    If anyone is having an issue where your using a HDMI through a dock to install Windows 11, and your screen is showing as messed up blue and white lines but on your monitor working fine. Keep following the tutorial, this rectifies itself once you have installed the 'Aerith Windows' file from Steam.
    This sorted the issue for me and I could unplug the dock and use the Steam Deck screen rather than the monitor.
    Spent ages trying to search the web and fix it before installing the drivers from steam website.

    Hey man, don't know if you'll reply or not but I have a question (sorry if its a long one). After booting into windows, I didn't turn my steam deck off for days. I did all installation steps and it worked great for a while! Then, my system crashed due to a FlStudio crash, and when I turned it all the way off and back on again. It completely reset the driver, or... I at least think it did. It didn't work for the rest of the night. Now when I boot it up today it worked unexpectly while typing this to find out the exact information (kind of funny). I had an sd card with roughly 250gb of files on it and was removing it to check if the files were okay. Im not sure if maybe the sd card messed it up when restarting. Either way I just want to know if you see any red flags with what I'm saying here, and how I could address the potential problem if so. Thank you for reading all this if you did!!

    Does this overwrite or in any way negatively impact SteamOS? Or does this method simply install Win11 on the SSD as a separate partition? I'm not confident i understand the purpose of the deletion of the storage drives when selecting where to install.
    After installing and restarting, does it automatically ask which OS to boot or do you have to manually select OS by booting to bios?
    Some instructions are missing, please advise :D

      This is only for Windows, you are deleting every partition that SteamOS uses when you install with this guide.

    Silly question, im sh** with computers. So I followed your tutorial and got it up and running, however I used a microSD card. I was just wondering if I can now add other downloads to this microSD such as games, etc.? Additionally, just want to clarify that this is intended to replace utilizing the steam "game mode"?

    DiHow did you find the last 6 Missing Windows drivers?

  • @WalkerIGP
    @WalkerIGP Год назад

    Just did it, but I altered your method to be even easier: with Rufus software and downloading the Windows iso file, you can create an install drive on a MicroSD card and install Windows from there without even needing the USB Flash drive or USB hub. 100% self contained hardware, no additional parts required. Only caveat is that your PC needs a (Micro) SD card slot.

    Looks really Easy. I don't have a Steam Deck yet bc I wanna just know how it looks like when putting a Windows System on the Steam Deck. I'm amazed that the Win11 ISO didn't Whined about "muhh, you don't have TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot Activated, MUHHHH!" - I guess it already haves that and has it Activated. Since this is the First video of your Channel, do you have a Tutorial how to Change a M.2 SSD of the Steam Deck, or Reinstall the Original Steam Deck OS?
