It is practically a RWPro without timecode, which is fine for a regular user. I'm a professional and an ex WGII and a WPro user and I'm glad to see all this in this new device, that means the next pro is going to be even better! For me, I only ask for 2 things to make my work even easier: - A dedicated headphone output, so I can monitor the audio directly from the receiver while I keep the receiver sending the timecode and backup audio signal to the camera. - A way to sync timecode on two or more receivers or have a dedicated device just for timecode in a multicamera environment. Usually I record every interview with two cameras and I have 2 pair of RWPro, but they are not completly in sync. Thanks RODE!
RODE teased in an earlier FAQ that they were working on synching the timecode of the RWPro to external devices. This has obviously not happened. They can't even sync properly to a phone (error of 1-2 seconds compared to the phone clock). Come on Rode, you can do better than this! I for one won't be investing in any Pro2 just to get a properly working timecode sync.
@@rodemic Really, please let us use the USB port as an analogue out, even if there's interference. Monitoring doesn't need to be clean as long as you're onboard recording. I basically don't use my Pro's timecode because it's too annoying to use splitters.
This color is so Tom Buck😂 It’s always happyto see RODE announc new product, but i think RODE’s gonna need to do more in order to impress users while competing with DJI or Hollyland. There are many cool new features indeed, but most of them aren’t the first thing people really care about. The most important thing you need to consider is the SIZE, BATTERY LIFE and the BIG LOGO. @@masterinico For more prosumer/semi-professional use, Rode has the Wireless Pro. I’d love to get one to go with my Rodecaster Duo BUT the batteries aren’t replaceable. Your technology is outstanding and will last long after the batteries die. You need to start thinking about all the waste.
What? If the batteries in these die (permanently, which they will eventually), you have to replace the entire unit. If instead the batteries were replaceable, you replace only the battery. Either way they would be producing batteries, but the overall waste is less.

This is a new version of the Wireless GO! 😊
I want a wireless mic to connect to the ipad looper app and record myself playing guitar, is it the right choise?
As long as the app is able to use external microphones, the Wireless GO (Gen 3) should work just fine!
Many people, myself included, have asked for the Wireless Go to lose the BIG logo and glossy surface. It is distracting if the unit appears in an interview. Now we have these silly colors to make the unit even more distracting. Why not offer a “stealth blackout” version of these?
Agreed
How else will they get free advertising on set/in videos?
Also, notice how the talent introducing the microphone is NOT WEARING THE MICROPHONE?! 🤦🏻♂ Hard pass when the DJI Mini is very comparable and super small.
Why not use a lav mic to eradicate these problems? Seems to be small enough to go unnoticed.
@@missoya often in run and gun interviews/vox pops you just need to clip the the transmitter on somewhere like a pocket and you want it to be discreet. But tha shiny rode logo catches theoght and becomes very obvious. It needs to be matt black
Will the existing charging cases work with these new ones?
The Wireless GO II Charge Case is not compatible with the Wireless GO (Gen 3) kit.
I think it would have been cool to see her clearly wearing one as she recorded the video.
Nah, it's too big and glossy tp wear, they know it too, so the talent doesn't wear it
Hey Rode, can you please make it easier to replace battery in these products when the time comes where you eventually have to swap the batteries out of these product in 5~10 years?
We're working on a solution! You can read more here. rode.com/en/microphones/wireless/wireless-go-gen-3
Specs are good, does it work with streamer x ?
It does!
@@rodemic cool!
How about a Rode VideoMIc NTG with onboard 32 bit float?
The improvements Rode did here is like the "improvements" Sony did with the A1 mk2.
Please add the ability to make unique file names when recording. I have 4 (Wireless GO 2) microphones and it often happens that the file names are the same and this creates a lot of problems. for example MIC-1 rec001, MIC-2 rec001, MIC-3rec001
The ability to enable recording from the receiver is also very necessary; this is an obvious function and not difficult to add.
At the moment, you have to manually start recording on each transmitter, which makes it very difficult to use when the transmitter is hidden under clothing.
yep, we need this!
Yes this is one option all the pros would love. I use folders to keep all my files separate though
This video covers the ability to enable recordings from the device. A new button and light indicator have been added for this purpose.
@@Фанеркин you can also set the WG2 and Pro to always record meaning as soon as it’s turned on it starts recording. While this adds some time editing I prefer this method
@@masterinico I know about this, but the file size will be large and with this method (if I’m not mistaken) we lose the ability to record in 32 bits
So longer range and colors. Was hoping for a smaller form factor on the transmitters, or something else. Still happy with the Rode Wirelsss GO II and DJI Mic 2. Hoping someone can continue with what DJI has with the hot shoe camera connection, 4 channel/4 transmitters, etc etc. Love the Rode Interview Pro mic. Cheers.
Thank you for your feedback! We'll be sure to pass this along to our team 🙌
@@rodemic Many thanks!
Can it push the record button from the receiver ??
Correct - you can press the Ø button on the receiver to activate the onboard recording on the TXs!
ราคาในประเทศจะเท่าไรเน้อ
The MSRP is 299USD 😊
Is there any latency when using the headphones and is the quality any good?
There will be a very minimal latency like every wireless signal, but won't be noticeable at all. The quality is amazing!
Why she is not using the latest one - Wireless GO (Gen 3)????
Probably is, but she has a lav mic while using it.
00:27 Next step, wireless flying lens.
I purchased a pair of wireless earbuds that sends the audio to my iPhone via bluetooth for $20. Can someone explain why neither the GO models, or their competitors, can do this?
What is the price
299USD!
Nice! What is the price?
The Wireless GO (Gen 3) is $299USD!
nice job with the colors ... you guys got a cue from Apple ? ;) I know what you ppl are up to !
Ill take a set of red one please :)
Impressive ❤
Hmm, looks more like a WirelessPROII replacement. Can't wait for the WirelessPROIII. ;-)
Being a long time supporter, having both the Gen 1 & 2, now please help me figure out if I should go with the Pro or the Gen 3 🙏
If you need the additional accessories and timecode, the Wireless PRO would be best suited for you!
@ okay, now I am excited about the Gen 3. Hope it will be available in 🇸🇬 soon!
@@edisonfoo3704 the lavaliers that come with the Pro its just a must have, also the charging case
Still missing a user replaceable battery.
Wow! I want it!
love my WG II, not in the market for an upgrade yet. I never use onboard recording because it defaults to -20db. It's hard to mix this to -6 in final cut pro. Does anyone actually use the onboard recording? I have it set to float.
Big miss here having her introduce it with a lav mic
great deal !
SIMPLE: Rode Wireless Pros BUT WITHOUT EQUIPMENT and WITH COLOR OPTIONS.
and the joke is I will buy this over the pro just to get pink
Colors are Cool :)
Awesome!
Interesting that she is not using those mics in the video
How do you know it's not connected to that lav? 😏
Seems like it is wireless pro … I just them .. now both became same it looks like .
She's pleasant 😉 I love my wireless pros
When are y’all gonna start selling this merch..tryna get this top for the wifey
Passing this on to the team ✍️
Isn't this product superior in every way than wireless pro?
No it's a wireless pro without timecode, charging case and 2 lac mics for 20 $ less.
As long the wireless pro is available, it's the better choice in my opinion. But I think a new more expensive pro 2 version will come out soon.
I hope with 4 channels and more pro features to separate it from the Go 3.
Let’s go 🙌🔥
Sorry, remind me why it was wise for your customers to run out and buy the Wireless Pro again please?
What about people who just bought the pro like myself? Is there going to be an update to incorporate some of these new features? Or should I just return my pro lol
What features are you missing from the Pro?
@ yeah I want know what the updates would be on the pro.
