I set up a compressor and noise gate in OBS to make my voice sound better, and couldn't get the audio into Streamyard. You're a lifesaver! THANKS!!!!

Thanks for watching! At one point I also used a web-based live streaming platform, Melon in my case. But after setting everything up in OBS, I kind of figured may as well stream with OBS directly. I haven't looked back.
@ The only reason we deal with Streamyard is their AMAZEBALLS featured comment feature. As far as I know, there's no practical way to replicate this in OBS. We can feature comments from Twitch, RUclips, and Facebook. It just overlays the bottom of the video. AND . . . It shows the commenters' avatar! Otherwise, we'd definitely just stream directly from OBS! You are awesome!
Thank you for the clear steps. The reason I wanted to use OBS to pass my audio to Zoom was so I could use the noise suppression filter in OBS which removes all the white noise in my room (PC fans, laptop fans). Now my audio sounds perfect in Zoom without any background hum! Thank you!!!!

I have been using voicemeeter to route audio to zoom and google meet. But this setup is much simpler. Now I can add whatever audio output to obs and it will send to zoom. Thank you so much for this.

This was SUPER helpful. I'm using OBS as my main stream platform but using the Virtual Camera to send the feed to TikTok Live Studio. I have some scenes that have an audio/music loop that I wanted to include and this makes it easy for me to change scenes in OBS and still have the same audio experience through TTLS.

That's a limitation with this method; you can only push the sound to one place. Try a plugin called Audio Monitor for more options!

I really was looking for this information but it doesn't seem to work on the setup I''m using to reduce the video sync lag. All my he audio is blocked when using the virtual cables. I'm using an audio mixer board to route Zoom audio, Mic and speaker, to and from the laptop using a USB interface card. Of course I don't understand why it gets blocked so I hope you will respond.

I have a vb audio cable going from OBS to Zoom but the output is now not working. When I check the cable, audio is going into the input but nothing on the output. This is the second time this has happened. The first, I uninstalled and reinstalled the cable and it worked but now so far this hasn’t worked this time.

Love the video. How do you get a smooth transition in Zoom? I have the move plugin and it works perfectly in OBS but on Zoom it just hard cuts to the next scene.
I used this to have OBS share gameplay and audio from my capture card into Discord. It allowed me to create a simpler setup and not have to use the full voicemeeter program.
OK so, I listen to audio separately with headphones that don't have a mic, but i use a mic to record audio as well. when I try to use a virtual cable I cannot hear myself in the headphones and the audio doesn't transfer from my mic to the virtual cable. Am I doing something wrong or what lol plz help

Hi Markus, I’m trying to do video reaction in OBS using my Canon M50 with Rode microphone attached. I set up the Audio in OBS by choosing ‘Digital Audio interface cam link’. When I try to speak there’s no Audio output, there’s no signal at all. If I choose the other option which is my Laptop Audio output it works, there’s signal output and I don’t want that because the quality is not good. Can you please tell me what’s wrong ?

This video is about getting your audio from OBS to Zoom, but your question doesn't seem to be about that. Connect the mic to your computer is what I would try.

@@AFCentral1 The canon M50 doesn't output audio over HDMI, which is why the camlink has no audio to work with when you select it as source. What you can do is make your mic communicate with the PC (either sending it through a sound interface or USB mixer or you'll have to buy a USB mic). And then once you have the audio into your computer you'll sync the video (coming through the camlink), and the audio (coming from your audio interface/mixer/usb mic), into OBS. You can program a delay so that they can be in sync, as the audio and video will enter your computer at different times, so one of them needs to be slowed down (the audio). I hope this helps
Very interesting but there is one problem in Zoom. I usually cannot capture enough volume when using the VAC and the sound is quite low. What shall I do to boost the volume on Zoom?

There's four places to set the mic gain. Make sure they're all up: Windows mic settings, OBS main mixer, audio monitor plugin if you use it, and Zoom mic settings.
Great video Markus - thank you! As far as audio quality, have you done an A/B test to compare this VAC/OBS approach to going "straight" into Zoom with the audio (assuming the desired audio originates from an external microphone). Thx!

I haven't tested it, but it's a great idea for a future video! I do appreciate the wide selection of filters in OBS. For example, I always use noise suppression and a compressor. The former is also in Zoom, the latter not.

My OBS Audio now outputs in Zoom, but I can not hear anything in my zoom. I have to join in my phone.

my install for M1 Ventura (v108) only has one device that pops up in menus.
You only need one virtual device for this solution.
Installed the VAC, works with the melon app, but i can"t hear the sound, the signal is ok...
