@@Nite-Mite Yeah, but the Dragonzord managed to combine with other zords to get it's Megazord mode in the Death Battle. Tommy didn't even get the CHANCE to do so in this one. Godzilla don't play around.

All due respect to Tommy and the Dragonzord, but there was absolutely no way they were ever beating Godzilla. If we’re going by in-universe stats, the original 1954 Godzilla was 12 meters taller and nearly 130 times heavier than the Dragonzord. The Legendary Godzilla that’s shown in this video is over twice as tall and almost five times heavier than the 1954 Godzilla.
Plus Death Battle confirmed that the Dragonzord is no match for Kiryu. So in all due respect, if it can’t beat Kiryu, then no way is the Zord a match for Godzilla
and how was this match-up any different than any of the dozens of battles between Godzilla and MechaGodzilla? At least MechaGodzilla was built with the intent of being able to match Godzilla. The DragonZord couldn't beat Rita or Zedd's monsters on it's own half the time, it needed to join up with the MegaZord (and sometimes even the TitanZord!)
And yet the green ranger was the strongest of all the power rangers, but yet can't even win a fucking death battle on either bat in the sun or in death battle.... lol what a joke the power rangers are

@@josiahhubbard1372 did you not see Green Ranger vs. Ryu (and technically since they are the same person White Ranger vs. Scorpion)? Both were made by Bat in the Sun and in both cases Tommy Oliver bested his opponent

Yeah going by the vote percentages the fight should have dragged out a LOT longer - but then again, that would have been some crazy effort though.
He lasted longer on Death Battle. It sounds like he needs an upgrade.

I’m sure they had all these ideas too, but it was more a matter of time and logistics. The Dino MegaZord they use in the alternate ending for example was made for an old fight years ago.

That was a curbstomp. Once Godzilla got serious, Dragonzord was like a cardboard robot getting dismantled by a dog.
As a kid I always imagined Godzilla with an ironman style suitcase under the Angel Grove bay waiting for Tommy to play the dragon flute.

@@kievonJSmoothSoul Dragon Zord fails to beat Rita’s monsters on its own . It often requires the other zords. Being charitable Rita’s strongest monster would likely only scale power wise to Godzilla’s weakest foe. There’s a huge power gap between the two.
I definitely agree with how this beatdown ended. There's literally no other way, no alternate, nothing, that could happen. Godzilla is just - THE SHIT!!!

Depends on how much you think experience matters. Death Battle themselves admitted that Tommy had the edge with experience and strategy, but Kiryu was just too powerful.

As much as I love Power Rangers and Dragonzord, thus is exactly how it would play out. Despite how iconic it is, Dragonzord doesn't stand a chance. Especially considering he never took down a single monster in the show, so Godzilla would definitely win like he did here.
Yeah, Dragonzord was barely more powerful than the Tyrannosaurus Zord. which appeared to just about get the best of it in Green with Evil Pt5, and then once the zords combined it got absolutely schooled in a one-on-one fight with the Megazord (though I guess technically that's a 5-on-1 fight) ^_^. It was so one-sided it wasn't even funny (well, maybe a bit funny :p).
It did manage to miraculously beat White Tiger Zord in S2 (which was almost equivalent in power to the Thunder Megazord), but even the show explained this with the "oh no! a critical hit!" line as Tommy got thrown from the zord - in other words, in that one case, it just got lucky.
The funny thing is that if this were someone else like Heisei or Final Wars Godzilla then this fight would be even shorter
Final Wars Godzilla is the One Punch Man of Godzillas.

Attack is called nuclear pulse. First was used by heisei Godzilla (although showa did a magnetic thing that's similar). I do like how monsterverse one has mothra pattern

Even with the combination of other Zords it's heavily outmatched against Godzilla.
Considering the Dragonzord is inferior to Mechagodzilla, and that mechanical lookalikes are nothing new to the Big G, there was no way Tommy was winning this. Death Battle agrees.
I agree, but Death Battle isn't the best source. They've gotten plenty of things wrong before (regardless of whether or not it affected the outcome).

@@NeroLucifarious which he is more than capable of doing in almost any iteration. Comics Godzilla has killed gods, and out matched Thor in strength. The only way they could beat Godzilla was by a little boy kindly asking him to leave. Godzilla Earth is a stomp. And if they use Legendary Godzilla it's a stomp. Legendary Godzilla survived the Oxygen Destroyer and gets healed by a nuclear bomb! Plus he was even able to beat King Ghidorah by himself at least 3 times in that movie. First in antarctica, then in the water, and in the city before Ghidorah started absorbing Energy.
