Hey Paul, that Singer sewing machine base is definitely worth quite a bit to the right person. It's not something that you can really find anywhere, anymore. It makes me very happy that you didn't just toss it out. 🙂
Hi Paul. Never commented before but I saw that you had only opened the drawers down the sides of the Singer machine. There is also a drawer across the front which is about 20" wide and it is either on a rocker bar or is a simple pull out. Sometimes this gets forgotten as people don't know it is there so look in there for interesting items. Keep well and regards from the UK.
The struggle is real, as my dad would have said after fitting the fridge in, "got the Bastard!". Well done, Paul. In my experience, if you would like $50.00 for the singer, put $80.00 Ono, that way theycan bargain you down for it. Just a thought. Im sure someone will love to restore it. Rest up, Paul, your a good man.
HEY!!!!! Mr. Paul, I had a childhood flash back when you hollered wanna watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat...Rocky and Bullwinkle!!!!!! and the good morning, the two watchdogs and the wolves..... could not wait for Saturday morning, the only time cartoons were on except for Christmas. thanks for the chuckles. needed that. love peace and blessings
@@ScrapPalletMan My mom made fresh homemade biscuits (we didn't know what canned was) and made sugar syrup, big Ole hunk of homemade butter, and cartoons. Man, those were the days. Lol
Hey there Paul! Thanks for the great tag along today :) I feel like I was right there trying to help you push that frig in the back of the truck :) The Singer sewing machine was a good pick. My mom repurposed the base and made a cute little table out of her old one. Thanks for all that you do and for being such a great servant of Christ --- Blessings to you and your family.
I remember the christmas folger ad where the giy comes home from school and the little brother i believe wakes up and finds him and he says to him i know how to wake them up, the parents wake up to the smell of coffee and come downstairs and were so surprised. Ah the good old days. Wow paul , you got your workout today. Lots of blessings. Be safe, take care, and God bless.
I would grabbed the singer base too. I make them into a really cute drink bar station and put a stainless pan where the machine goes for ice- to make some extra money.
My husband is a mechanic. And a guy called him, last November. He said a friend of his recommended Bruce (my husband) to fix his heater in his truck. After all the normal checks to see why the heater wouldn't work, the answer was clear. Chipmunks had totally filled every hole and crevice with accords. Every vent, every hose, and even some under the seats. The owner of the truck, just used it on the farm, so it set for almost a year. The man ended up junking the old truck.
Hey, Paul. Some years ago I remember seeing at a flea market a number of Singer sewing machines bases that the seller had turned into tables. The iron base he had painted a shiny black but the cabinets were all replaced with beautifully made table tops. He explained to my mom that the cabinets were pretty much ruined but he had removed all the rust and old paint off of each base and had a variety of different wooden tops. Also the pedals on most worked pretty good as well. She bought one as a gift for my sister. Something to think about with that old Singer pedal base.
I'm feeling better today and up popped your video Lord is so good I thoroughly enjoy your area in which you live just beautiful Refrigerator day lol Bless heart and Ole Singer Sewing Machine Would have loved to have that Thanks for letting us tag along Have a blessed day Funny how the Lord puts his people right in your face when you need to be lifted up 🤓💖

Thank you for saving that sewing machine. The wood may be broken up but it can be rebuilt using the stand. Having the drawers is a bonus along with the machine.
Hi Paul on the discussion regarding rotator cuff surgery i had it and rehab is hard but 10 years later i am so thankful. Always do homework before surgery♡
Hello Paul, here in Argentina it is very fashionable to recycle the metal base of the singer and make a table with new wood, marble or glass and they are very nice and the beauty of the Old iron. I send you a big hug and blessings for you and your family from Buenos Aires Argentina take care of yourselves
Paul. your strength is really returning! We have lifted the Singer treadles before and they are not light, especially with machine head still inside. I haven't finished the video but I hope you save the machine for someone who wants the legs, the drawers and the head!
Hey Paul, as always I just love your videos. I think that the sewing machine is incredible. Obviously not to be used again unless someone wants to go into a lot of work, but if I could get it I would just clean it up and make it a part of the decor in my home. It's absolutely beautiful.
Paul, there are a lot of woodworkers that buy the bases to use for table bases. In fact saw one the other day where a guy made a dining room table using two of the bases and live edge wood for the top.
im so bummed i missed the sewing machine!! im a custom design seamstress and have been keeping my eyes out for a good ole singer machine, its a trophy for me. i want to breathe life back into one so badly!!!! we are only 15 min from you!! enjoy watching you and wish to one day run into you!!
That was an awesome score today. I have one of those singers it was my grandma. You should be able to get pretty good for it. The cabinet needs a little work. Thanks for sharing and taking us along. Take care of you. 🥰

I got some bad news yesterday I’ve been having trouble breathing when it’s hot or if I’m climbing up a hill stuff like that. So my sister works at a place called Tn Heart. She works for my heart dr and they set me up to have a heart catheter done yesterday. I get back to my room and my wife looks at me and says that I have two more blockages one is 85% blocked the other one is 100% blocked. This coming Friday I’m going to Knoxville Tn to make my appointment for open heart surgery soon. I’m at 9:19 I’ll finish watching tomorrow GOD BLESS
Greetings Paul. Amazing treasures. To God be the glory always. Please be careful don't get hurt or injured. Please continue being yourself, inspirational, humble and kind always. Your words of wisdom are awesome and priceless. God bless your family always. Family friendly channel
You’re always a breath of fresh air, Paul... I needed one! I’m happy when your truck is filled and you have a nice payday. When I lost my house, there was a Singer treadle machine that was once my grandmother’s I unfortunately had to leave behind. 💔 Most probably ended in a landfill, so my heart was full when you rescued one. ❤️ I could sit and watch the geese forever. You are so blessed to have such a flock...and of course the beautiful Olivia too. Be well and stay safe! God Bless You!
Hi Nancy. I'm sad to hear that you lost your sewing machine. I think I was 36 when I lost all my belongings. All of my life's belongings. It was sad, very sad. The lesson I learned was to put more of my efforts into people and relationships
I lost everything I owned, Paul, but my journey being homeless was a positive one, strange as it sounds. Losing everything taught me to really cut down on what I don’t need and appreciate what I have!
I think you’re right, Paul, it was the most incredible journey of my life. Reminds me of the saying, “God never gives you more than you can handle.” Also, “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” I saw miracles with my own eyes during that time. Makes me shudder with awe just thinking about it. I handed everything over to Him and He didn’t disappoint. All the glory to Him who sees me through!
Hey brother Paul awesome video have a great bless day and night you and your family be safe and healthy and healed you and your family everyday your brother in christ Jesus
Paul, you passed on a bunch of stainless steel. That Bunn Coffee maker is mostly stainless. When I go "treasure hunting" I look for Stuff to scrap, things to fix and resell, and things that I can use. That was a nice haul. Keep scrapping!!!!
Hi and good morning here on the Vancouver island of Canada. Great video Paul keep up the great work. Many blessings to you and your family and friends.
Glad you saved the old SINGER sewing machine & table - these can be restored quite easily but they also make nice writing desks. I recently noticed this very item on a list of "If you have one of these you could be in the money" articles online.
Thank you for rescuing the singer sewing machine. Someone stole mine when we moved to Iowa. It was my grandmothers and I treasured it. My heart was broken, and I still cry when I think of it. I only hope whoever stole it wanted it because they saw it was so beautiful and a part of history. That hope keeps me from being bitter about it and filling me with hate. God please let someone who will love and restore that machine that you rescued. You listen to God so I know it will.
Hi Paul - there sure are some beautiful houses in your area. Thanks for the great videos by the way. I love it when I see a new upload. If it's a long one, I usually watch it in bits over the course of a day, when I sit down for a coffee or such. Have a great day! 🌼🌼🌺🌺
Just checking to see how you are doing hope everything is well with you and your family I have missed seeing you this week on RUclips hope you are well god bless you in everything you do

Paul , if you remove top from sewing machine and fit granite / marble or nice wood top , you will have a nice table, iron work sprayed black. As Always Really enjoy all you create, Greeting from Paul in Dublin, Ireland.
I remember seeing a treadle at my grandmothers and of course she sewed her own clothes as well as for the rest of her family. With the winter threat of downed power lines/power outages, could be people who sew and off grid-ders esp will be hunting for these. It will be interesting to see what it goes for
Hey Paul, "double handling" stuff you collect hurts the bottom line! You seem to make the right choices for practical reasons. Go easy and stay safe out there on the streets.
Hi Paul I saw an really old fuel can at your last pick please tell us you picked it up, that with a good clean will sell for a few bucks to a collector. Doing a good job saving the planet. 😜. 🏴. 🇬🇧
Everything you show wood, I start drooling. Yes sound stupid, but I make plaks out of wood and give them to people. I had this awsome friend named Rudy. I made a plak for him. He loved his red dodge pick up. So I painted him a red dodge pick up with his mobil home space on the side of the truck. He loved it. I don't sell my work even though I have to buy everything. God gave me a gift and I share it with others.
WOW!!!!!! I am in absolute love with the fence and gate you picked up in the beginning of this video!!!!! I sure do wish I could afford to go to where you're located to buy it. I haven't seen a disability check in MONTHS, and yes, I do have a lawyer working on that. I could make a set of side rails for your truck, like Mike The Scavenger has on his truck, out of some 1x6 or 2x6 (much stronger) but I can't even afford to buy the lumber. Because I enjoy your videos so much, I wouldn't even charge you anything for my time to build it. I would LOVE to get that Singer sewing machine from you as well.
Hey wizard I hope you get that disability squared away soon and you get paid. In the beginning of the video it wasn't a gate or fence, it was a futon cut in half.
Those Bunn coffee makers hold about 3 pots of water in a heated reservoir. It overflows into the basket of coffee grounds when you add more water. They are pricey, too!
Dear Brother Paul , I'm using your last video to reach you. Night before last I ended up in the hospital. My left arm went numb, and I was crazy dizzy. After many test, they Said it was my sugar levels was in the 500's. I had lost my insurance from my job, because of the pain in my back and my hip. I didn't think that I qualified for Medicaid, so I put off applying for it. I finally applied, and I got it. I did without my diabetic Insulin for 4 months. And the results almost killed me. I hope you don't mind me telling this on your channel, but there may be someone out there that is putting off seeking help like I did. Love ya Brother. Stay safe. Love your videos!!!
I am so glad you are getting care. And I agree if anyone is reading this postponing care, please seek Medicaid or some means of getting medical treatment
Paul you see wood for a burn barrel there and I see wood to make toys. I sale some of what I make at a farmers market on Wednesdays but I also give a lot away to families that are less fortunate and can’t afford to buy gifts for their kids at Christmas and on their birthdays.
The wooden case on the Singer holder is.. rough. Someone may want the base and alas may not. Always makes me sad when I see one scrapped though, when I think of how long it's been around and how much it was valued when new.
If you can't sell the sewing machine, give it to a sewing machine repairman. It is better than it ending up in the recycle. Old cast iron sewing machines are a piece of history. I have 2 so far and love them. Cabinet top is shot. A woodworker could make a base out of the inner part of the cabinet.
Amazing how He Paul includes the viewer in his conversation just like 👍 we are personally there! Those prayers are the icing on the CAKE 🎂...LET'S US KNOW HE'S NOT PERFECT, BUT WE ARE ADOPTED....REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB!!!!
Oh hey a KCS engine! Kansas City Southern is huge here, all of the local area train stations here in Louisiana were owned and operated by Kansas City Southern. That red and yellow color scheme is unmistakable
Paul! Are you ok? My husband and I check every day to see if you've posted a new video. We are concerned that something happened to you. Please let us and your following, know what's up. Everyone loves you and cares. We are praying that God continues to guide and direct you and keeps you safe. ❤
To the right buyers the stand of a singer alone is worth $100 or more. That good old rusty gold lol. People use them for lawn art make tables etc. Nice score.
Ha ha - I feel like I've got a lot to say with this one. I think in the right hands that Singer sewing machine could be brought back to its former glory. Also, I think you missed cutting the cord off that horrible old fridge, lol.
To quote Commonwealth Picker. "If in doubt. Part it out. Those remaining drawers would sell for at least $10 each. The sewing machine is not so often in it, so probably would go for $20 or more. The wrought iron legs are very popular to repurpose into some new work of art, so $15-$20. And...if there are any vintage sewing notions, lot them up for another $10-$15.
Do you know that rags are how we came to be known as Scrappers ? In the early stages of the industrial revolution , fabric was in short supply & in demand. So enterprising individuals would seek & save fabric Scraps to sell them for profit to industry. Thus were called, Scrappers. Ty for taking us along
Paul, I noticed you held the black gate-looking thing up to see if it would be a good side guard on the truck and you said, "almost". My brother is a welder by trade. He would say to weld a couple pieces onto the bottom of the would-be guard, to fit into the rectangle holes already existing on the truck bed and use some kind of clamps to brace them onto the top of the frame sitting on the bed of your truck. It's an idea (for the next time you cross paths with a similar scrap item) offered in the name of recycling and the health of this earth God created for us. ( : I've got a lot of ideas, so if you tire of this old gal's tips, please let me know and I'll consider it. (giggle) New sub here, brother. You are a Good Steward.
Those are great ideas. I lack the welding skills and for some crazy reason, I don't ask for help very often. So things like getting those sides welded go undone
Hi Trasie. Help me figure this out. Overnight where? I'm not sure what you're talking about. If you're talking about my backyard, I can leave stuff there indefinitely. I'm assuming stuff means scrap. Sorry there's too many pronouns and not enough nouns for me to know what you're referencing. Maybe you're talking about the shoe boxes. I left them out and they got rained on.
@@ScrapPalletMan hi Paul, earlier in a Video you said you cannot go out in the morning with the truck half full from the evening before (I’ve just binged watched all the last 4 videos) and then today you left last nights stuff in there? Forgive my ADD but I pick up on silly stuff and forget the actual subject! I’m terrible with films too I notice “continuity” and then people get mad at me telling them. I don’t have a grasp of English so using written words I don’t work on me either. Sorry if I offended you that was not my intention! God forbid! I just get confused with stuff if it’s different. @@trasieinkersole491 You are totally right. I don't like leaving in the morning with anything in the back of my truck. But every once in a while, I get lazy and don't unload.
The place you got the sewing machine looks like they were flooded .I think it will be only good for the base to refinish into a table. It looks like you had a pretty good scrap day. Be very careful with the shoulder. Have an awesome week. Keep Safe❤Keep Well ❤

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙂☮️
After watching him every evening he kinda feels like family. I wish I knew why he's not posting any videos. Hope he's okay.
Hi y'all :-) I have a video uploading right now :-) It should be live within a couple hours. It matters how long RUclips takes to do its checks
Hi Paul I saw an really old fuel can at your last pick please tell us you picked it up, that with a good clean will sell for a few bucks to a collector. Doing a good job saving the planet. 😜. 🏴. 🇬🇧
I meant to grab it. But I didn't
@@ScrapPalletMan AAHHHH I thought it was a gate. I hope it gets squared away soon too, I have all sorts of nastiness coming next week if it doesn't.
that be a great idea have the black railings attached to each side of the truck.
Best line ever, " God, thank you for recycling me." Amen! (A great quote for your shirts!)
Amen
Those Bunn coffee makers hold about 3 pots of water in a heated reservoir. It overflows into the basket of coffee grounds when you add more water. They are pricey, too!
I have to let you know as I was nodding off I grabbed your rope to help you and it woke me up 😆 in my easy chair love the show God bless 🙌 ✨️
Another adventure, another day. Thanks Paul...
We need to pray that people all over the world to stand up for truth!🙏
The "Craw" was making a scrap chime!! Your scrap route has people who really care about you, Paul. Let the shoulder rest a while!!
Paul you see wood for a burn barrel there and I see wood to make toys. I sale some of what I make at a farmers market on Wednesdays but I also give a lot away to families that are less fortunate and can’t afford to buy gifts for their kids at Christmas and on their birthdays.
I am grateful for artistic people like you that have talent to make things
The wooden case on the Singer holder is.. rough. Someone may want the base and alas may not. Always makes me sad when I see one scrapped though, when I think of how long it's been around and how much it was valued when new.
Paul you're a great influence on me keep praying love you like a brother from the same heavenly Father
Thank you Paul...for your vlogs..Have a blessed day.
Amen Amen
Oh hey a KCS engine! Kansas City Southern is huge here, all of the local area train stations here in Louisiana were owned and operated by Kansas City Southern. That red and yellow color scheme is unmistakable
😃
Paul! Are you ok? My husband and I check every day to see if you've posted a new video. We are concerned that something happened to you. Please let us and your following, know what's up. Everyone loves you and cares. We are praying that God continues to guide and direct you and keeps you safe. ❤
Hi Lori. Hopefully you can see the comment section and that I reply to everyone. Should have a new video Monday.
G'day Paul 👍
I once restored a Singer exactly like that for my sister.
Hope it sells quick for you 👍🇦🇺👍
Hey hey Rob. Always awesome to hear from you
To the right buyers the stand of a singer alone is worth $100 or more. That good old rusty gold lol. People use them for lawn art make tables etc. Nice score.
Hi Paul. Great video as always. I really enjoy your videos.😊
Hi Scrap& pallet amazing to see yu again
Forget the cabinet, except the drawers, the metal parts will help others restore their machine!
Awesome adventure as usual stay safe and well 🙏
so proud of you fighting the need for an empty truck
I love to watch the adult geese train the new ones for flight
And crash landings
Love the old sewing machine!
My grandma in Missouri used a Singer treadle machine just like that into the early 1970s.
Rag & Bone Man
Oh!!! I would love to buy or have that antique sewing machine/table....
You said you couldn’t leave stuff overnight! Then leave it overnight! You make me laugh. 😂😂😂
Iyswim. 🤷♀️
Keep Safe❤Keep Well ❤
Agree, the singer is a table. The drawers if they escaped a flood can be made into cute things, stuff holders. But it looks pretty tough.
