The RUclips Commenter, I believe, was based on a joke by the comic-strip website XKCD. The cartoon featured claimed if there was a program to read comments back to youtube subscribers, they'd realize how stupid their comments were.

That's funny. I pronounce "roflcopter" the way that Microsoft Sam does, but my brother pronounces it the way that the old comment reader does.
