As a teacher myself, I cannot THANK YOU enough for breaking this down and actually explaining it 🙏 I do not teach math, and never took stats, but I've suddenly found myself in a master's class asking me to do descriptive statistics for the first time ever, and all these "tutorials" out there are made for people who understand stats already... which does not help me at all. You are my HERO. Thank you for saving my sanity (and more importantly, my grade in this class).
IM SCRREAAAMIIING I CANT BELIEVE I JUST UNDERSTOOD THIS I HAVE BEEN DEPRESSED ABOUT NOT GETTING WHEN TO TAKE MINUES ONE AND HOW TO DECIDE IF X IS LESS OR MORE. OMG YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER.
I CANNOT express how much I appreciate the way you taught the topic. As someone who really learns from example, I really LOVE this video and I can't thank you enough.
I love that quote "You have big dreams, don't let a class get in the way" that's what it's feeling like with this Statistics course but you helped me learn where my professor couldn't, thank you!
Taking the trouble to show the changes from the unstandardised normal distribution to the standardised normal distribution in each example was a big deal. The explanations couldn't get any better than these examples.
Omg, you can’t even imagine how much your videos have helped me!! I have finals in statistics in about a week and I didn’t even know integrals! I am at uni know and it wasn’t at my books at high school and my professor made SO hard to understand EVERYTHING. Imagine that at uniform distribution he explained μ, σ and 1/a-b with integrals! I was depressed that I didn’t understand ANYTHING. You have my sincere gratitude, you’ve been a great help. Thank you so very much!!!
I am preparing for my FRM exam and was struggling so hard to learn the distribution concept, especially the normal distribution one and after watching this video, this concept is now crystal clear to me and I feel very confident in this topic. thanks a lot, Sir you are truly the best teacher I have ever seen in my entire life and also once again thank you for putting so much effort into making this video for us(students).
Understood absolutely nothing when my professor tried to explain this in the lecture, but your explanation made everything very clear and easy to understand, despite also being much faster, thank you!
Hello, I am from India, and i was searching for a video, which put that concept of normal distribution in a very lucid manner. And then I luckily came across this one. Many many thanks to the teacher for making me savvy the concept, which i earlier found a little bit confusing.
Can't thank you enough, my stats class is my "final boss" before I graduate and your videos are immensely helping me get through it. It doesn't look like you still make videos, but on the off chance you see this, thank you so much and I hope everything is going amazingly in your life.
Hi, thank you so much for your kind words! I've been finding it difficult to continuously post, but I just posted one today! Anyway, I'm so glad I was able to help you. Thank you for sharing your story! :)
Bro, you saved me from failure! I have an exam tomorrow on probability and statistics, and this was the only topic I'd been struggling with. You made it look so easy. Hats off to you!
Thank you very much for the informative video. In class, I hear and understand the examples my professors go over, but it never just solidifies. This is a perfect demonstration showing all cases of Norm. Dist. Thank you!
I found your video searching to understand Normal Distribution. I got lucky because your tutoring is great. In less than 10 minutes, you made everything clear in simple-simple way! You achieved what pages and pages of math books failed to explain. (The same text in Greek: Βρήκα το video σας ψάχνοντας να καταλάβω την Κανονική Κατανομή.
Why is it at 7:30 that the column is 0.00, when the value is -1.5? Is that because the Y columns don't go below zero, so negative numbers will always be 0,0? Or is it because it is .5, which has a .50 decimal? EDIT* figured it out, it's because of the former explanation I initially wrote, .50 has a 0 in the second digit of the right side of the decimal, so that's why it reads as a 0.00 on the Z-chart. Great video, normal distribution was such an easy concept to understand when explained logically like this!!
Thank you very I am watching this video as my first lesson on Normal distribution before exams and I understand it in one explanation... Thank God for giving you the talent.
This video came in clutch. I had no idea how to do any of this, and I got a 100 on my stats assignment thanks to this video. I can't thank you guys enough!
This is absolutely class! Sure it dosent explain how to solve the hardest questions involving normal distribution, but darn if it doesn't explain everything it does concisely and neatly!
Never thought statistics could be so fun and easy....this video was literally a life saver. Thank you so muchh. The explanation was just to the point. Great work.
Thank you so much i had ZERO idea what my teacher was talking about but after watching this tutorial at my own pace plus plenty of notes, its SO much clearer!!! Also thanks for keeping it short but descriptive :))
I was sick so I am taking my test later today. Throughout most of this section of the unit I had no idea what was going on. THANK. YOU. SO. MUCH. everything makes sense now and your explaining is amazing. Ill definitely be coming back to ur videos knowing how well your ability is to genuinely explain a concept :)
Thank you so much I'm doing master in logistics and you explained Standard Deviation really very well, I was searching on RUclips since yesterday and I've been watched ton of videos on RUclips, and now I can say YOU ARE THE BEST
Thanks you so much for your kind words and positive feedback! I appreciate your support. Subscribing, liking and commenting on our videos and letting others know about how we have helped you helps immensely
Hey from which country you are? I am being a teacher from INDIA,never understood this concept before watching this.. Thanks a lot from bottom of my heart.. GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY ❤❤

in case anyone wants to know where the number of the table came from, they are the area below the curve (you get it with integral, it is why the table exists, the value doesnt change as the curve is aways the same). The numbers represents percentage value, so 1= 100%. In 8:40 he just does 100% - 84.13% what gives 15.87% or 0.1587 in decimal notation (multiply the number in the table by 100 so you can get the percentage value - notice that some formulas needs the number as it is on the table).
Tomorrow I have my exam for 2nd sem I also stuck with only this part you taught me it in really good manner I got all of them in 15 min in your channel and my heart felt thanks for you
Incredible!! Randomly found your channel but now addicted to your lectures for statistics What a way of teaching..every concept got crystal cleared❤❤❤👍👍
Even though I had a firm grip on normal distributions your video made them feel so much more easier. The way you explained while keeping the video short is truly representative of your superb teaching ability. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your well elaborated lectures on Probability and Statistics. May you kindly prepare more lectures on; Mean and Variance, Random Sampling and Random Numbers, Testing of Hypothesis and Decisions, Quality Control, Acceptance Sampling, and Correlation and Regression Analysis. Is there a chance of getting a pdf of your lectures?Thank you so much once again!
Great question! It is because we are looking for the probability of Z being less than 1.00. The whole number and the first decimal place define the row to look in which is 1.0. Then the second decimal place defines the column to look in which is .00. I hope this helps!
my exam is in 8 hours and I'm learning the entire curriculum, these videos r the only thing holding up my grades.
That's awesome haha! I'm glad we could help out!
