Not necessarily missed anything but the video only dipped its toe into the subject. There are many different layers to how magic works in _The Witcher._ First you have the element, then you have the branch, then the spell, for example, Water > Divination > Hydromancy. There's also a lot of cross over and replication of branches within different elements, for example healing magic comes under both water and fire (there are examples of both in the books). Its very complicated and I think if you wanted to do magic justice you'd have to do an entire video series on it, not just one video. Whether you want to do that, that's up to you.
@@saladinbobspeaking of, isn't there also a whole about the energy of magic being harmful to the body overtime? I think that was the reason for all the staff and magical focus, to substitute the channeling of that energy into something inanimate and less prone to magical decay
Hey i have to ask where did you get all this information? I have read the books but they are a little thin on the details at times. Is it from the games? It just seems a lotbof info to come from them. Thanks for the video
This is combined from all The Witcher games (witcher trilogy, gwent the witcher card game, rogue mage ect. + some information from the books). This video may be not 100% correct also, but most of this video is correct for sure
