Amazes me that people run up to the tractor to look at the fire, yet the man with the extinguisher walks up casually like he has no care in the world. Thanks for the Upload!
I've been around auto racing my whole life. While I enjoy these videos, they leave me shaking my head at the lack of safety protocols. The guy at 3:33 running up to a burning vehicle wearing shorts and a sleeveless shirt blows my mind.
@@jasonfuller9440 You'd think after so many years of this sport with frequent fire and accidents there'd be rules (given current day technology- higher power vehicles, more fuel delivery, etc). Apparently common sense doesn't translate with these folks. The marshal that approaches the vehicle first should have a small pants belt extinguisher at the very least to help mitigate a fire from spreading, sooner rather than later (a quick spread could be prevented if the extinguisher is easily accessible, thus benefiting the driver's safety). Most of these fires start out as a small easily extinguishable one, where a small handheld portable extinguisher will handle. Instead it takes people running around looking for an extinguisher all uncoordinated.
When my dad used to compete in truck pulls he always had a fire extinguisher with him since he did not trust the track officials to handle it if his truck caught fire. I dont blame him lol
I've thought the same thing, watched one guy's tractor burn because of burning fuel on the ground the goofed around for 2 min before pulling him out of it with guys standing all around with fire ex just motioning for them to pull it back instead of spraying the fire out..
Yep, the response "Squadron " are "Stunned " when bad things happen. And "Randy" goes "DA; is that my job to but the fire out or pick up the pieces--- or waite, were am l". I probably won't be much help under those circumstances-- WAY TOO much noise & action.
It seems that every vehicle in this sport needs to beef up their front suspension so it can take landing from a wheelie without breaking all to pieces. They all have weight on the front, might as well beef it up somehow.
So, I love pulling, but I've been watching them for a few days now and have noticed that the driver on the tractors(not sure about trucks) are flopping around in the cage. ANyone think about getting some sort of surround like they use in NASCAR or even using a HANS device? A lot of head/neck injuries are waiting to happen.
Just imagine like 50 years from now a couple of guys find an old abandoned barn or something and they find a couple of these mechanical monstrositys wasting away in the corner just wondering what the fuck we were thinking back then
Hey, the one at 8:00 is in Lyon County. I know that place from the Lyon County fair! Glad to see something local (well... local to my grandparents that is; I live elsewhere).
@@Andrew_460 Wrong! You have low sulfur..ultra low sulfur, Red dye farm sulfur. Used to be a premium grade which was similar to kerosene #1. May have gone away. Different cetane ratings.

Machine shops and go fast parts suppliers see these fools coming over a mile away....send em down the road after breaking it off in their @$$ and tell em have a good day
Big Nasty at the end was about ready to tow that sled around the block!
Good Show!!
He was all over the place… traction? What’s that? Lol

Gimme a couple minutes. I'll get that fire extinguisher.
Exactly!
Pickup trucks are favorable.... 8 foot bed to keep all your broken parts in!!
I like how dude in the green struck by lighting truck is holding on to the wheel like he still steering while he’s being pulled 😂
He still has to steer 😂😂😂😂😂😂 ya can’t just be pulled ya have to steer while being pilled
Pulled
He has to steer while he is being pulled idiot or the truck/tractor will roll over
Nutin like taking your time getting to the fire. 😂
Right lol especially the top fuel car lol
Those darned active adjustable toe units! Never work out...

After watching some of these morons, I don't blame him!
Big Nasty give the sled man a ride!
When the backup alarm starts beeping it's over son
The fire response at these things is a joke!
man listen it's just a fire what could go wrong?

I know guys in wheelchairs and they could put the fires out faster.

Been to prob a dozen Pulls over the yrs. Never seen a wheel/axle break like that. Flames yep. But broken axles and roaming tires nope.
11:43 that was a season ender for the Alcoholic Harvester team last year.
I thought is was a real nice Christmas gift you gave me. Merry Christmas Bricen

At 9:05 MAN I LOVE THAT TRUCK UT LOOKS SO BADASS AWESOME!!!!!!
4:45 ripped the steering wheel right off!
Old guy at 3:41 was ready to meet his maker 😂
He definitely wasn’t in a hurry. Even after being told he was on fire.
Yep, you broke it!
So if his wheel goes the full distance but his tractor bites the dust, how do they score it?
Not known for their reaction times when the vehicle is on fire now are they?

Those dollar store front wheels. 😂
LOL , looks like Parks Engine Service from Seguin Texas built all the engines that went pop and burned .
Ouch ouch ,hate seeing these guys break can just imagine how much money it takes to run these high horsepower machines.
A motor is probably at least 10k. And that's just the motor
a lot of horsepower in my truck and a lot of fat in my body! america, fuck yeah!
T buckets should have roll bars !!
I'm not s big diesel guy but curious what type of fuel these high HP diesels use, can't just be regular diesel is it??
They'll blow nitrous and propane.
@@jamesb120 All hell breaks loose when you 2 different fuels with different flash points in 1 chamber!
All diesel fuel is the same. There is no high performance diesel fuel or regular diesel fuel. Its just diesel fuel.

Hylon fire extinguisher and radial tires on the bouncing trucks.
Why are you using mod hooks from '20?
How slow is the fire control?.....
oh man all the bits falling out tragic :D
Some of these seem to *really* stretch the definition of "tractor" and "truck"
Nice .bravo
What is this "Yib-bi-boop boo..." at the end of the semi's run???
Hear it with some other fails also....
Sounded like a combination of air brakes and wastegate release
My question is every motorsport other then maybe mx racing requires a fire suppression system why none here
That has to hurt the bank
Machine shops and go fast parts suppliers see these fools coming over a mile away....send em down the road after breaking it off in their @$$ and tell em have a good day
I wish I could enjoy and help them out but I don’t drive
like they call it a truck but lets be real here... the only thing these have in common with regular truck is they have 4 wheels. lol
очень круто
why are most of drivers look like they have never missed a meal ..????
EZ COME EZ GO. 😆😅😄
Ouch.............. 😮
Where do they get all that money? I have built a performance engine or two, lots of cash.
Sponsors, drug deals, robbery. lol

Why oesn't aanyone have a damn fire extinguisher?
no one engine harmed
5:12 I wonder if a team could sue those who fail to put a fire out. Or do the teams sign away their lives in order to compete?
Maybe they're just blind
Those tiny hand held extinguishers are a joke!
I noticed one guy using wasp spray....seemed to work.

That's the point... it's to see who can go the furthest without stopping
If this is not the most pointless, wasteful, stupid activity ever indulged in by supposedly sentient beings, I don't know what is.
Stifle. This is just an outtake reel. There are other videos showing other tractors making an uneventful trip down the course.
Then don’t watch it.
