Being an indoor stadium, gives all the corps a chance to simulate Indy. However, never count out BD…they seem to always give more to the level when needed. I think they took Broken Arrow for granted. Love Bloo and PRs successes this year as I marched PR and my son is currently in Bloo. I first saw Bloos show in Canton and I knew then what the judges are saying now…a very complex show visually and musically..just need the guard to step up and stop the drops. Beloved PR always grabs my heart musically, and I’m just waiting for their visuals to clean up and knock that GE up a bit:) Thanks for being open to discussing our favorite activity of the summer!
The last time devils was out of top 2 during San Antonio was 2016, and was a really low scoring show for that point in general, with Bluecoats winning with an 87.063. I would love to see Bloo break some records Saturday!!
You were pretty close! Bluecoats are starting to leave the others in the dust, a 93 is actually insane. Bloo guard in 4th is rough, but they will still have no problem getting the gold.
so far just seems like the content and achievement roof is lower for the bluecoats than the other 3 ahead in the colorguard caption, they’re definitely good I think the other 3 this year are extremely great just gotta see how things change
Troopers have 3 full rehearsal days before San Antonio, and aren't doing any of the pre-San Antonio Texas shows. I bet they change their show a lot and/or clean up. Whether it results in a score jump remains to be seen since they'll have to overcome their timeslot. I still think they get 8th by the end of the season. As for Saturday, I have no idea where they'll end up.
I agree with almost everything that you said. I don't think that you can ever count BD out, but Bloo has the it show this year and they are performing the heck out of it. Boston's guard and percussion are top notch, but they can't match Bluecoats in GE. Crown sounds amazing, but their show design isn't on the level of the top 3. Welcome back Phantom!
As a bluecoats color guard fan, I think the guards performance at broken arrow was not so good compared to their past performances this season. In my opinion, if they have a better run at dci San Antonio, they have what it takes to place higher, perhaps 2nd or 3rd ( im not saying first because I have to admit that Boston crusaders guard is just THAT good) 😅
I think Boston excels at color guard not only because of their book but because of their drill placement. The guard is strategically placed on the field that enhances the writing from the choreographers. Not to mention THE TECHNIQUE 🔥🔥 I see BD getting 2nd in guard and Bluecoats getting 3rd. Crown getting 4th in guard.
Dude give me a break with this Blue Devils brass in 5th silliness. They're the only hornline that ever beats Crown and have the best overall brass track record of any corps in rhe world even WITH Crown's recent track record. Phantom will not beat that hornline. Period.

I do believe that crowns weaknesses were amplified by a very questionable run at broken arrow, so I believe that they can and will be much stronger.

I remember the Alamo Dome being so cold that in the tunnel, that when I retuned, I was playing something insane like 25 cents flat.
This happened to us at state last year it was so cold in the tunnel we had to blow warm air through our instruments the whole time
