    I think it'd be easier to just use values such as 1x10^99 and 0 for B and C respectively.

    Thank you very much, sir. I've been wondering, that isn't the standard deviation that we need to input is (1.2) ^1/2? Since 1.2 is the variance not the standard variation.

    can you please tell me what the Normal PD function does?

    • @tdp2612
      @tdp2612 5 лет назад +1

      PD gives the chance of that exact value. I think it means Precise (D), while CD is cumulative or combined (D)

    Any idea how to enter this question. “ on investigating The labour efficiency an organisation is found that there is typically a favourable mean of $65000 and a standard deviation of $5000.
    What is the probability that the variance is less than $45000?”

    Why do 6 s.d above mean? Isnt it supposed to be 3 s.d?

    • @ExamSolutions_Maths
      @ExamSolutions_Maths  5 лет назад +1

      You can use 3 s.d. or more. Try it and your answer will not change. I chose the value as I found it easier just to be sure of an extreme value as my upper or lower bound.

    • @adxm2777
      @adxm2777 5 лет назад +2

      @@ExamSolutions_Maths oh okay that makes sense. Will 3 s.d be enough though seeing as it only covers 97% of the data? Thank you for your help
