Come on, is nobody getting a POWER MOVES vibe from this game? The Sound effects, the music style the voice sample style SYOH looking like and playing like a full level JOE. Its basically POWER MOVES 2 lol.
This may be odd, but I only found out about this game because of Ran (girl in red), She was in a NSFW fighting game I played alot back then called Strip Fighter 4 as a special guest. Only, I didn't know she was a special guest. lol Her and "Mari" Marin.
Not a bad little SNES fighting game, even if it is a cookie cutter Street Fighter. The only things missing from it is point bonuses for combos & first strikes, in addition to the credits of who made the game. I also wish there were more videos of this forgotten game, just to see how the babes & werewolf would have fared. Thanks for the discovery!
Even though this looks to be one of many Street Fighter clones that they had back in the day, I must say that I thought the intro to this game was pretty epic. The soundtrack isn't that bad either.
i own it and love it dearly....so many innovations....air blocking, super canceling, wolf guy, fighting on a plane above/higher than the enemy (way before 3d fighting games like vf3 and tekken 4 did the same), dash attacks, double jumping attacks and so on :D
@@greensun1334 Never really played those, so I wouldn't really know if there are slopes in the fights. I've never seen those in the FF or KoF games I've seen, but in the fighting game series that I'm familiar with, they normally get rid of slopes right away.
@@imafreakinninja12 there are seven titles of Fatal Fury games, every single one had a 2 or 3 plane system and was very popular in the arcades. Trust me, it's worth trying, they're great old school fighters!
@@greensun1334 Ya but I'm more interested in a realistic, immersive fighting experience, and unfortunately, the closest thing to that is VF. So no fire balls for me. I've only played some KoF games because Terry and Andy are cute. There are some other cute guys there as well.
_ Syoh : a character chez in Fighting Spirit. (Super Nintendo) _ Ranmaru : a character (man) in Ninja Master's. (Neo Geo, Neo Geo, Adk Tamashii on japanese PlayStation 2)
infravalorated game, introduce new mechanics such as long combos, grab recovery in mid air, guard on air. Also the action was sooo fast, rly loved to play it at home
I wouldn't be surprised if Syoh was also a partial Inspiration for Capcom. He's got Dan's one handed fireball (and Danretsuken later down the line), and Sean's two handed DP
SNES controllers were built to last. You literally had to make a full circle with your finger on a D-pad while pressing a combo of buttons just to launch a hadouken. Chan was especially painful to play. This game gave calluses, I remember playing with my fingers patched, but I just couldn't stop, lol
I compared each of these characters to those characters from Street Fighter.. (like equivalent characters) Syoh - Ryu Chan - Ken Altia - Guile Ranmaru - Chunri Body - Dhalsim Jian - E. Honda Wolvan - Blanka Watts - Zangief
This is suprisingly nice it’s not sf great but it’s above average right up there in the top 10 for me it is more on the tactical side of fighting a bit more challenging than sf. 8/10
@MysticArksRevenge Often the games by these lesser known companies have influenced the bigger ones, too. Falcom's Ys, for example. Falcom isn't very well known outside of japan, but tell me, how many games have red haired swordsmen, silent protags no less, who rescue blue haired girls?
Syoh have super critical art move when his health at critical condition. But i dunno the spesific move set to puah even back then. Its like urameshi super critical art in yuyu hakuso 2 too. I can unleash it by semi circling ⬅️↙️⬇️↘️➡️ back and forward 3 or 4 times then ➡️ and punch. Then Syoh will fly kick forward and urameshi will dash forward
Looks to me like capcom ripped off the improved features in this game when making sf alpha. I mean did anyone else notice the semi cancel system in this game? That's the hallmark of capcom games from alpha and beyond... Hell its all you do in MVC3
The gameplay is much better than the one of sf2 you can make nice combos it plays smoother than sf2 and i think sf alpha series copied from this game only alpha was shit compared to this
my god this a clone of street fighters really ? show ryu kun. However, the game is very nervous i find ? Afters 17 min for terminated the game with one character is very short i find personaly. the game graphics are fat it is not very beautiful as a finish.
Have so good memories from this game. The music in it is great. Thanks for the video.
This looks really good. The animations and the whole flow looks pretty detailed.
One of the Underrated games IMO
Finally I’ve been chasing around for this for hours...
Thanks lord i can sleep now
Mate it's been 16 years imagine my dread
Shamefully I had no idea this was even available on the SFC, great video, thanks for the efforts. I'm definitely going to play this one.

muito bom, é so ouvir as músicas do jogo pra saber que não é ruim.
As músicas são perfeitas! Alugava essa fita na progames rs
Joguei muito no meu snes. Tempo bom!
Quem é street fighter na fila do pão
Olha a velocidade da criatura
Jogaço da pouhhhha

It's funny how you're praising fighting on different planes considering how quickly that gets scrapped in fighting games.

yeah its a blatant street fighter ripoff... BUT the speed is way better than SFII and it just has a better flow to it
8 years later here I am to tell you... This is in no way better than SFII.
@@NiklausMetal 2 years later, he might be talking about vanilla SFII.
That character in the opening definitely by Masami Obari

I thought this looked cool. Started looking it up on eBay, then discovered I already own it 🤣🤣🤣
What is this Syoh person saying in his special moves.
I understand:
Tiger no ken (fireball), Kyujin kyaku (spinning kicks), sho shin ken (dragon punch).
If you beat in hardest you can see all characters ending and the game will give you the way to play with Zeno.
When you know the startegy and Syoh secret move it's makes very easy even the level 8 difficult
are there seriously people trying to argue that this is anything but a direct clone of SF?
Syoh`s Pile Driver where i it? The same moviment do Watts discharge.
Logo que lançado minha mae comprou um pra mim e veio a fita do batlle máster isso em 1995
Man, and I thought "Fighter's History" was the main knockoff to "Street Fighter II: The World Warrior".
What is this a SF2 ROM hack? Haha never heard of this. Looks interesting, tho
