Many who sell plain tickets and an all in already have three-seet-plain mock up in the place where they sell them tickets.

You don’t randomly wake up one day and get diagnosed with black lungs and a gross cough. Not to mention that smoking is a lot more socially acceptable and profitable and doesn’t get the same amount of heat despite the fact that smokers CHOOSE to start smoking, something no one needs or does naturally, and become addicted. Also, smoking just hurts you. When someone smokes they’re consciously hurting everyone around them. I mean its the same when you dumb it down like that, but there are a few big differences.

As a former obese child to an obese man, I agree 100% with this. My obesity had a deep physiological effect on my childhood. I wasn't able to play with the other kids, due to being so slow, therefore I felt very isolated and succumbed to just sitting on a bench and solving my Rubik's cube.
Before this year I made several, very lame attempts to lose weight, but I only managed to do something this year. Whenever I tried to do something in a healthier way, my father would mockingly point it out. He never supported me in my goals to just be healthy, as he weighed over 100kg at 179cm (220lb, 5"11).
This is something I would never wish upon any child. I wasn't bullied all that much, but it was never directly bullying, but more indirect stuff that made me feel very depressed, and just lowered my self-esteem. Every time I see an overweight child, it saddens me to the core, as I remember the difficulties I had while growing up.
At the end of 2020, I cut out all the candy and soda, and in the beginning of 2021, 15 years old, I weighed 91kg (but probably a lot more the months before that), 187cm tall. I now weigh 84kg, but some of it may be the muscle mass I have earned from going to the gym. But I must say that the results are very noticeable and I feel way more confident and I have a higher self-esteem.
The majority of my journey is done, but I still have a lot of excess fat which I need to get rid of, but I'm getting there!

I recently lost 80 pounds. I always made bad choices. I never was called fat, and although I didn't overeat, it was all the crap I did eat. But i couldn't fit into certain chairs comfortably, couldn't do stairs without getting out of breath, you all know the rest. I still have more to loose, but I learned to eat the right way. No prepackaged food or white sugar, carbs, bad fats, etc. I am basically a vegetarian at this point. My energy level is off the charts because of it, and I had Nash, which is liver disease and was caused from being overweight.
I wish someone, even just one person would have just told me, " your too fat!" I would have cried and been mad, but it would have done me good. I think, as my best friend put it, I have always been very well dressed, always worn tasteful you makeup, and everyone has always said I should have been a plus size model. I wish they would have said, that if I lost 150 pounds, I could have been a model.
I will continue to eat the way I do now. It's a lifestyle choice. I can now keep up with my 10 year old daughter, and that means more than anything in the world to me.
People who say I'm fat but I'm happy, are lying. That's how us Fatty's try to convince ourselves. It's like having one leg and saying, I get around as well as everyone else. Well they don't, and fat people who are deemed obese and morbidly obese are not happy!
Eating well, being active, and feeling great because of it makes you happy.
I feel like insurance premiums would be much lower if there were less obese people. I have eliminated three different prescriptions by loosing weight. I'll never go back to doing things the way I used too. Never!

Fun fact. Rogan inspired me to start working out beginning in March (partially due to covid). Since then I managed to drop about 20 pounds. That took me from being technically classified as obese to technically having a "normal" BMI. I am still at the upper section of that healthy weight range, but I am still working. I feel great. I feel like it helped me realize that I am in charge of what happens to my health and my body regardless of my genetics. Recognizing that someone is unhealthy due to their weight and calling them a fat lard is totally different tho. We shouldn’t make someone feel like shit about themselves by purely making assumptions based on their weight and appearance because you haven’t been in their shoes therefore you don’t know if they have a medical condition that makes it hard for them to loose weight, maybe they binge eat because of depression, ya never know what situation they’re in. However, honesty is important so we should approach the issue in a different way rather than outwardly making them feel shitty or else people won’t listen.

  • @rockymen1968
    @rockymen1968 6 лет назад +13

One thing I don't like about either side of the conversion is the link between being healthy and beautiful. You can be beautiful and unhealthy and you can be healthy and not beautiful. They aren't mutually exclusive.
The thing is, there's no one way a about this. Every person is different. One person might only react to being shamed. One person might only react to genuine criticism and help. One person could be so stubborn that they don't take anything on board and have to realise the problem themselves.
The modelling industry has made things worse for everyone. They used to promote, and still do, really skinny girls. That just made normal people feel bad and they suffered huge backlash over the years. Now to make up for it, they're trying to promote plus size as curvy models. Which is completely fine. It's a more natural look, gives people confidence and most of these models are actually in a healthy shape. The problem occurs is when they promote models such as Tess Holiday. Their are no two ways about it, she's in really unhealthy shape. It doesn't matter if it's genetic or not, it gives people false confidence. People see her and think it's ok because she's on the cover on Cosmopolitan. People are saying she's beautiful, which is fine, but it doesn't change the fact the model and the magazine are promoting a ridiculously unhealthy body image.

@VSfan88 right but the point is is that you can be bigger not necessarily morbidly obese like a bunch of these weirdos are talking about, but you can be bigger and still healthy. You can be skinny and still be unhealthy. The problem is is that people think if you have just a little bit of extra fat that that automatically equals unhealthy and that being skinnier automatically equals healthy when it very well doesn't

I was 286lbs on the 2nd of this month and now im at 270. It aint much progress and being hungry all the time sucks, but after being obese for 21 years, it just came to me how good it feels to see that number on the scale go down. I feel like the more people try to promote body positivity, the more willing people are to letting themselves go. Sure its good to be comfortable in your own skin but my lifestyle up until now was going to kill me if I didnt get my act together. The worst part is that there times where trying to tell someone to lose weight can be considered "fat shaming" when some people really just need realize how bad being obese is.

There's a big difference between pretending obesity is healthy, and asking people to not be assholes to those who are. Most of the messages supporting those with these difficulties are aimed at acceptance, not denial.
A lot of the same people who complain about those that point out how unhealthy smoking is - people who say its nobody else's business - a lot of those same people have no problem ripping on the obese.
It's this weird cultural thing where people on two different sides of these issues behave exactly the same. They just do it with different issues.
And if you're in neither camp, but manage to lead a perfectly healthy life with no vices, and want to judge others who do, just remember that you have no idea what it's like to have that issue.
Even if you did at one time, you fundamentally don't understand what it's like to have a compulsion you know is killing you, but simply can't stop indulging.
Believe me, nobody NEEDS to be told their behavior is dangerous. The people who have these kinds of issues think about it.. Every. Single. Day.

As an obese woman, I absolutely despise the FAM. Ringing in 2023, I had no resolutions but as soon as I started seeing all that nonsense by the 13th I started on the Keto diet. By February 8th, I felt good enough to start exercising 30 minutes daily on a stationary bike. By March 22, I added an additional 30-40 minutes of exercise a day walking my dog. So far I have lost 27lbs with 94lbs to go to get to my goal weight and as good as I feel now, I can't wait to see how great I will feel then. BTW, I am 54 years old.

I'm 41, and didn't get "fat" until my late 30's. And it's 100% due to taking in too many calories and not exercising enough. That's what it is. It's not beautiful, it sucks and I know exactly how to lose it. Of course there's way more to me than my fatness, as there is to an overweight woman. And no one should ever judge or belittle an overweight person. But I sure as hell would never go around pretending that I'm proud of it and it's this great thing. Because it isn't. It sucks! Now pass me my doughnut! I need a nap. I'm 41, and deserve to live how I want. Haha

A fat person who says “I am fat, I know I am fat and I know it is unhealthy and that I do not look good” deserves respect. And from there, there at least is some respect for honesty and acknowledging a problem. But to be obese and DENY reality-there is no respect for that. All the false eye lashes, hair dye, injected lips, and tattoos will not change the ugliness of obesity. It ain’t gonna happen.

  • @dildobaggins6937

Body positivity shouldn’t be accepting your fat and gonna have heart disease at 45.
Body positivity should be the encouragement (positive) of people to push their bodies to becoming healthier. Whether it’s a skinny person adding weight, a fat person losing, an athletic person to improve themself.
Fat acceptance has no good argument. It’s exactly like a smoker trying to justify smoking cigarettes.
