i feel like Im not doing enough to thank you. Your channel has HONESTLY helped me stop panicking regarding maths. Thank you! I WILL NEVER SKIP YOUR ADS!
for the second example why did we take 6 standard deviations above the mean?..any mathematical reasons?....thanks as usual.this going to help in my upcoming AS exams
Thank you very much, sir. I've been wondering, that isn't the standard deviation that we need to input is (1.2) ^1/2? Since 1.2 is the variance not the standard variation.
Any idea how to enter this question. “ on investigating The labour efficiency an organisation is found that there is typically a favourable mean of $65000 and a standard deviation of $5000. What is the probability that the variance is less than $45000?”
You can use 3 s.d. or more. Try it and your answer will not change. I chose the value as I found it easier just to be sure of an extreme value as my upper or lower bound.
I always watch all your ads on your vidoes without skipping, its the least i can do :)

I think it'd be easier to just use values such as 1x10^99 and 0 for B and C respectively.
Great Job and great explanations . Thank You
hello, could you please help me find the normal cd function on fx 991es plus? Would be very grateful.

I do the same steps, but I have different propability, should I change something before from shift mode ? My calculator casio 115 plus
How do I calculate p when I have chi-square??
my classwiz is giving me very different values using same function and values ?

just use any really large number or really small number
thx u
how do we use the normal pd function ?
We don’t, it’s useless

1.2 is the standard deviation, 1.2^2 is the variance.
@@ExamSolutions_Maths Thank you very much for clearing my doubts, sir.
can you please tell me what the Normal PD function does?
PD gives the chance of that exact value. I think it means Precise (D), while CD is cumulative or combined (D)

What calculator is this? My classwiz fx-83GTX doesn't have this function and I can't find anywhere online which one does??
you need an fx 991ex to do something like this or better, the 83 gtx doesnt have as many functions
@@icontrolthespice Thanks! just bought the fx 991ex
@@HannahMeadows no problem
is it ok to use a calculator in exam and not show workings? My teacher didnt show us this.
dont we always have to show how we would translate X into Z and then use the given probability table to find it?
@M43K year 1 for me
Why do 6 s.d above mean? Isnt it supposed to be 3 s.d?
You can use 3 s.d. or more. Try it and your answer will not change. I chose the value as I found it easier just to be sure of an extreme value as my upper or lower bound.
@@ExamSolutions_Maths oh okay that makes sense. Will 3 s.d be enough though seeing as it only covers 97% of the data? Thank you for your help
