Hi guys and girls! please remember to subscribe to the channel if you liked the video! 😉🤟🤟🤟 (also yep sorry there was an editing error in the video so i had to fix it and reupload it very quick... that's what I get for editing while sleepy in the middle of the night... 😅🤣) Hope you like the video! ROCK ON!🤟
Great list! I had the privilege to see Nemophila live a couple months ago. I will never forget an 8 months pregnant Mayu screaming the last line of Oiran at the end of the show when she must have been exhausted. We're talking Angela Gossow level power. Blew my mind. 1. Mayu - Nemophila 2. Remi - Ragdollz (Orochi) 3. Regan - Zettai Club, Saiseiga 4. Jyou - Exist Trace (their older stuff) 5. Miki - Galmet 6. Makiko - Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation 7. Kaori - Yellow Machinegun 8. Nana - Fate Gear 9. Arima - Passcode, Lady Baby 10. Vivian - Gallhammer
@@cepho8349 I kinda agree in that Angela would be a distant #1 on this list, but you had to be there. Mayu stepped it up big time at the end of the show.
Mayu is my fav harsh vocals but Yukina and Yu are right up there too!! Such shame Yu not active but she posts on IG from time to time!! 🤘 Love Telecide too Aki was awesome!! I havent listened to Passcode yet, i think i need to!! 😁
Emily is my favorite cause her scream/growl style is very Deathmetal/Deathcore influenced she sounds like she would be a super good fit in one of those bands but she always chooses to sing in metal idols groups XD i mean i like passcode as well but would really like to see her in a band like Jiluka or deviloof. 🤟
Thank you! I mean not to question your choice cause i like them both a LOT but Emily can sing, scream and also growl even more complete if you ask me XD (off course her singing is not as good as Mayu's i'll give you that)
Very nice list. It's surprising how many there are. Emily was formally in Ladybaby. Check out some of their later video to see why she is in Passcode now. Other disbanded groups worth checking out are DazzleVision, Mildrage and Galmet.
Thanks for the suggestion! i really need to delve more into those bands! listening to them is kind of a bittersweet feeling cause i might like some of them a lot but knowing that they are disbanded is pretty sad... 😩
Great list Frank Thank you. I went to Japan in October to see live music, I was there 26 days and saw 36 concerts, I was fortunate to see 5 of the ladies on your list- Regan, Noz &Uriin; Nana (FateGear & Theo Nova) and Yukina, they can all do it live (Yukina even dived into the crowd for a bit of crowd surfing!!!) they are amazing. I spoke to Regan and and Nana after their shows and they are so down to earth and thankful to the fans. Putting the ladies in order is so difficult, as you said it is subjective, for me it changes depending on my own moods. Yu Ymehara's range on the song 'Greyen' is astounding and she along with Aki for some strange reason make me emotional. As other poster have stated Yuna Imada deserved a mention😉 Keep up the good work 🤘
Man that sounds amazing! I really wanna go to japan again in the near future and basically do what you did! ahah, back when I went there 3 years ago I had absolutely no idea they had such good bands! thanks appreciate it! 🤟🤟🤟
One I would like to see on the list is Ayumu from Serenity In Murder, but that band is little known, even after marking 4 albums. It might be because they only got harsh vocals, so it's a little harder to get in to.
I also didn't know the band so i googled them out very quick and they seem very cool, i Like Melodic death metal and also like bands with only harsh vocals but yeah extreme metal has always been a smaller niche just have a look at my channel and see the views I get when i react to deviloof, Jiluka or slaughter to prevail for example compared to other "more accessible" bands ahahah
Yukina takes the win with tone and raw attitude. Mayu is a bit special as she has an exceptionally pretty clean voice and banshee screams - she’s a bit unique really. Nana and Emily are both cool too. 😊 Perhaps Eye should have had a spot here too as her clean is often a growl. lol She’s awesome and has a new album out if anyone’s interested.
I like your Top 10. Through such lists you can always find new artists, you didn't know before. I would recommend RЯ from KAQRIOTERROR. If you want to see her in action check out the song 憐憫パントマイム. The only musicvideo she from them is in, but there are some live videos and live she is even better. Unfortunately she graduated from them about a month ago. She was on the album Ensemble Berserk and on the Reaper Feeder single.
If she was still active Yuna Imada would be my number 1. She did say she missed singing/screaming during a Q&A with her sister so there is a small chance she'll come back in a limited manner solo eventually. Emily Arima is a great pick for 1st now with how much work she's put into her diction/enunciation and mid-range over the last 2 years. Her midrange was the weakest part of her range and that has been made almost flawless over the last year.
I would put Maiko (Dazzle Vision) on this list and pretty high too. She and the band are not active anymore, but she is an OG on female harsh vocals from 2003 to 2015.
Not a fan of harsh vocals. Some of the vocalists who use harsh vocals use good technique, but many use terrible technique (particularly those that scream) and have already ruined their voices. I won't add my own list here because I don't have one to give.

Lol Mayu is nowhere near Angela Gossow.
@@cepho8349 I kinda agree in that Angela would be a distant #1 on this list, but you had to be there. Mayu stepped it up big time at the end of the show.
Thank you, Frank. Again, there are more bands I need to check out because they sound awesome, and you brought them to my ears. Wow.
Mayu is my fav harsh vocals but Yukina and Yu are right up there too!! Such shame Yu not active but she posts on IG from time to time!! 🤘

Another banger list Frank !!! I'm so biased...MAYU is my favorite all around vocalist, she can do it all. Well done 🤘🤘

Aquí si, sin necesidad de ver el vídeo, gana Mayu de lejos ! Gracias 👍😎 para mí Nemophila la mejor banda metal del Japón !✨
Yukina takes the win with tone and raw attitude.

Great list! So, when are you going to check out Nemophila's new album?🤔😄
Yu Umehara of Mergingmoon is one of the legendary screamer/growl in japanese metal.
Everybody who likes Hanabie. should check out Dimrays, especially live videos. Akane is major league. 🤩🤩🤩
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ayumu (Serenity In Murder) and Aikoku (Dragdown) are other great japanese screamers.
Yukina is my favorite.
Yukina was born in April 1999, so she is only 23 years old.
NEMOPHILA
Mayu, age 25
Haraguchi-san, age 25
Hazuki, age 29
Tamu, age 30
Saki, age 32

My list is
1. Yukina ( hanabie)
2. Yuna ( ex passcode)
3. Emily ( passcode)
4. Mayu ( Nemophila)
5. Aki (Telecide)
Yu is easily the best one.
I WOULD LIKE TO PUT MY JAPANESE EX-WIFE ON THIS LIST.
Ouch! Nice one man! 😂🤟

Not for me.
