FTL Federation/Last Stand Remix

- This is my remastered version of the FTL Federation remix. I combined themes from both the Federation Theme as well as some from the Last Stand, in addition to some of my own adaptations and accompanying parts. Constructive criticism is welcome but don't expect another variation of this song to be made. Shout out to Ben Prunty for being awesomesauce!

ANXIETY. Seriously, how many times have you got to the third and final stage and just had the realization that there is no way you can win, and you sit there helplessly while you watch all your hard work go up in flames?
Then ... the determination. Try again, grit your teeths, with your new knowledge you'll be able to overcome the unfair RNG. Almost every death makes you better, more prepared. More determined.
Then, the savage joy when you'll *overcome* the game, the boss, the next level - Hard + Capitain Edition + Advanced Edition.
Honestly the biggest problem for me is getting in a stalemate in the first stage. Sometimes I just can't get good enough weaponry and neither of us can do anything to the other.

- hull laser 2 and flak 2
- no cloaking
- mind control and drone
- somehow get through 1st stage of the missile spam galore
- get through stage 2 smoothly
- 3rd stage is a zoltan shield

- at about 1/3rd of hull

- start loosing crew to the missiles
- entire ship is on bloody fire with all survivors hunkered down in medbay
- end up defeating the flagship with 1 hullpoint left and and an oven of a ship with a 1/4th of crew alive

Jump away once their entire crew is onboard your ship, jump back once you've dealt with them.
Suddenly it's the easiest stage.

When you’re the most powerful ship in the rebel fleet but you die to a PP shaped ship which has garbage launchers as weapon.

FTL is one of those games I swear I'll never beat, but I'll always come back to. This remix legit made me cry from how beautiful it is. You did one of my favorite games supreme justice with this piece. Huge kudos and thanks for doing so.
pro tip: try boarding or fire beams combined with ions, so much scrap
It isn't too hard to beat, just follow the ten commandments of Advanced Hard. This will help you beat it on any difficulty. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=281644680
Once you get better at the game, you can start trying other strategies or certain challenges. But generally sticking with these rules will really help you beat it.

the war is finaly over.... the flagship has been destroyed. and the rebel fleet is beginning to weaken. a true federation victory. because of the one and only the legendary Kestrel Cruiser.
I've stopped playing so many games but the one I come back to each and every year is FTL.

How did I only get this now? This is fricking awesome! Been watching FTL since 2013 and later fell in love with its music during quarantine.
This is an immensely unique and distinctive remix on the final stand that really captures an identity of unity aginsted and despite of overwhelming odds.
Would love to see what other ideas you have in the ways of music.

I'm not sure, but starting 4:40 until the end there is like a metroid vibe in the music, something that reminds me Phendrana drifts from Metroid prime 1... am i crazy ?
No you are not crazy, I definitely did throw that in there... I thought that it fit very well with the music and I also love Metroid music. I was also wondering how long it would take for someone to notice that little theme in there :)
This little part is a really good match for the song, and the fact that it's hidden make it even more interesting ! I wonder if there are other references hidden in your remixes... i'll have to check that ;)
I also wonder how Metroid-FTL remixes would sound like, i'm really curious ! I hope someone will do that one day...

That's actually exactly what I was going for, with a bit of the bonus Federation Theme in there. I'll be uploading a new version tonight though, hopefully it keeps the same feel.
