I needed this since zero kiwami 1 and 2 came out on game pass I started playing them in order and I'm loving the series but was confused with this one after zero
I started yakuza kiwami yesterday on hard mode and oh god i was underprepered for boss fight at funeral, it took me almost 1.5 hour to beat that bastard...
Nice literally this is my first Yakuza game and I'm literally at the last mission and I needed to know how to sell the plates and nobody said it except you so you deserve more subs keep up the good job👍
Latecomer to the series - did zero last year and am most of the way through Kiwami 1, plan to play through all of them steadily with a couple of other games in between each. Really enjoyed this video. One thing I would add to your comments on the skill trees is that I personally would recommend players pick up the "essence of...." skills in the soul menu I think it is, relatively early on. They don't cost too many experience points in the grand scheme of things, and not only are they cool in themselves when you use them, I *think* it's them that stop some of the bosses recuperating health if you can use them in time. And especially early on in the game when Kiryu is under developed (and a couple of the fights can be tough as it is) that can be a bit of a pain to deal with.
Tbh, i needed this, i started kiwami asmy first yakuza game cuz it was one of 4 yakuza games on ps plus, and this was the oldest one of them so i started with it

Hey you should put the trick on the majima fight were you get the marlin cannon and use it to easily defeat majima and get an 100 level boost on the beggining
How do you use the unorthodox objects, like the modified lighter or the slime spray, on the PC version? Everywhere on the internet, people only ever explain it with the controller, and I'm on mouse and keyboard. The game doesn't tell you. Just finished up Yakuza 0 and am about to finish up Cabaret Club Czar, then I plan to start Kiwami. This was a great video, short and to the point, and I’m glad I didn’t get a full run-down of the stuff I already knew from Y0 like the fighting styles themselves, great video! (Also, is there anything that I absolutely must do in Yakuza 0 post-ending before I start Kiwami?)
Since you're already wrapping up Club Czar, the only other things I can think of is finishing the Real Estate Royale campaign, as there is also fun content locked behind it, and other side stories like the dance-off campaign for Kiryu and Majima. These are things that people sometimes complete 0 without ever knowing about.

Finished up Real Estate Royale and got the gold Kiryu statue and I’m considering that my final send off now that I have both Legend fighting styles, so I’d say that I’m good to start Kiwami since I’ve done all the necessary story stuff. I’ll probably go back sometime and do things like complete Pocket Circuit and such, but yeah.

Nah, you're fine. You can come back to zero later, as it is a prequel. It's not mandatory to play it first and no small number of people suggest Kiwami as the best place to start. It's a remake of the original Yakuza title on the PS2. I usually recommend zero to people because it keeps them invested until the end and gives them the desire to play all the games. But there is a chance you might even enjoy zero more playing through to Yakuza 5 first.
Yeah, I have heard of a way. There's an item you can unlock with completion points called Mr. Shakedown's Big Pockets. Apparently, the play is to deliberately lose your money to him at first, reload the world and heal up, get heat up, use some weapons kick the tar out of him. You're supposed to get 50% more money on top of what you lost. Wear your "lucky binding" when you do it. I hear that he just gets harder and harder after the first time you do this. I haven't tried it though, so attempt at your own risk.
How do i level my health? i upgraded everything i completed the game with the tiny healthbar from the start.. it wouldn't let me level my health so now i'm curious, could i have a response please?
I'm not sure what you mean when you say it wouldn't let you level your health. The Body Tree is where all the upgrades to maximum health are. If you have purchased everything in this tree, you would have the most health possible, as far as I know.

@@ChillKaijuClan Hey thought i'd let you know, i actually didn't realise you had to upgrade them in a weird motion turns out i'm an idiot lol, i completed the game but it was a lot more difficult with a lvl 1 health bar hahah!
@Greek Goddess Man, you can play it as you want, but I'll recommend playing Yakuza 0 first, it's a better game, and yes, there are some characters that appear in the other titles, but some are worth knowing here than in their respective games, like nishiki, which I think, is the main reason to play 0 first, and also, there are some characters that are introduced in 0, like pocket fighter, that you won't know their relationship with Kiryu if you dont play 0 first.
You only need to complete the main story once to use the other unlocked outfits. But I wouldn't call completing the story = beating the game, as there are still 100s of hours of stuff to do. After completing the main campaign, you have the option to start Premium Adventure mode which picks up where you left off. You can then access and complete all unfinished content and you don't need to do the main story again.
Definitely might try the subtitles/closed-captions when you're having trouble making things out. I believe I created a subtitle file, so all the captions should be accurate. This is one of the first videos I ever made, so the quality is still very rough around the edges.

You should also try yakuza 0, its the prequel of this game, and also it explains the others fighting styles better.
