      I spend 2 hours every week in a biostats class feeling like my brain is mush because I can't understand anything. Then I come to this channel and I'm like "oooooh, I get it!" At this point YT is my teacher because I can't for the life of me understand why my biostats lectures are so complicated.

    14:00 He should consider x= 0 as that is also possible, which if we employ the formula, would be 0.75^30 which would be an extremely small number. It would logically make sense, usually we would have a number closer to 25% taking algebra, the chances that 0% take it from a samoke is highly unlikely BUT possible....

      You have a point.
      P(0) =~ 0.000178... in this case.
      P(1) =~ 0.00178... which is an interesting correlation.
      This is because,
      P(1) = (30 * 0.25) * 0.75^29
      P(1) = (7.5) * 0.75^29
      P(1) = (10 * 0.75) * 0.75^29
      P(1) = 10 * 0.75^1 * 0.75^29
      P(1) = 10 * 0.75^(1+29)
      P(1) = 10 * 0.75^30
      And P(0) = 0.75^30

    • @Arthur2x
      @Arthur2x 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@yarachesu2604yes so there is no need of p(0)

    • @r.t.wickramasinghe9258
      @r.t.wickramasinghe9258 6 месяцев назад +5

      @@yarachesu2604 That is not a valid point since we do not know exact total no. of students in the high school. Say that there are 200 students in the high school XYZ. Then total no.of students taking algebra will be 50(25%). So, other 150 will not be taking algebra. So, since the 30 students are chosen randomly, there is at least a small chance that all 30 are selected from that remaining 150. So, there will be a small probability for p(0) which is actually 0.018%
