I put my sugar in before it pops and I have no problems it Glazer's the popcorn really good. My kettle is just a little bit bigger than yours. We both put about the same amount of popcorn in there and sugar. I do a lot of shows, couple of my shows there's more than one kettle corn popper, and I have the lines. I have four people in my booth helping me. One cashier and three people bagging. Sometimes I get so busy I don't have time to tie the bags. I give them the bag of popcorn and a twist Tie. I carry four different kinds of twist ties with me. Because when people walk by I know if it's my popcorn or somebody else's. If they have the same bags I do.
I pop all mine on site. The state and county that I live in it all has to be made on-site. I also raised my own popcorn, the rest of it I sell to Weaver. When I first started doing kettle corn and had to buy popcorn it was $9 a bag, where I live now it was selling for $31 a bag. That's why I grow my own. The price of oil skyrocketed. So did the salt I use a special sugar and salt I will use nothing else
