felt so good this morning after yesterday's 22 km hike 😍! Thank you 🙏💜!

Ended up doing it 1-2 times a day and even lead other groups.
Litterly just came home from a hike and my hips feel amazing! Thanks you!
Love it! Easy to follow and perfect practice as i went for hiking yesterday

This is my go to post hike stretch. Thank you 😊

Thank you for the feedback Cassie! I will be more aware of the transitions next time!
You could always memorize the routine and then you could go at you're speed.
Exactly what I was looking for after today's hike! Thank you so much!

I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed this class! Thank you for commenting Kelly!
Thank you! I tend to get lower back pain as well as leg tightness after a walk, and I found the beach model quad stretch just delicious!
yay!! so happy you liked this class!
Thank you for your time.
I'm going on a 9 days hike in a week, in high mountain, your video will be more than useful ! Thank you :)

Wonderful you are amazing .. we are on a similar wavelength … question - what microphone are you using to get a clear voice outside?
Really enjoyed this!
This was great! Just came from a hike and that was just the stretch I needed :)
Thank you for sharing this video. Hope you post more.
Love the background views.
Thanks for sharing
Perfect. Thanks
Hey Amanda, how can I just subscribe to your yoga classes only?
This feels amazing after a long hard hike up Perry Creek Trail yesterday. Where was this filmed at?
Loved it
Not possible to do calf movements or downward dog after a long downhill hike when the knees are soft. Can we please get a better exercise for this case? Thank you!
That was awesome! Thankyou!!
How come you all live in such beautiful sunny climates? Living in Scotland is like living in a grey sky hell!
Great video!
I think for future maybe the camera should be closer so it’s easier to see what you’re doing in case some people are confused
But great job and the background was gorgeous
Wonderful evening stretching session, thank you! I hiked 12 miles yesterday in Molekumne Wilderness. Where was this filmed? Gorgeous scenery!
This was filmed in Sawtooth National Forest in Idaho - one of my favorite places!
amandaoutside I thought it looked like Idaho! Thank you for this video!
Thank you!
Where are you? Looks like Sequoia national Park near me.

I just had a walk of 2 hours but then I realized my legs and feet don't like it like I do lol
that was helpful thank you so much!
Haha glad you liked it!!
I like the poses but the quick momentum was overly aggressive for me!
is background real? CG?
It’s real! It was about a 7 mile hike to that spot 😊

This is Sawtooth National Forest in Idaho. It was beautiful!
