I work in corporate America and have worn family inherited brooches since I finished university. My Mama passed the day after Thanksgiving 2023 and I now wear her initial brooch. 💘

I wore one sided earrings (with a stud on the other side for balance) in the 80s and I did so again the other day just or fun (it also helps when you lost one of a very favourite pair). I had no idea I was on trend!

Hello Leoni - you’re in my world now! I have been collecting vintage costume jewellery for many years now (I’m 74 so recognise the real stuff when I see it). Brooches, yes, they’ve never gone out of fashion for me. You can wear them on clothes, hats, bags and scarves. Some of the vintage pieces are stunning and so well made. I keep taking boxes of the stuff to auctions because I don’t want to remain in business selling them. But I really have trouble parting with my brooches in particular. I have ‘found’ some nice pieces of non-costume. Pearls are very ‘in’ in the U.K. at the moment - but I’ve always thought pearls looked very elegant. Even the boys are wearing pearls here. My jewellery is my toys …. When I look through old boxes that haven’t been touched for years, it’s like Christmas - it’s amazing how much I’ve managed to forget over the years. Can’t even remember what I had for tea yesterday ?????
    Don’t get old !!!!

Be careful using broaches on silk scarves. If the pin itself is larger and dull it leaves a permanent hole.

I love necklaces layering, but not that way. I would go maybe for paperclip one, mixed a few layers with little bit thinner, and adding solitaire necklace in the middle. Also not too chunky ones. Love mismatch earrings or even different earrings , but not just one earring. Love chunky bracelets. Have a blessed day🙏❤️

Re the large single earring, I wore that in the 80's and what made it work then was that we'd have our hair swept over one side and then the ''hairless'' side would have the earring x

I used to be a jewelry designer in the fashion industry, I left because I was burnt out. I loved the designing aspect, not a fan of the business side. Anyway, I still have many pieces of my jewelry that I designed, I did a variety of styles. I still make things for myself. I have some great minimalist cuffs and earrings I designed that I've already started wearing again. I also like the idea, of layering chunkier style necklaces, I think I'll try that out. I love the jewelry that Ralph Lauren had for Spring/Summer 2024. It was gorgeous, so my style.

You may not have predicted anklets but you can predict the next summer trend will be tada "Toe Rings" because this trend is a boho cross over from the 90's being used in the more structured fashion to give it a little hippie flare.

Super excited! I wear broaches placed at the neck in the middle of a sleeveless turtle neck. It's SUPER ELEGANT. I actually noted a Countess who had a broach placed at the neck coupled w/ a pair of short pearls. She was being interviewed in her European Manor home.

First off... You look great in that color! I have collected vintage for many years . I given most to my daughter when I stopped working. I kept some special pieces to wear on the waist of high waisted trousers. I used to hunt down large antique earrings so I could clip them on my pumps. Jewelry is so fun and I love fun but a mess around my neck just takes precedence over every other detail and I can't go there. Now I can go for a mess on my ears! I love earrings but yeah, they have to look balanced for me in look, not numbers. Interesting video as usual. Thank you for your time.

BROOCHES ARE BACK! I love them so! I think gender reveal is cute, but that one I may have to pass on that one, unless it translates to grandmothers, and that ship sailed, too. I bought a men’s Citizen dive watch last week and I LOVE it. While it is quite large, it works for me and I have no trouble SEEING it, so it is practical as well. As for stacks and “messes” I love jewelry and have since I was just a little girl-so I’m all in! Another great one, Leonie! Hope you are doing well! 🌻

Leonie, I’m actually on the hunt for a safety pin such as was used on kilts years ago. I love maxi skirts and discovered a wraparound skirt that I can wear over leggings and skinny jeans in winter. Like the skirts over pants idea, except the pants are hidden and worn with knee length boots. The skirt addition makes me feel wonderfully warm, but it only ties at the waist. A bit of wind and no more benefit. So a decorative safety pin would be ideal.

A lot of nods to the 80’s with these jewelry trends! I LOVE IT!!! Random question here… have you ever thought about showing how a trend can translate to a true plus size body? Not midsize. PLUS size. It would be so helpful to a girl who loves your content but sighs in frustration because she feels like very little of it can apply to her own closet. She keeps hoping that one day….

Hello. Layering necklaces and bracelets I've done that for years. Love it. I also that IG'er follow her. There's another IG'er that does the same. Love the yellow or orange sweater your wearing.

I like all of these trends, with the exceptions of the single earring, and the mismatched earrings, those are a hard no for me.

Cool! I never stopped wearing brooches and ankle bracelets. And I love the look of neck mess, but I couldn't wear it personally, just too much hassle putting it all on/off. Pass on the baby reveal stuff, I think that as a concept is just faff in itself (pregnancy and birth is very private affair to me personally).

What about the bowknots and watches on neck? Are you kidding? This two are the major trends to 2024!
