Just another quick video showing how to change the rear brake pads and rotors on a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado work Truck with a single piston caliper. If you have rear drum brakes with the larger brake shoes and not this disc/drum combo, please see my other video:

Why would both back breaks hang after replacing. I've done many break jobs and the calipers aren't sticking.

Could be caused by a few things. I would take off the wheel and see if you can find out what's sticking, or if there's something that's not releasing. I would check the parking brake shoe adjustment as well. If the calipers had gotten really hot, they can get stuck. It's possible, but not likely to have them both get stuck at the same time, unless there's something that I am not thinking of.... You can also try opening the bleeder screw to see if it's the pressure that isn't releasing (and bleed the brakes afterwards), but most likely the caliper piston is just stuck and needs to be replaced / rebuilt. There's also a chance that the pads are too tight in the abutment clips and they are getting bound up that way. I hope you get it figured out without too much trouble. Best of luck to you.

For mine, the retaining clips made it impossible to put the pads in, so I put them in without the retaining clips.
