I rode this last weekend and used this video as a "pre-ride", so thanks for that! One thing I didn't expect was the climbs! They were total ass kickers vs what I'm used to, but I loved the trail system and just how raw it felt.

If you’re all the way up in Grand Marais, you might as well just come up to Thunder Bay, Ontario to check out our trails.

I had Pincushion on the list. Looks like a lot of thick forestry along the trails. Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.

Appreciate the footage of a lesser-known trail system, been meaning to get up there and finally ride Pincushion, ideally in the fall. Might need some trail signage so nobody takes that unmarked cliff drop! Weekend trip up to the north shore was a good idea to test out the camping setup before going out west.
That vehicular set up is slick. Cool you got to hit up Pincushion, definitely old school but also very scenic. Also good call on skipping the Back Eighty 😅 Dirt Candy, a trail building couple have recently moved up to Grand Marais so I’m hopeful they’ll add in some more modern trail/features. Great area for camping and hiking post-ride as well. Good stuff man.
I knew that the back 80 was probably a good choice to pass on LOL Yeah I have head of Dirt Candy before, didn't they do some work out at CAMBA? I think any modern additions would make this a killer system!
I've got a truck topper setup. I took the rear seat out and turned it into a kitchen, if it's raining. I just bought a pop up truck camper, I'm pretty stoked, going to Remodel it for inside mtb and my solar system this winter.

Did this last year but I made the mistake of letting too many of the state bird the mosquitoes into the vehicle. 😂 . Fukn miserable

A good trick is to leave a couple citronella candles out. NOT lighted. The smell is a deterrent to the skeetters
