30 minutes of edging with the trimmer - Satisfying!

- Often times my viewers tell me that I should just do my edging with the string trimmer. Here's a video that goes on for 30 minutes showing that it is an option, but here in Florida with these high St. Augustine edges, it's just easier to use a steel blade edger.

Aha, I have the EGO backpack blower. VERY happy with it. 2 years old and still running like new. Is the shaft a good length on the weedwacker?

Predictably, you lose the line from time to time. And have to move more slowly and concentrate more. Also, some grass has pretty tough runners and the string has a difficult time cutting through (in my own experience). I prefer the wheel/blade.

It's a tap feed.
How come you let out so much line at a time, I only let out about 6"
I just like it that way.
I only let out more line so that my trimmer cuts wider, especially in taller stuff.

Hey mike what kind of string you use?
Oh, I'm glad you asked. I'll be doing a video on this string but I just switched to twisted line from Grass Gator in the .105 size. Awesome stuff! Just like Echo Black Diamond but cheaper. That is what I'm using in all these clips, with just my Husqvarna 322L.

I assume that's your 525? What is that whinning noise ? Maybe its time to lube the gearbox.
No it's my 322L. I'm using new line that cuts like butter. And it's lubed up fine. Whenever you clamp a camera directly on to the shaft it sounds like that. It's a kind of amplification of normal gear noise. You can't hear it just standing in front of it.
