I worry about the extra weight on the plug in. And it falling out on bumpy roads.
Hi Javier. thank you for watching. If it is connected to the plug correctly it will lock, preventing any disconnections while in motion.
Javier, I did have problems with the weight of the brake cable and the length of the controller so I tied a piece of light para cord around it and up to the tonneau cover which supported it just fine.
So does this run similar to a proportional brake controller? Besides when you manually tap them.

When you are not using the Echo blue tooth brake system, what is the procedure to take it off and how do you store it? Will it use up your car battery if you leave it plugged in?

So what happens when the phone rings & you need to use more trailer brakes?
If you're anything like me, your phone will have already disconnected from the echo and it'll feel like you're slamming on your brakes any time you so much as think about slowing down. Or, your trailer brakes will just lock up while you're driving down the street.
It looks like this needs to be running on the main screen to manually break the trailer, not as a background app. Can I use an separate phone for this instead of my main one that runs navigation? Does the phone just need to have Bluetooth on it?
Will this work in my class A 34 rv , will the bluetooth still work from that distance?

I have a Toyota sienna my only concern would be somebody could walk off with it when you were parked
