    Great video! Its so much more interesting to see people struggle than to see people who "get it". I have a few years of windsurfing experience but I've never owned a wing and never gone wing foiling. I just bought a wing and am going to get started on land with a mountain board but maybe this summer I'll spoil myself with a wing foil board!

    Hi, size of wing and foil to 350 lbs and soft winds? Thanks.

    • @kitesurfcollege
      @kitesurfcollege  Год назад

      Hi Luiz, are you over 150kg? A 150kg rider would need at least a 2400cm2 front foil wing, and a 7m2 hand wing, and even then they would need quite a lot of wind, around 15kn once in shape and trained, and about 18/19 knots when learning.

    I have these problems before I even get up on the foil. Which I suppose means maybe I don't have enough momentum and wing control skills....

      Thanks I'll try my best to relax, but I do take these tutorials very seriously - especially the beginner tutorials as those have saved many lives and thousands of injuries. If I'm not as clear and direct and straight as possible I could actually put people at risk, since kitesurf college and wing foil college have become the main resource to help people get passed the higher risk beginner stages of those sports. I even keep a database of injuries to help me work out the most likely risks and mitigate them.
