I always agree with these videos and I critique my own equipment. Other than film cameras - I shoot Nikon/Sony but I use my Nikon lenses on my Sony body to help streamline everything.

Back in the late 70's I got a good discount on a Zero Haliburton aluminum case because it had a big scratch on it. I still use it today. I have no clue which scratch was the original one.
In 40+ years, I've only bought two new camera bodies. The rest were used as were the lenses. Only enough, most of these cameras are now considered vintage, if not antique, at this point and are now worth more than when I bought them. That tends to happen after 40 years of photography.
It takes so long to learn a camera at a really pro level that I am impressed/mortified by people who can talk fluently about different cameras. I've been doing this only a few years and every time I do a project I learn something about how my two cameras work. It's complicated enough that one of them is an update of the other...
My best saving was to stop renting a studio. Thankfully I was out before covid got started. I now rent studios by the day and bill the expense to the client.
Your points about pricing and how to treat depreciable assets are right on the money! A lot of us want to buy new fancy gear, and it's okay if we admit that we're doing it for the toy factor, because it's absolutely not for the financial reasons that some people claim.
Not a professional, but I tend to buy new camera bodies over used because I typically only replace them every ten years or so when it becomes impossible to fix it again. Always stick with Nikon because I've been shooting it since the late 80s and I can still use my lenses (I sometimes have to use manual focus). Even on my mirrorless with an adapter. If I was a pro, I might upgrade more often.
Same - just replaced my 5D mk ii with an R5 ...and it's a toss up between which of us fails first ;-)
Also - haven't bought a new lens since the 70-200 I bought to go with the mk ii ... all have been used (I use MPB now for that, and 'good' is good enough ;)

I got a billingham Hadley pro 2019 that first carried my camera gear but now contains my work laptop, charger, powerbank and lunch.
The best part is that the bag doesn't weigh too much empty so with all of my work stuff it doesn't get too heavy when fully packed!
Bang on with the bags. I've had my Billingham for 30 years now, absolutely perfect, does the job and cannot be faulted. Also I have the Thinktank airport for trips with a lot of gear in tow (I am slowly trimming down the amount of gear I own/use). Plus I can't recommend enough the 'Glass taxi' from Thinktank, essential for anyone who has a big lens like 300 or 400mm.
Re camera bags. I use Peli cases and the screws used to rattle out of my gear, but I swapped the wheels out for skateboard wheels - silence is golden. They also make for a handy seat on packed commuter trains.
Agree with all of the above! I did buy a new camera about 4 years ago. But only because it had the auto focus system I needed for video and there wasn't much in the second hand market at the time
yeah video is actually advancing very fast right now from year to year.
I second this. Although, I really enjoy wireless tethering. Purchasing used is the best way to start out and stay profitable throughout your career.

I’ve found the cheap USB-C cables also usually have higher resistance that reduces power delivery in addition to data connectiviey issues.
Absolutely right about the camera bodies. I paid over $2000 after taxes for the Lumix S5II in February, right now on eBay you could get a brand new body for $1400+. I feel really stupid for letting my excitement get the best of me and buying the camera early.
Don't feel so bad. Think about all of the bad meals you've paid good money for only to visit the loo the following day. Some purchases are meant to be forgotten, quickly, while others are there to remind us to get busy and justify buying them in the first place.
What l like about you is because it’s your business and job you could probably afford any camera you wish and write it off to expenses! But you don’t you use what works for you and that’s brilliant! Proving that the must get this new camera criteria is total bullshit! You sir are a genius! thank you
I've been using the Billingham Bag, and I still do everyday! since 1978!, I also use Tank and pelicase for lights etc when we out on location.

I bought a Billingham Bag back in the early 80’s, like yours been around the world, still going strong, did buy a new large Hadley Pro about 3 years ago, can get a laptop, change of clothing for a few days and a camera and lenses in, I have always used Nikon, D800 at the moment, bought second hand, still producing excellent results, was left a Fuji XT2, have bought a couple of extra lenses for it, all second hand from MPB,

I just bought a brand new Canon R8, which is my first camera since a Canon 80D many years ago. It will be the last camera I ever buy (I'm 79) and I'll amortize it over some unknown number of years. And it works with the lenses I already owned, via non-Canon adaptors. -- BAK --
I think it is crazy I can buy the R8 cheaper than I can buy a 5D MK IV. Neither have IBIS. I have a 90D, and the R8 is only $300.00 more than I paid for that camera. I have high dollar EF lenses that are made for a full frame camera, and a full frame would be a great second camera. The only thing that probably makes the 5D MK Iv worth the cost, is that it is a heavy duty build with a 30MP sensor. I am 69, so not far behind you.
I do agree 100% do you need to find the right camera set up and lighting set up and stick with it the only time you need to deviate from that idea is if you have to buy something if you’re going to specialize, like I have a ringlight for my fashion and playboy model shoots that is not made by the same company as my other lights (Norman’s) it is also battery operated because I take it on location!
I have 3 1200 and one 2400 godox. My fav purchases ever. They aren’t going anywhere ever. The p2400 is just incredible
I started shooting with Fujifilm before I went pro because I wanted portability + good priced lenses. Bought a secondary body that shares the same sensor as a backup which also serves me for street photography.
Everything has been second hand. My only new camera was my first Nikon DSLR because I didn’t know better at that time. If not I would’ve definitely gone the other way.
There’s a lot of FOMO and GAS going around but at the moment the only thing I may invest in is another body with better video specs if I start to get more gigs that require video. Good News is that Fujifilm also has a camera for that that’s compatible with my current lenses.
Spot on with the cables advise. USB-C is just the connection type. The tech comes in different generations. Right now Thunderbolt 4 is the fastest. So you want a USB Type C, Thunderbolt 4 cable. Same with HDMI which is just the connection type.
Excellent advice!! I wish I had been wiser years ago and not switched camera brands so oten. Would have saved me a tidy sum. For the past 20 years I shoot one brand only plus a wonderful Fuji for street photography (I love a proper aperture ring).
As I began getting back to photography, I decided to add a full frame DSLR to my trusty 7D, so I I bought a 5D. With new-in-the-box cameras, you don't always get what you pay for. With a nearly 20-yr-old camera like the 5D, you get what somebody else paid for.
You are spot on I use my D850 and an old D800 they all have paid for themselves many times over I was tempted to go into nikons z system but just couldn't justify it
Some investments are hard to foresee. 10y ago I chose Canon and doing portrait work, ended up working in a studio which had everything Nikon and by the end the job was mostly events. After 3 years I sold my Canon to buy the next model, brand new but about to be discontinued as well, putting only 150€ from my pocket. Now I decided on Sony, was able to get a two month / 100 shots old A7r III (I think it's from 2017) in 2021 and brand new Zeiss 55 and Sony 90 Macro, for roughly 2.8k. It's more, but it's more modern/faster/video capable gear too. EF just went out, but Sony FE will probably still be running in 20 or 30 years, which includes new lenses, parts, supports and maybe the possibility to hop to "semi-old" bodies at a low cost. Currently I could get a backup A7r II with the same sensor, for less than 900€ or in 5y/10y/15y maybe upgrade to the "next in line" for very little money, while keeping all glass fully functional.
Not arguing if this was a better or worse investment, but continuity and support might become relevant down the line. There's a limit to how old/used can you go with "as long as it does the job". A 500€ 10y old Mac might run Photoshop, but might not be worth all the waiting times, crashes and instability. Same as an old car having more repairs/running costs yearly than half of it's own value, in two years you would have paid a car twice as expensive. This line is not always clearly defined.
I can tell you a 5DS compared to a newer mirrorless is game changing when doing events like weddings. For studio work you always have great lighting conditions. Studio work is a beast of own and not comparable to almost any other type of photography where we don’t have total control of the lighting and elements. I went from D850 to Z7ii mirrorless Nikon bodies and it was the best decision I ever made. Eye tracking and switching to subject tracking with a single press of a button is worth its wait in gold.
Agreed. For fast pace jobs or like I do a lot of events with poor light, yes a new system that can handle high Iso without a problem it's a must. For studio or portraits here you control the light, or even real estate where you use a tripod and low Iso, you can also have, besides a older body, average lenses and not fast ones that are more expensive and get well with it.
So many photographers don't understand the economics owning vs hiring & purchasing secondhand
The 2 camera's i use one was brand new the other 2nd hand and most of the lenses i bought were always at a price i could afford many were 2nd hand . I don't buy to put myself into debt.
And mirrorless gear is insanely unaffordable

The only new thing I've acquired is the Cambo Actus; once I worked out how to convert ALL of my lg fmt lenses (cheaply) with just one lens-board - there was no looking back. The workhorse cameras are P.Lumix mirrorless system and as there was a limited image size I augmented it with a larger sensor Fuji-X. As the back of the Actus has Fuji & M4/3 flanges both bodies work on the Actus and I can swap to use the Lumix on outdoor locations. Just about all my kit is now modular ...... just as I designed it to be.
Use my third think tank bag now, - agree totally in what you said about gear...shot around 450 000 clicks per body ( Nikon D700) still works without changing the shutter. For theatre-photography I use the Nikon Z6ii with an adapter for the F-System Lenses, - will stay with it as long as possible. From time to time I use an old Linhof Technika 6x9 for
analogue shootings. Got it as a present 40 years ago...still works fine. For Studiowork I bought an old Plaubel Stand with a weight of around 80kgs. Fast for reproductions of paintings etc. Love my gear, because I am used to every single grip.- Maintenance of gear is important. When possible use a lot of WD40 or Ballistol for my stands and save a lot of money by doing so. Only things I buy new is paper roll backgrounds and lee filters for my rotolights. Flashwise I use profoto and adapters for bowens lightformers.
At 450k photos that sensor is already wasted long before. If you have a business, you have to renew the bodies after 150k max.
I agree about buying used on most things except cameras and lenses, when I was making a living at this business( some 40 years) I needed to know my cameras and lenses are working as best as they can. While one might find a good deal on something used, just like anything else it is hard to know how it was treated by it's last owner. It could need far more than a shutter replacement repair, was it dropped, was it mistreated, in my long career it was not worth the risk. I bought used to play with but not for work. Good example was the condition of rentals, when the Fuji GX680 came out I just had to try it on a shoot, fell in love and would rent them whenever i felt the need for what they could do that my Mamiya RZ could not. Only problem was every rental would breakdown do to one thing or another, nothing one could tell from just picking one up and checking it out. Still wanted to shoot with one so I took the risk and bought my own new one, guess what never had an issue, the new camera I owned and took care of worked flawlessly for years. Buy used lights, stands, tripods, even computers or rent those items, and only buy used cameras if you want a vintage one , I always bought new for work. I love old vintage cameras and own a number of them, but they are art toys nothing I would have used on a job as the main tool. Also even though those bags are well made never liked bags with buckles, the only one I still own now has fishing reels in it.
Very true about the tax thing. Many people think 100% deductable is like free but no. I always see it as a 30% discount because it's deductible.
A lot of people treat camera releases like the new iPhone release and not like a business decision.
I still use a Nikon D700 and an old nikon 50mm prime lens. It's an amazing full frame set up that you can get for less than a new GoPro.

Sometimes I have trouble figuring out which of my four 50mm /1.8 lenses I need and which are excessive...
1 for work, 1 for nostalgia, 2 for fun.
Did exactly the same with the cables. My lovely looking bright orange tether tools cable just refused to work on location with constant disconnections, very embarrassing. Now I have a 9.5m Area51 cable that just works, I have no idea what the difference is, it just works.
I was in Bangkoks best camera shop 3 years ago and picked up this local brand (Foto File) but good quality camera backpack in their bargain bin. The bag had this not so great faux leather front which was tatty on some of the 3 bags but there rest of the bag was a solid design and for $40 it was perfect for lugging my Sony A9 200-600mm binoculars and a second body, 85mm and TC plus 13" laptop in the front pocket. Still using it, its been all around Indonesia, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka England and Australia several times. Chuck in in the overhead or in the back of the ute. Straps have been sewn up twice by a local seamstress in Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
I knew a man who lived across the alleyway behind the house I grew up in. Man was a millionaire. He told me, and this is something he said over forty years ago, that he "never buys a new car". Why? He said, "It depreciates as soon as you drive it off of the lot. Always buy one a couple of years after the problems have been worked out". Now that dealt with an automobile but in general it's advice that's applicable to most everything. Don't be a first adopter!
I think a lot of people mix want and need together using the terms interchangeably and justify it as a business need when tax season rolls around. Ultimately if you WANT something and you can afford it then go for it but don't do it under the premise that you NEED it.

Yeah it really shouldn't matter, but those wheels are the sole reason I chose that bag over others.
Top touch on your first point, Cameras: I see so many Photography RUclipsrs replacing their entire setups every 1 year or two, and I can't for the life of me understand why.
The reason is very simple. Advertising. The camera brands that sponsor them dont' want to them using the old stuff. They want them promoting and showing the new stuff. You won't get priority for review samples or sponsorship deals as easily or ever if you're the guy using the 5 year old body in all your videos. Always remember a you tuber is a professional you tuber not a professional photographer in 99% of cases. The photography they do is only to provide content and credibly to their you tube channel and social media following that makes them most of their money.
There has been very little improvement in camera sensors when it comes to photography anyways, no need to change something that has been working. The only reason I decided to upgrade to a new camera this year is I needed a better video camera.
You have to buy a new body after a while though, the sensors wear out. But that means more than 100k photos on a body like canon 5d mark iv, but at that point it's considered that you already got the return on your investment.
Not really. It depends on the kind of work you do. If you do a lot of wildlife or sports you would benefit more from the better high iso performance of the newer cameras. If you mostly do studio work, it’s a very controlled environment and you don’t really benefit from a newer camera.
@@hy7968 I didn't say there was no improvement, I just said little, and I'm talking about photography overall. Of course there have been improvements, but for the majority of photographers they will not see much benefit using a brand new camera than they would from something that came out a few years prior
@@AmaraARW not really. The better autofocus and stabilisation of newer bodies would be a noticeable upgrade for most people. Plus the better sensor tech would mean that you would have a more versatile setup that can handle different lighting situations, or provide a bit more leeway if you mess up the exposure. But I don’t think that most people need the latest and greatest because cameras from 2-3 years ago are usually much cheaper and have most of the same features. If you’re talking about the difference between several camera generations than it’s obviously gonna be huge.
You could obviously do well with an older camera, just look at the camera gear many award winning photographers use. The newer bodies just make life a lot easier and it allows you to focus more on other aspects of taking a photo like composition or lighting.
@@hy7968 My original post was about camera sensors specifically. While other features can be a QOL improvement, the most important thing people consider, or at least should be considering when looking at buying a camera is the quality of the sensor. It's not the only thing to consider, but in line with the content of this video it's the most important from a financial aspect. Buying a new and/or expensive camera doesn't make financial sense for the vast majority of photographers. It doesn't need to be pointed out that xy and z photographer have a specific use case because that's a given. Any honestly, it's not like those photographers weren't able to get the job before these new cameras existed.
I have the Canon 5DS... best camera I have ever owned.. I also just bought a Canon C100 for making short films... that camera came out in 2014! $$$ SAVINGS $$$ 🥰🤩

Do you find there's a slight difference in performance between 5ds' you have?
Yeah, well two camera systems for two completely different functions… a MFT body costs 200€, lenses cost a third of FF and the whole kit weighs less than a FF body and fits into coat pockets. Trying to get my FF work camera to fit the EDC function would mean getting very specific lenses that I don’t otherwise need and a pricey bag and shooting with an attractive camera in dodgy areas. I’m saving money and stress by having two systems.
I still don't understand what charging for "usage" is, why we do it, or how we justify it to the client.

They are just classy bags even for every day life.
If you do family portraits its awesome to have a camera that will auto focus even when there is a bright sky in the background of the subject. Even if the object is moving fast it will still keep it in focus.
I have more expenses than income. I can deduct all the taxes i get easily. I also dont need to pay anything to social welfare because my income is lower than the minimum.

BMPCC 6K is so sharp and so is your lens. But BMPCC has no OLPF.. Maybe because they expected us to use vintage soft lenses on it?..
There is this "rawlite" upgrade but it's expensive and it's handywork to install it. And I'm not sure if your warranty stays.

I started with a Sony a6400 and after 4 months I went directly for the Fuji GFX system, because it offers everything I want and it's a long term investment. It was expensive, but I will not do this every year. Actually the GF lenses will hold a life time and the body at least 5 years if not more.
There are many reasons I went for the GFX 100s, but in general the purpose of your photography is the main factor when buying gear.
All I need now is 3 lenses and I will probably never buy another one except the new GF 55mm f1.7, maybe.
But this is just me, probably I'm crazy 😂
PS: this is a complicate subject and I think I will explain it also when I will make a vlog, one day.

Now I could be talking out of my hat here but I'll mention what I did. Every lens and camera I have bought second hand for a fraction of the cost of a new one, apart from 1 camera body. When I updated from a canon m6 to full frame. I saved almost everything I had to buy a R5C. Now my logic at the time was if I get this camera this will be my camera for the next 10 year's, I can build up a good portfolio of gear to suit it and I dont see a camera such as that becoming obsolete anytime soon, I also wanted to move over to the rf lenses and have a camera I can also use for long RUclips videos as well. Apart from that, every lens and second camera bodies have been no more then $900aud
Second hand is definitely the way to go. But if your going to make a transition into something, why not invest a little into your future. Just my thoughts anyway 😊
Camera Bag(s): (2) Tamrac Super Pro 614's. If ALL of the gear that you use CAN'T fit in those 2 bags, you're taking "too much shit" on assignment! These bags do not roll. These bags are so "old school", Chiropractors will smile lovingly at you every time you visit their office for an "adjustment". Never in the last 25 years did I feel as though I might have forgotten something: because it's in the bags. I will graduate to the Thinktank Road Manager 50 v2., as all good things should come to an end. (Lol)!
I question the money to sense ratio by habit. I heard so often from club photographers statements such as: you must go full frame; or why it's so essential to go mirrorless. When questioning why? And whether the benefits justify the cost, such changes are rarely, if ever, essential. I'm more obsessed with technique and creativity than gear.
"you must" is not a valid argument. The purpose of your photography and the nische you're aiming for determines what kit you need. If you want to shoot sports, yeah, maybe you need a z9, or r5, r3, alpha 1. And then a 400mm f2.8. There is no shortcut on that if you want to be competitive, considering you want to be sure you get as many jobs as possible and build the best portfolio possible.
So does gear matter? It depends for what.
@@claudianreyn4529 I agree. The genres I shoot need relatively simple kit. Landscape, architecture and fine art.
I shoot 2 Nikon full frame d850’s, a d810, and 2 crop sensor d500’s. I have 14 full frame lenses and 4 crop sensor lenses. I don’t actually need half of this stuff, but I’m not a logical man and I have a GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) problem and truly need to deal with it. I plan to sell 2 bodies and 6 lenses soon. It’s not easy being me😵💫

Not sure about the cables.
I had a Tether Tools cable - and I admit I spent 54 Euro because I liked the Orange - and what happened? It did break. Just look at those cables and even in the official product photos you can see they are already twisted inside of their outer coating. So you use them a year and roll them up a few dozen times and they stop working.
Now I'm using a USB-C cable I got from amazon, 4,5 meters, textile coating, pretty nice - although sadly not orange. Cost me 30% the price of my old cable and works just as good. Also because it's thinner and way more flexible it takes up a lot less space in my bag.
It's just an anecdote of course not a statistic. It might have been bad luck with the more expensive cable. ;)
Things I would only ever buy new from a main supplier - rode video mics. Why - there is a roaring trade of fakes because they are a small piece of tech that is easy to knock off. There is also a roaring trade of second hand fakes, driven by by people who bought "new fakes" and are trying to offload them. Be warned.
I bought a Canon 6D new. Still got it, and I’m planning to shoot it to the point of total failure.
Is there also a reliability advantage of used equipment because its effectively been soak tested already? Or does it not work like that?
yeah deffo. If its got to 50K shutters then its probably going to be fine for another 100K actuations.
Scored a pentax K-50 dslr for 100 got 2 more batteries for 18 and lenses were basically free. I got another flash in a pack of camera flashes which once they are sold... itll be free. And have battery pack coming and may need to add new batteries to it but thats maintinence. Whopping 50 plus the 3 packs for 30 shipped. And i got a new sd card for 30 but has 256gb. So im still under 500. My camera bag got free.
I hate cars anyway, but buying a new car can be cost effective... it depends...
How many euros (or pounds, or dollars) per Kilometer (or miles) did your car cost you at the end ?
For some who drive a lot, buying new, and selling it 2 years later at the quite good price can be better... because they still have news cars, no bills for repair... In my case, a second hand car is more cost effective because i don't drive a lot...
I have been in business for 6 decades and I never understood, in any of the fields involved at the same time(pro photography, large 197 Gold and platinum album recording studio, horse ranch, high end dress store and the largest pro audio equipment repair center in the US, likely the world.All at the same time and see only about 0.1th of Pro photographers treat it as a business. New gear...interesting, fun cool but, it it does not increase the income directly, more than its cost, it makes no businesses sense. It might be more fun, or an ego boost but a stills photographer who ungrades every release, it going backwards. I am in the Nikon realm, and see no difference in income from my cameras that span 15 years. Can anyone tell the difference in a print from any FF camera made in the last 15 years? I have friends who are in the Sony realm and buy the newest version every 1.5 or their product cycle. They can't cite any reason other than it is newer or that it has some new feature that just happens to not be needed for any of their client work. So they have a dozen cameras on the shelf that never paid for themselves, and fail in spotting a difference in files from any of them. Face it, those updating every new model, are camera hobbyists and not photography services. When I need another camera I get the best one new or used that fits the requirement. I use a Z6 for most of my work, but we have 3 D850, 2 D800, 2 D700, 2 D3s and they all get used and have paid for themselves 20 times over. We do not do sports but mostly studio actor portfolios, ballet, opera, fashion, and head shots.
What DOES make a difference? Not cameras but lighting and modifiers. Having a staff MUA instead of paying on call, is is a money saver. When she is not preparing a client she is doing billing and office work. Pays for herself in many ways. The most cost effective item, is the largest cyclorama in the city of 7mil. Built it myself over over a Christmas brake. I build 2 camera stands, which took 2 days so saved $2000. Having a romantic bedroom scene, total cost $650 has paid for itself in boudoir sessions, our only female shooter on staff does as a specialty, 20times over in 2 years. Nothing is done at less than high professional grade, that is what our income comes from, but cash outlay is much less than those who spend thousands every year on a new camera when they had not mastered the old one. Stick with one until you legitimately outgrow it. That might be 15 years. Recognize that net income awaits for those who learn the difference between need and want. If you are not winning awards now, are you really in need of a new camera, the old one you know well is still better then the user in the vast majority of cases.
If cameras are your hobby, and have the money such that the family budget does not end up with more credit card debt, have fun and keep replacing perfectly good cameras.
You can swap out the wheels on a pelican case for in-line skate wheels that are soft. Best mod ever.

yeah I have thought about this, but wasnt sure on axel sizes etc and just making the worlds worst case haha. I also think part of the problem is a fully rigid plastic case just has no give when wheeling around
Just for your information, Cobra cables are not even close to Area51's, I tested them out myself, and big surprise, don't trick yourself into yellow cables. It was a huge pain to get a refund and to return the product to Germany (their refund policy only applies in Germany). I had to discuss with them for a whole week, sending proof and videos and ending up paying myself the cable transportation to their headquarters to get a duly refund after weeks. So pleeeease don't believe the hype too quick

My camera goes in an ugly dirty bag from the seventies When I walk around at night people should assume there is an Agfa Clack inside.
For the same reason, I often keep my camera in Aldi bag. I put a piece of black tape over the name (Canon) and type. (750D).

Disagree on camera bodies. If somebody starts photography nowadays mirrorless is the default, why limit yourself with 8 year old camera if You can afford fairly new one.
Very few high level pros use mirrorless atm and there are great reasons for that. Mostly that the top brand in the industry still doesnt make one, but regardless of that the bodies I use are still very much the staple on the studio
As photography is my hobby, that I mostly do to unwind after work, I don't worry too much about keeping my photography profitable by keeping costs down, because it isn't profitable. In my job I spend more money in a day on behalf of the tax payers, than my annual salary - in fact some times 100 times more.
So the need to unwind shouldn't be ignored... Often times I find it extremely satisfying to learn to master a camera/system, that is new to me, so I have definitely added too many different systems to my collection. And, I do feel it has improved my skills to know my way around a camera no matter what system I have in my hands.
That doesn't mean, I buy new though. With the exception of one camera body, 4 lenses, a tripod and my camera bags, every piece of camera gear I own is second hand.
If I were a professional photographer, I'd stick to one system, because it would be about making money. But, with photography as a hobby, things can be different.

What is the argument for buying bags brand new? High end sure, but I dont see the point not buying a used quality bag if its not broken. You can save a lot of money and often the bags are sold because they just sit in the other persons closet.
Certain brands when you buy brand new offer you a lifetime guarantee, which I have utilised a lot haha
