- Today we are talking about my favourite Zord of all time. The legendary Dragonzord. A brief history on it and then a small discussion on if it is likely to return in the future. I hope you enjoy!

So the Dragon Zord was the ultimate Zord. When titanus showed up it was Amazing!! So here is a theory. If the master morpher is connected to all of Tommy’s powers then, his zeo powers have to be connected to him as well. The zeo powers have been buffing up the Dragon Zord since the connection has been re established. I think it would make in Incredible come back as being one of the original Zords that has never been destroyed
To quote an annoying blue ranger... "makes sense to me"
Also to quote a power rangers reviewer... "shut up dax"
and with the power buff restoring its power they could evolve the dragon zord giving it a new look updating it to match that new power

This! I would absolutely cry with happiness to see the Dragon Zord once more! Now that Tommy holds the Master Morpher, it would be criminal not to bring it back!
I think I would feel exactly the same but definitely got to bring dragonzord tigerzord back but if they do Tommy needs merge the two togeather with falcon sword pilot on the back to allow the dragon tigerzord to fly would be awesome 🤩

I always wanted to see Dragonzord make a come back. The Falconzord did in a (relatively) newer Power Rangers episode. However, with the passing of JDF, that dream will forever rest alongside the Dragonzord at the bottom of the sea. Rest in peace JDF, and you too, Dragonzord.
I'd love to see something like they did with Trini. Perhaps Tommy and Kat had a son or daughter, somehow they inherit the green ranger powers and the Dragonzord?
I'm surprised that you didnt mention that the Dragonzord survived into the ninja ranger ark of the story and is part of the ninja ultrazord as the Dragonzord chestplate is clearly visible on the front of Titanus in these scenes, making it the only MMPR zord to never be destroyed
Actually The Ninja zords Shoguns zords, Tor & titanus are still active along with the dragon zord. Not all the zords were destroyed. I think too All the zeo zords are as well . After the destruction of the ninja power coins the ninja zords. Just remained dormat.I think The shogun megazord became the primary one through the end of season 3. That was never destroyed Either
@@kerry1979 Kinda odd how they were not destroy cause in Kakuranger, the Super Sentai series of MMPR season 3, the Ninjazords were destroy and the Kakuranger went back to using Muteki Shogun (the Shogunzords).
The Dragonzord almost combined with the Tigerzord in the latest Mighty Morphin comic, unfortunately the merger was stopped by Lord Zedd.
That was in the comics but definitely could happen since Tommy has master morpher dragonzord combined with tigerzord and falconzord would be awesome to see Tommy do this

@@lloydjohnlyons The falconzord is close enough to be considered a phoenix, so if you merge the dragon and tiger zords with it, it would represent 3 of the 4 Ancient Chinese Gods, just need the turtle after that.

It's like the Lightning Collection Dragon dagger, he just has to play the keys, lol.
I was always more concerned with the poor construction workers that had to rebuilt that smokestack the Dragonzord would munch on every time.
The mouthpiece on the helmet must have something to do with it. Or it’s just for show and all Tommy has to do is press the pistons.
Best zord imo. I remember the first appearance "Green with evil" part 5, they said the Dragonzord hasn't been seen in over 10,000 years.
Assuming Rita controlled it then too, shouldn't there have been some history with Dragonzord and Cyclopsis that's unexplored? I'm going to deep in my head canon for this lol

sadly that might not happen. With CGI cost, no sentai footage to support it. The cost to pay staff, and David Frank. It is cheaper to do flashback episode like dinothunder did.

@@setoken11233 If they can make villain suit for action filming, then why can't they replicate a DragonZord suit simillar to the once that was used by Sentai?....... If anyone seen the Power Morphicon not so long ago, that it had a replicate Dino Megazord on display that is really a perfect replica from the Daizyujin suit used to film the Sentai Zyuranger show..... I think Hasbro, Saban should do that unless there will be a copyright issue???
Otherwise, they should go for it, even without Jason David Frank. Any of the new rangers in the new upcoming Power Rangers Dino Fury can get a hold of the power to summon DragonZord, and even bring back the original Megazord that was brought back before in Dino Charge.

Now I know people be like well falcon zord just return. An yes it looked good. But like I said CGI cost money and it's not like this is a anniversary season. Now dont get me wrong I hella love dragonzord and want it back. An maybe it will in the cartoon version. (Since rumor have it this is the last live action season) Even the boom studios made it look like dragonzord and tigerzord were going to combine. We never know but realistically I have doubts it might come back in dino fury.

With the new Green Ranger in the Boom comics. We have seen the return of an updated Dragonzord. As of now it was very short lived. But here’s to hoping to see more of it.
Hmmm...you’re wrong about one thing though, the Wizard of Deception infused the Dragonzord with the power of evil and restored it. So the Dragonzord is fully powered up still.
Dragonzord coming back would pretty much make me have to watch the newest season on Power Rangers.
For a future list, I would love to see a top ten monsters. Best and Worst.

I've always thought that it would've been really cool to see Dragonzord mix it up with Godzilla in a Power Rangers vs. Godzilla show down. But I would also involve Rita Repulsa and some evil space aliens from one of Godzilla's movies. And also, King Ghidorah and Gigan or Mechagodzilla?

Just throwing it out there, but in the mentioned episode, with the clone of Tommy; the green ranger powers are restored. The clone goes back in time and lives out his days there. So that being said it's kinda a wonkie loop hole that makes the powers of the dragon coin active. As far as I know the comics never went into detail or forgot about this detail. And it could further explain the mega morpher.
That could of been it’s own story arc. The current day tommy looking for the clones green ranger power coin.

Let’s have a master morpher series, featuring rangers with their multiple forms, able to combine all their individual form zords together like Tommy with white falcon and green dragonzord combined to make a flying dragon masterzord or something. With modern CG and marital arts that’d be sweeeeet.
I've gotten back into The Power Rangers, and watch old episodes and really enjoy the comics, and some of the crossovers. Thank You for doing the videos , on some or one our favorite Rangers and their most Awesome Zords. Every Ranger and Zord , which is the fans choice, I've always had a soft spot for the Dragon Zord , and it should always have a place and since it's one of the single most powerful and potent Zord, it especially the new Rangers currently on now, it would be the most perfect fit , for Tommy and The Dragon, to not only make an appearence , but both could be master and student with the ever evolving Morphing Grid and the history of the Morphing Grid Masters and the universal message and understanding for bringing forth our favorite heroes and their Zords , and everything is both connected to and how it not only works for the Rangers but it's universal message and why the Rangers will and shall always be needed as protectors of life, May The Power Protect Us All , and apologies for being so long winded.
The Dragonzord is the best zord ever, what makes the Dragonzord special is that is was never destroyed and it was more powerful that the White Tigerzord whereas the Thunder Zords were more powerful that the Original Dino Zords
thats not quit right in the episode where the white ranger fights versus the green one the white ranger loses his power so his tiger zord its weakeend so the dragon zord was at that piont stronger and demaged the tiger zord

In the Japanese counterpart of Dino Thunder (Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger) the key that the black ranger uses to morph could also be played but as a HARMONICA!
But our Tommy never use it that way, but it could have been a nice resemblance to his old Dragon Dagger. Using his Brachio Key to play for the Dino Zords, the sound that comes from the harmonica is good!

Tommy's clone went into the past still with the green rangers powers, so if he pasted them on up to present day, the dragonzord should be able to return.

I wonder if Sentai gives an origin story about the Dragonzord? If not, it'd be cool if the comics did a mini-series explaining the origins of it.
I totally agree it needs to return this season . would be sweet to see Jason and Tommy with the Megazord and Dragonzord return for a battle this new dino themed season. It also showed in Beast Morphers Jason had the original Megazord back in action so this makes sense! Jason also must have possessed a master morpher and has control over his old powers and zords too once again. Also means that the Ninja Megazord must still exist too as we did see White Ranger use his Falconzord too recently

I wanted to see the Dragon zord flip somebody off...anyway, I think the Dragon zord is just chilling on the ocean floor, sitting in a giant recliner watching all the new shows waiting for his time to come 😀

Well with the sad passing of Jason David Frank I think the Dragonzord well forever be as far as live action goes at the bottom of Angel Grove Bay as no one can replace him in live action. But now never say never, but I do not see it happening.
But for the comics it can be done, as Trini is still around in some of them. As for power if Tommy's Green Power Coin is at full power all it would take is either Tommy calling it up. Or some one finding the Dragon Dagger, contecting it to thier morpher like how the Dragonzord coin like was contected to Jasons to power up the Dagger, and Zord then using it to call the sleeping beast.
And if Power Rangers ever goes anime it could happen too just like in the comics.
Something that I would like to see is Tommy pushing the MM to it's limits. Summoning all his Zords (Dragon, Falcon, Brachio, Zeo, Tiger, and even his Turbo Zord) to combine them into one.
Here's a question what would have been the thunder zord version of the dragon sword if the Green ranger never lost his powers
there is something i think about with the dragon zord, i believe that the time force rangers transformed the dragonzord at some point since the quantum rangers zord is similar to it aswell as in super mega when the 6th ranger got his zord and it came from the future, that he was able to transform his mega zord into a form similar to the dragon zord, so i believe somewhere down the timeline of time force they picked up the dragonzord from its slumber and modified it to be able to fight the monsters of that era, but then lost it in the past
i think it would be a great dream of this zord coming back though i think it wont be as powerful as it once was. but maybe with tommy having the master morpher maybe the dragon zord and falcon zord combining to return the dragon zord to its former glory if not more powerful would be awesome too
Like the video, but where'd you get this information from that the Dragonzord didn't have it's own battle mode or couldn't combine with the new zords because it was too weak??
Dragon Zord battle mode is when it combines with the Mastodon, Triceratops and Saber-Toothed Tiger Zords & being too weak is the reason for not having it fight or combine with the Thunderzords

One thing you forgot was the chest section of the dragon zord joins with titanus zord when the rangers have the ninja and shogun zords in season 3
DragonZord will always be my favorite zord as well. So much so that I'm currently making the suit myself as a cosplay, complete with spinning tail. There's nothing better than some green ranger Dragonzord power.

The one thing I wish you in the original mighty Morphin Power Rangers show is making the Dragonzord change into the white tigerzord. Just like how the Rangers original Dinozords transformed into the thunderzords.

I don't think it's a coincidence that th design was extremely similar to Godzilla. Very kool to think about the idea of Godzilla and the power rangers.

I always wanted to custom cosplay a gold and green ranger hybrid. Dragon zord armoring up with Pyramidas would be the most epic thing ever. I wish we’d get an FF15 esq power rangers game with summons replaced by megazords.

The tease in Mighty Morphin that Billy and Grace upgraded it to either combine with the Tigerzord and/or the Thunderzords makes me hopeful we'll get a canon version of the Thunder Dragonzord/Battle Mode.
Tommy may not be my favorite Ranger of all time but there is no denying that the Dragonzord was an absolute BadAss. I always thought the QRex Zord was a great nod to the Dragonzord.
I wish wed get a Tommy Oliver megazord, all his zord combined into one or even a mash up of the tigerzord and dragonzord would be a childhood dream come true through in the falcon zord to really fill out its abilities

What I want to know is that why did they call it the Dragonzord when it was basically Godzilla? Especially as Godzilla isn’t a dragon of any sort and I’ve studied Dragonology so I know my dragons
With the master morpher all of Tommy's powers are able to be shuffled through and somewhat combined(?) to fight any battle that he needs to. Not to mention the ZEO powers grow over time and its been over 30 years, its not hard to imagine that Tommy's weaker power sets of Turbo & Mighty Morphin Green would be buffed like ZEO Ranger V, and maybe even Dink Thunder Black. Maybe Tommy will unlock an even stronger power through the master morpher, kinda like Lord Drakkon in the comics (evil Tommy with the combined strengths and powers of MMPR White, Green, & Red, since he killed that world's version of Jason Scott)
Before the Falconzord came back I didn’t think we see the Dragonzord again. After the Falconzord’s cameo there might be a chance of it coming back. As for appearing in Dino Fury, I highly doubt that. Shame it never appeared in the Soul of the Dragon comic.
