That Is A LOT Of Metal & Wire In The Dumpster !!! Will It All Fit?

- The new open top delivers big! I need my truck but the Jeep will have to do.
Answers to frequent questions:
- My scrap yards do not pay more, or distinguish between, clean iron/steel and “dirty” metal. It all goes in the same pile and pays the same price. Only non-ferrous metals pay more
- I have no intention of getting a trailer any time soon
- I dumpster dive and scrap mostly as a hobby, but the pay sure helps
- My early vids are taken with my cell phone but eventually I use a GoPro 9. This explains the struggle of 1 handed sorting and grabbing in dumpsters
- I only micro-scrap to the point where I stop enjoying it. If I don’t like separating or taking something apart, I will scrap it as-is. I do micro-scrap quite a bit though
I think all the viewers would love to see more of the actual weighing in process and recycling of it all. Seeing how much weight you have of each material and what you get for it etc.
I would like to get more into that as well. As of now, July and beyond look to be months I will have more time to dedicate to scrapping. I will also have my truck back, so that will help overall as well.
All I can say is thank god you have your Jeep that you use for scrapping. Don't worry too much about other people's ideas, you have to manage what is best for YOU.
This came up in my feed while watching Mike the scavenger I'm so glad it did
I watch mike as well
Mike is person..but he's hasling too much
Do what you think is best for you. Every life situation is different, for me. Happiness, most of the time, can't be measured by what others think or opinion about it. Me, i love watching scrappers, they ask me why, i just answered, i am happy watching them. And that's that.
I actually said "WOW!" out loud when you turned that box over full of wire!! Great score man!
Me, too.
Me too, I've lost count of how many times I've said it now too😄
You’re talking is what makes it work Mike
7:44 Longer the video the better for me. Thanks for taking me along!
You seriously need to hook up a trailer to your Jeep with scores like that. Wow!👍✌
You dug it out. Do what you want to do or need to do with what you find. You're doing a great job and I enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. God bless you.
Good job.
Ah just take the dumpster home, clean out what you want, then return it . 😆
That's what you call a good day
The video isn't boring and there is nothing wrong with one stop shopping. Thanks for the videos
love it when people hit the mother load, always think buy yourself something.. put towards a trailer.
Man! Major score out of one big dumpster!👍
Awesome score!! My jaw dropped when I saw all that stuff 😃 I can't believe you got all of that in your Jeep, so you're doing good! Great video, I don't mind the length as I actually like longer vids. Can't wait to see what's in the opentop tomorrow!! 😁
As I only just found you, I'm working my way backwards through your videos, I have to say, the goodies in this dumpster blew me away, I've lost count of the amount of times I've said wow!!!
Your channel popped up on my screen a couple of days ago, now I'm binge watching all your episodes.
Dude you don’t carry a pocket knife? Might be a good idea! Great video 👍🏼
great score!! it's great to see so much being recycled instead of dumped.
What an amazing score!
Nice haul!
You are one thorough scavenger, well done for saving all of that from land fill even if you recycle instead of reselling you and the earth are benefiting 🇬🇧👍
Man, those Chief and Middle Atlantic parts are worth so, so, so much more than scrap. They sell fast on Ebay too. Those adjustable extension columns alone are worth over $200 each.
Very nice video brother.i like your video awesome.
If you keep a hacksaw with you, you can cut through the cardboard tube easily and retrieve the material.
Use speaker magnets for those little nuts and bolts. It will help you reach some places from the little ones.
I like the little replays u do.
Amazing find! I am so happy for you!
Nice haul. It's your channel, your choice. Noone should really care as long as the metal doesn't end up in the landfill. I watch a few other scrapping channels. I think, as I watch, thank God someone is doing something with it. We only have so much land.
New viewer and subscriber here. Excellent video. Pure enjoyment for me from beginning to end.. keep making videos.. thank you!
Hello from a new subscriber in Sydney, Australia. I'm impressed with your work.
Hello from North Carolina U.S.A
Thanks for the sub!
Excellent load, you did good deciding what to take and what to leave. Happy days
I love this video! What a wonderful find!!
So as a newer sub, I've been watching some of your older videos (mostly the ones after you got the head mount). I actually prefer the longer videos. I like to watch them as I sit and crochet. Something about your almost frantic but orderly scrap hunting is calming and very enjoyable to watch. And I like the detailed recaps at the end. And the cats. Nice!
Thank you for the sub and the comment!
Ohh boy..such a huge scraps there..so much money for ur effort..keep safe
Awesome thanks for the good videos 😊
Well. You got the dumpster all nice and organized for them. While you only have the Jeep, get the value first, and the not so valuable last. They'll never suspect someone was in there. Don't forget to leave a note for them not to cover anything else you want to get. 😁
You might want to keep a small hatchet to get in to the cardboard tubes great video
For all that pipe you should do like Bert does at scrap farm a cordless Sawzall and cut em up to fit
Great score!
Hi. Talk all the time. We enjoy it, and most of us do the same. Long video🤔, I think 2 and 3 hour videos would be great. Then we could actually sit down and relax and enjoy your videos. Thank you. ☺☺☺😇😇😇❤💕💕
Time for a storage unit!
Greetings. Great treasures.
Lol, you could build a trailer with all that metal and hardware!!!
Are you doing okay? I’ve missed you and a little bit worried. Just thinking about one of my favorite scrappers! Be safe!!
You did great.
Interesting video so you are very hard worker
Take what you can where you can, is that not what old Mike the Scavenger says? :) that dumpster had sooo much stuff in it:)
Quite the score. Im new to your vlog. Great work.
At least you get a dollar a pound (thereabouts) for all that wire, if you remove the metal ends. Great video, I used to scavenge stuff from a small local landfill in the 1970ees.
Take no notice of what people say on what to do. just do what is best for you, and if they don't like it!!! they can either shut up or not watch your great video, simples😎😎
Well hello from South Africa 🇿🇦 😀
Man! What a score! I wish I was close by, I'd be the first to offer my truck to help ya. Without being critical or judgmental, I would think that one of the basic tools in a vehicle that you can live out of would be some sort of cutting instrument or a flathead screwdriver😳. Love the videos and your passion for doing em. Keep em coming brutha! But Capt Hook would be proud!
A fast nickel is better than a slow dime.
If ur selling on ebay…if u have had any return requests for any reason…they shadow ban ur items even though they say they don’t…and it seems like after so many sales it suddenly flatlines for even views let alone sales? Or can’t seem to make more then u did the previous months? It’s to the point that people who think they sell on ebay and work for themselves…that’s just an illusion…u work for ebay and they’re not letting ur sales go higher for some reason…
Also, keep the items up cuz the shortages are all over…there’s hvac guys saying they can’t get certain items now …so a lot more people are looking to ebay and other sites to try finding supplies they need
Hope you get your truck back soon. Tough decisions to make with limited space. There will always be haters just be you!!
Wait until you get home and and have the tools to take those tubes apart to get the metal out.
This is sad watching the massive wastefulness of our culture but I admire your energy and drive to do what you do. Stay healthy and be careful
So much good material gone to waste. At least your making it go towards a pay check and keeping it out of the land fill. I need to come over and help out and days like that one. I'll bring my flat bed truck. :)
😊 24:43 Keep talking it makes these videos great. Thanks
awesome finds ☝.wish I could find lots of metal and cable here in the uk every dumpster and big open roller bins are mainly on the yards of factory's witch have a 12 ft steel fence around the factory grounds stopping scrappers looking and getting any metal or cable.sucks big time .you get fined in America. over in the UK you don't. so stupid the laws .great vid. Keep on finding treasures buddy 👍
The only negative thing I can say is I wish I had found the container before I did the old three quarter ton truck of mine would have loaded all that in one load
With the rope you could have tied up metal on top of the Jeep rack
HI great great haul and scores from that dumpster a lot of that stuff looked brand new never ever opened or touched very very wasteful going to the landfill it should @ least go to a recycling center most of it looked like it could be recycled rather then going in to a landfill .
Great job hope your truck gets fixed soon...I got the hook up with a open top from sub of electric co... Man just took a load to scrap yesterday. 1500.00..its about every 2 months.. try to find you something like that..it's a lot of work for me but love those paydays..good luck
Very nice. Great load and repeat business.
I am trying to keep my operation small so I can step away from it whenever I want. As a hobby I would not enjoy it if it was bigger than it is. I am behind on vids and what I found last week has me working more than I want to haha.
Man, I hope you can get your truck back soon. If not, maybe rent a truck like at Lowe’s or Home Depot for the day and go over and fill it up
Strip the wire and get good copper prices it can pay very well.
Hit the end of the cardboard tube on the edge of the dumpter.
I would be in my glory with all that wire! I strip it for relaxation, and that would keep me happy for a while!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, it never ceases to amaze me how wasteful people/companies are!!! They were going to pitch all of this for free plus whatever the rolloff dumpster cost!!! That's just sad!!! For a lot of people the amount that you got out could be life changing!!!
They get a right off, on their taxes, and this should be stopped. And a lot of these stories they could donate, the food. I guess they would rather see the people digging in the dumps.
I like it when scrappers talk makes earier to watch .dont stop but get a trailer too and tool kit 😊
Resale is good if its fast. Scrap value pays as well if its slow. $ is as $ dose, so cash in witch ever way works💣💥🇦🇺
Hi Joel I was wondering what city are u based in . I'm watching from the UK. In a score like this I attack the wire first. The scrap value of wire is good.
I am in the Greensboro/ Winston-Salem area of North Carolina.
The scrap value of wire is really good right now and like when I see it in a dumpster for sure!
I for one don't mind long videos or the sighing because that dumpster is big and it's goodies are heavy.
bring a trailer next time if you find that much stuff.
Very nıce
man u need a van or a big pickup!
Holy moly look at all that free cash you got today way to go Joel. I just found your channel and subscribed what state are you in?
Great job and enjoyed video.
Only 2 things annoy me; people who throw EVERYTHING in the shred.
And too many ads!
can u save me a few odd looking light bulbs in your travels
You guys worry too much about what other people think. Remember, opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one but that doesnt mean anything good is going to come out of it. Just do you. Bugger the rest.😁🇦🇺
So what is your eBay site. I’ll look at it and see what you have for sale.
Bro you just gotta stay focused at the task at hand, you can not leave a dumpster loaded with good stuff, that's taking food from your fridge, you can fit alot in that jeep
im surprised companys in the us dont have scrap containers that their local scrapyard sends out, here we got plenty of companys in the netherlands that get a small pallet box from the recycler, once needed it gets emptied, they get paid for the scraps, and its all recycled, all i see is in usa is just chuck it in the dumpster, no matter how little it brings, or how much they do not seem to care, here i had a job that did not give a fuck but i did, would bring in 5bucks of metal a month easy, and that was just scraps from pallets, like we used no metal at all and i still made good buck
We do have that here, but either the company is unfamiliar with the option, or don’t want to deal with separating the metal (probably mostly the later).
I do see recycling containers on my route and around town, but not too often.
@@intotheunknown7224 ah, you would expect they would just place the recycling next to the dumpster for trash, but enclose it and put a camera on or whatever, since theyre gonna walk there any way
Always wire first
good haul.and yes only if it's fun other wise why do it..//////
u need mike the scavenger in there it ya
Get a trailer for the stuff
wouldn't it be better if you just load the long boxes on the top of the jeep and just open it when you get home?
Sometimes, but then I need to break them down and try to dispose of them all. I already fill our trash and recycling every week haha
More cash in the Trash$$$$
Looks like you need a big pick up...?
Hey don"t work hard , work smart
It should be really cheep for where you are getting it from
Guzelll brawoo
where is your truck
How much you win
What kind of business is this that has soo much of this stuff??????
Heloo
What a greedy mooch
WHO EVER THAT DUMPSTER belongs too is a Pro at waste and over purchased items to pad the bill what shame, you gain. they should be out business soon.
