I literally was just preaching the gospel to one of my friends last night. I wasn’t sure if I got through to them or not and briefly found myself frustrated. This video reminded me that the Holy Spirit was also at work last night because it’s not our job to convert but plant and water as you highlighted . Thank you for sharing this video and this channel. It has encouraged me to preach the gospel more and it definitely has helped me become more effective in my approach and my heart when I go about it.

Amen, preach it. The sower sows but he knows not how the seed grows.
We’re called to preach the Gospel and let God do the rest, as Preston said

When you preach are you able to prove that what the Bible says is factual without having to use the Bible as it’s own reference?

    • @kelletttothechad
      @kelletttothechad 5 лет назад +2

      Luke Times
I choose to believe the Bible because it is a reliable collection of historical documents, written by eye witnesses during the lifetime of other eye witnesses. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophesies and claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.
What would it take for you to believe the Bible is the Word of the living God?
Adequately describe the condition of your heart?
Give specific names of cities, governors, kings that corroborates w the time of the events recorded?
Have you read the New Testament? Read the book of John and think about Almighty God revealing Himself thru the person of Jesus Christ and living with His creation. Think about the Crucifixion and it being an incontrovertible historical event. We know which tomb Jesus was placed in and that tomb was empty on the third day bc He forever defeated sin and death.
Read 1Corinthians 15. Paul attests how Jesus, post Resurrection, revealed Himself to 500 other people, “of which are still alive”! Pail is begging the readers to go and question the eye witnesses.
Listen, I almost died last year from a collapsed lung. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. What you need to do is turn from your previous thoughts about God and trust Jesus is Lord and God raised Him from the dead and you shall be saved!!

Too add on to your answer for question #3- even if none of the seeds you planted in the minds of those individuals comes to fruition, thousands of people watch these videos and learn from them. I can say without a doubt that these videos have been INSANELY effective in instructing me on realistic evangelism and how to to defend the hope that is in me- so that I can spread the gospel with gentleness and reverence. More than an apologist, you are a teacher. Though you might not get to see the impact these videos, your poetry, or your podcast makes in peoples lives- God’s Kingdom can definitely feel it!

Excellent video Preston! As believers, we have to not only humble ourselves, but when we step out in boldness, obedience, and faith we literally have to just trust God. Of course it would be wonderful if every seed we planted bore bountiful fruit but just like you said, these conversations aren't happening to make a convert in 30-45 minutes. In a world where people are searching for truth and being tossed to and fro, its imperative we ask God to give us a heart to reach the lost. We can't be content in our own little bubble, just being saved and sitting in our favorite chair at church service on Sunday is not enough! Keep the great content coming!

Just a heads-up, you’re getting ads for the “Restored Church Of God” pamphlets under this video, which seem to be a non-Trinitarian cult church

    • @carissad7724

The ads you see are actually an algorithm from your phone from things you search & watch 😊 so if you're watching a christian video and that church advertises and in your area you may see an ad for them. I saw a makeup ad before this video lol

Do you always go by yourself? I feel like as a woman who mostly meets men on the street who are willing to talk I would prefer a friend go with me but it’s not always easy finding somebody who is passionate about hitting the streets. Do you feel I need to change my mindset concerning going solo? I mean Paul nem went with partners. Idk.

This was beautiful. I have a mother, sister, brother in law, all JWs. It definitely can be difficult to talk to them about Jesus and the salvation that He sacrificed for us. They in turn reject me and refuse to engage..as you said. When we come across high minded, indoctrinated or just aggressive/ argumentative people, it is challenging to give them the Words of Jesus Christ. We must be humble and be more fearful of disobeying God rather than if people will reject us or ignore us. So often those that become argumentative or dismissive can be this way due to past hurt, feeling as if God abandoned them, atheism/ self knowledge and reliance, the God is dealing with them and internally they are fighting the Word/ rebelliousness. It can hurt and be discouraging but we all must pick up our crosses and follow Him. Thank you for a great video, continue to let the Lord use you for His glory.

These warning examples justify making sure that we do not become an evenly yoked with unbelievers and they also provide warning examples as to what can happen when one becomes very close with those who have different beliefs other than those that you hold as a witness Psalms 106:35, 36 they went mingling with the nations and took up learning their works. And they Serving their idols, and these came to be a snare to them"
Is the account shows what happens sometimes when people make people of the world close friends it really spells it out there quite clearly the danger of forming such relationships that does not mean that you have to keep yourself completely separate in terms of being cordial and accommodating when you're in their company but at the same time it also shows the danger of being too close to them I being allowed being in a position where you may be influenced by what they believe versus what the Bible teaches.
The next account further drives home the point of the necessity of maintaining a certain amount of distance that account is found at numbers 25:2, 3 "the woman came calling them people to the sacrifices of their gods and the people began to eat and to bow down to their gods. So is the attached itself to the Baal of Peor; and the anger of Jehovah began to blaze against Israel."
Once again we can see the danger of worldly associations and the influences that they can have on people in the extreme they can even lead one astray from worshiping the true God Jehovah. It's noted that people blame Jehovah's Witnesses behavior on what were taught as if it comes from man but it doesn't it comes from out of the Scriptures and the Scriptures are extensive a good deal of the passages in the Bible are warning examples for us to benefit from and the only way to benefit from these warning examples is to listen to them so while people find fault with Jehovah's Witnesses from being a little bit distant when it comes to forming outside relationships it is keeping in mind a godly principle. To further drive home the point one can even examine the topic of marriage it's not recommended to form marriage alliances with unbelievers those who are not dedicated servants of Jehovah this is warned against Israel was warned against this and it's time so to the very same principles apply today because the very same things can happen today. Deuteronomy shows us such a warning example and we can read where it's recorded at Deuteronomy 7:3, 4 "you must form no marriage alliance with them. Your daughter you must not give to his son, and his daughter you must not take for your son. For he will turn your son from following me, and they will certainly serve other gods: and Jehovah's anger will indeed blaze against you, and he will certainly annihilate you in a hurry." The very same things can happen today here in the 21st century. If a person becomes an evenly yoked with an unbeliever to the point of wanting to marry them and they have a different belief system what's going to happen? A witness of Jehovah knows is only one true God and that is Jehovah, and witness also knows that Jehovah is not a Trinity, Jehovah is a person not a 3 person, positive God. You see the danger there? To different beliefs about who and what God is, and only one of them can be true. Another passage illustrating this very same fact is found the judges the 3rd chapter: 5, 6, 8 "the sons of Israel dwelt in a among the Canaanites, and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perez-ites and the Hivites and the Jebusites and they proceeded to take their daughters as wise for themselves and their own daughters they gave to their sons and they took up serving their gods. At this Jehovah's anger blazed against Israel, so that he sold them into the hand of the cooler Cushan-rishathaim the King of Mesopotamia.. So this is indeed several warning examples of what can happen when some unwise of a form extremely close relationships with people that do not believe in Sir Jehovah.

I want to ask. My questions... 1. The reality that we can see right now is that in this universe there are trillions of trillions of planets and galaxies. If there are countless trillions of trillions of planets... maybe not only planet Earth has living creatures inhabiting it...? For example, if there are a trillion other planets that have living creatures like Earth and its inhabitants are various types of non-human creatures, would Jesus also be God on those one trillion inhabited planets...? 2. The real facts that we can know right now... the earth is approximately 10 million km, the sun is 1.3 million times as big as the earth, and there is a star called U Scuty that is tens of billions of times as big as the sun . If the celestial bodies were super massive in size like that, the number in the trillions would be uncountable. How big do you think God the Creator is, bro...? Maybe God is only as big as the man Jesus...? 3. According to scientists, the universe is more than 13 billion years old, whereas according to historians, Adam and Eve only existed about 7 thousand years ago. Based on this science... maybe the universe has been empty without any living creatures inhabiting it for more than 13 billion years...? So what was Jesus doing for 13 billion years before there were humans, Adam and Eve...? Please answer me!!!!?!!!

there is every reason for Jehovah witnesses to watch their association most people call themselves Christian but 9 times out of ten they are that in name only not so much so in actions what is permisable in some socalled Christian groups are not permissible in ours....fornication is common in many of the churches of Christendom, it is not permissible in JWs...…….
Ephesians 4:17 - 20 "this, therefore, I say and bear witness to in the Lord, that you no longer gone walking just as the nations also walk in the unprofitable this of their minds, while they are in darkness mentally, and alienated from the life that belongs to God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because the insensitivity of their hearts. Having come to be passed all moral sense, they gave themselves over to loose conduct to work uncleanness of every sort with greediness. But you did not learn the Christ to be so."
