  • Local!zed is bringing more of what Minnesota needs to keep the mountain bike scene growing. Each year in the land of 10,000 lakes the choice between where to ride is becoming harder and harder each year. This is a great thing and I don't see this slowing down at any point. Local!ized brings a little bit of everything in one big package. Check out their website and stay up to date on social media for any updates on this RAD bike park!

Man, can’t wait to get to Localized, Runaway Train looks super fun, definitely a unique trail for the area!! Also, thanks for giving me that night riding itch, haven’t done that since last winter - so fun!!!

It's a blast! Nothing better than feeling like your riding at Mach 10 on the trail at night!

Local!zed looks sick, Pathfinder did a great job with the construction and I can't wait to ride Runaway Train. Always glad to see some Whitetail Ridge footage, that light setup looks like it was working great since you were going full send on the hardest jump line there Shake and Bake!

Yeah man, Pathfinder is top notch! Runaway Train is so cool to have such a unique trail like that here. The lights worked great and it was pretty scary hitting gap jumps at night!

runaway train is a cool trail but far from the coolest or most fun trail there. There are 6 DH runs now and he's currently building 2 more runs and Pathfinder will be back there next summer to build more

    Runaway train looks pretty cool!
Dont know how I feel about the time slot booking. I dont mind paying to ride, but a time limit if I'm having a great session seems annoying. Maybe its not that bad?

The trail work is impressive! The reservation system is a good idea, but yes can be annoying. The area that they have for parking is sparce so this may be one reason for it. I cannot speak for other reasons they have that system in place.

You don't actually have to pay to ride, it is a suggested donation. There are multiple reasons for this 1. it is a private trails system 2. he is just figuring it out at the moment. Things might change next year but 3. the city is the one that made them do this as many residents didn't even want the MTB park to be there and it barely passed. They can only allow riding when there is a "staff member" there aka Oli as he has no staff. Also they can only fit 22 cars in their parking space so they have to limit the number of cars at a given time as they are not allowed to have people park on the road or drive way. There is a parking lot about 2 miles away if you want to pedal in. They aren't actually checking or tracking your time, so if you do the morning session and don't leave I'm not sure they will kick you out.
