That makes no sense that Josh has 1200 calories a day on average if he skips breakfast and lunch every day and often dinner. He probably had around 800 a day on average. At 1200 a day he wouldn't weigh as much as an average sized woman
One meal a day can be a completely healthy way to live. IF That one meal is large, nutritionally dense, and contains a good variety of natural fat, natural protien and natural complex carbs. That intermittent fasting lifestyle also works best when you have body fat at least a few lbs above the base level to play with, basically if you have a healthy body fat percentage (or indeed you are overweight looking to metabolise fat) As body fat IS fuel, your body will begin to utilise stored sugars and then stored fats once the last meal is processed and dealt with (which for a lage varied meal takes around 5 hours)

I don't get how Louise lost 4 stone which took her to 20 stone, yet ended up a size 18 ( originally size 28). I was originally 16 stone, so 8 stone less than her, and lost 3 stone of that (now 13 stone) yet I'm still not a size 18 ( was size 22 to start with). Must be the height difference I suppose ( I'm only 5ft)
@@Annemarie-op9zh Thanks for confirming what I was thinking. I also dug out some clothes today that I hadn't worn for ages ( some brand new) and tried them on. They are size 22 but feel about 1 size too big...pretty sure they must have fitted ok when I bought them so I'm now wondering if I had ended up more like a size 24 because I'm still thinking that surely 3 stone smaller would be more than 1 clothes size less. I'll never know though. Not too concerned as I'm just happy to have lost some weight.
Height AND shape play a huge role. I am about 5'8, but very pear-shaped with naturally wide hips and even when I was severely underweight, I couldn't get below a US 4-6, because anything smaller wouldn't fit my hips; they'd be baggy everywhere else, but still wouldn't fit. I'm sitting around a US 12 Long, now, after being roughly a 20/22 3 years ago (lost 100+ lbs after RNY). Other people my height weigh like 50lbs less than I currently do and wear a size 2, but they're straight up and down. Shape plays a lot into sizes. I've been on both sides of the spectrum and now am in "straight sizes", so I have seen and worn and struggled to buy it all lol.
@@xxcobu I'm now 10 stone (140 lbs) and size 14 UK, which I think is US 10. So that's a drop of 4 sizes, but it took me 16 months. I've not finished yet as I haven't reached my goal, but I just can't see myself getting below this current size. I have seen people weigh more than me now yet they are in a smaller size. Weirdly interesting lol.
unproblematic it’s showing her that she doesn’t need to eat every hour. Because she had the freedom to eat whenever that was her problem. Two days for of no eating actually isn’t too bad, she has enough fat to hold her over. And I’m not being nasty, that’s what fat is, energy deposits.
Elizabeth C I get that but fat doesn’t offer nutrients, fibre and all the other things our body needs. I personally think it’s a bit extreme to deprive the supersize people from food for a long duration of time just to show them how bad their diet is.
@@unproblematic4174 You're right it doesn't, but it is just two days. And before they are on the show they have to go through a full check up with doctors and blood testing. They have to be medically cleared beforehand, so I know it seems cruel I know I wouldn't enjoy it but it has seemed to help these people. If it were longer of a fast I would worry too.
I’m not sure it’s particularly helpful either. Eating nothing is not what anyone is aspiring to so what’s the point. But honestly neither makes sense to me. Eating bucket loads of possibly unhealthy food is not the goal of the super skinnies so what’s the point on both ends?

louise is so gorgeous and the boy reminds me layne staley from alice in chains for some reason..
For God's sake, let her eat something. I get that the superskinny diets are difficult, but this is on a different level. It's cruel.
one person eating 4 peoples dinner in one go isn't that great either
Fasting once a week takes sm benefits and plz, she had quite amount of savings. It was just bad habit, food replaced her loss self esteem
@@izabelezyleify They get to throw away if they can't.... She, in this case had no choice
It's not cruel. People usually water fast for weeks and they are still alive. She just craves a lot of food even tho she doesn't need it. You usually get used to it after 3 days
I felt bad at the time but i wasn't exactly given a choice in the matter
These big people cry about missing meals they need to fast they won’t die
11:10 To take their mind off food they're going to look through old photos to pin point where their problems with food began. Baby if that ain't a contradictory statement then what is ?!
That makes no sense that Josh has 1200 calories a day on average if he skips breakfast and lunch every day and often dinner. He probably had around 800 a day on average. At 1200 a day he wouldn't weigh as much as an average sized woman
Noy Soffer Aranov They often exaggerate in terms of the calorie intake so that they won’t trigger people with an ED that want to get skinnier :)
One meal a day can be a completely healthy way to live.
IF
That one meal is large, nutritionally dense, and contains a good variety of natural fat, natural protien and natural complex carbs.
That intermittent fasting lifestyle also works best when you have body fat at least a few lbs above the base level to play with, basically if you have a healthy body fat percentage (or indeed you are overweight looking to metabolise fat)
As body fat IS fuel, your body will begin to utilise stored sugars and then stored fats once the last meal is processed and dealt with (which for a lage varied meal takes around 5 hours)
He can get that with a meal from McDonald's or other fast food. But I doubt he ate that much
I actually ate a sh*t ton of sweets too but they left that bit out
Are you the real NSA? cool... also I didn't wear as much as an average woman but I fit easily into most overhead storage bins! I don't anymore though
I feel so bad for Louise, they shouldn’t have made her go almost two days without food.
She probably didn't. This is a TV show, so we don't get to see everything.
Just me watching this in the gym and to deprive myself of snacking after meals?

Skinny shaming is just as bad as fat shaming.
Exactly!
Sure. But it still doesn't happen nearly as much as fat shaming so don't worry about it.
Do all brits eat at a couch? I’m asking because in Canada, we almost always eat at the kitchen table every meal.
Phoebe Graveyard I mean I'd sometimes eat on the sofa and watch tv but sometimes I'd eat at the dining table with my family. I'd say different people vary.
A lot of British homes don't have a dining table/kitchen table. Their homes are in general a lot smaller.
At home (my parents) we always made a point to sit at the table for evening meal. But since I've moved with my other half our kitchen n living room aren't big enough for a dinning table. We have to sit on the couch n I hate it :( think a lot of the UK do sit up to a table if they have space
Not all canadians! I eat at the couch.
We didn't have any room for a dining table in our new house, so we had to make the kitchen smaller so we could just.. eat at the table. I can't eat on the sofa. Only drinks and snacks😅
There’s literally a commercial every 45 seconds omg hahaha
I have a similar diet to Joshs minus the cigs.He definitely eats less that that! But I am only 5'7 so it's not so showing so dramatically .
Wondering where's Vicky from. She's got very strong accent, different from others. Does anyone know?
BARBARA the barbarian she’s Scottish. I seem to remember from Edinburgh (they said it in a previous episode) but I’m not sure
i grew up in scotland and let me tell you she did NOT have a strong accent ahaha but its difficult for other peope to understand the accent if your not from soctland/sorta also the rest of the uk
Vicky, why throwing half of the foood away? Why not cooking/putting the half? Louise & Josh, big of a progress.
I’d run for them thar hills. I don’t blame the children and especially the son. No one put her there she cheerfully did it to her self
Kudos to Louise!

If she cut down food shouldn't he cut down the cigs?! She's battling food addiction and he's happily smoking outside
Exactly..... Gosh... That was so unfair... Stupid episode of the whole series
He did cut down then gave up altogether
it’s dangerous to go cold turkey when you smoke that many a day. You have to cut down slowly
I was trapped in a house 400miles from home with a group of strangers, I needed to smoke, it calmed me down, it was a very stressful week
@@sophieg6413 Why would it be dangerous? What could possibly go wrong if one went cold turkey? Just asking.

Louise is kinda a smaller supersize
I don't get how Louise lost 4 stone which took her to 20 stone, yet ended up a size 18 ( originally size 28). I was originally 16 stone, so 8 stone less than her, and lost 3 stone of that (now 13 stone) yet I'm still not a size 18 ( was size 22 to start with). Must be the height difference I suppose ( I'm only 5ft)
It is, the shorter you are the bigger you look because the fat has less place to be distributed to
@@Annemarie-op9zh Thanks for confirming what I was thinking.
Shape plays a huge part. When I was 12 1/2 stone and my sister in law was the same, and we are the same height, she was a size 16 and I was a size 6.
I don’t think the supersized people should be allowed to go without any food you that long - how is that helping them with their diet ??
unproblematic it’s showing her that she doesn’t need to eat every hour.
It’s psychological. It makes both sides realise how bizarre their eating patterns are.
thats not 20 cigs. that like 35 in that tube
I really wish I could loose 1 stone in 1 month 😖😖 but its hard
