Sir professor, You are the very best. The way you explained things, Ababa can understand it. I am 63 years old and I very much enjoy your style of teaching May God bless you. We need very many teachers like you. you are superb and unique
I am studying for my ASVAB and ratios, rates and proportions have been giving me the most trouble. Not anymore. Thanks so much for all your help, you are the best teacher!
I learn this in less than 20 when I couldn’t in 2 years -(I hope isn’t more than that)of school Keep it up Sir u such a great teacher; clear and precise all what we need.👌🤓🎉💚
Excellent job explaining percentages, we use them everyday with sales tax and weather, and many jobs require it. Hope to see more like when a value needs to exceed its rating at 125 percent...
Thank you! I have some examples like that coming up in a future lesson. But FYI if it is 125%, just treat it exactly the same way = 125% = 125/100 = 1.25. So If you are a donut shop that can make a maximum of 60 donuts per day, and I tell you that isn't good enough, you need to make 125% of your donut capacity, you would take 60 * 1.25 = 75 donuts. So if I ask you to exceed your donut making capacity to go beyond your usual 100%, and increase it to 125%, you need to make 75 donuts instead of the usual 60. Notice we treated these percents in the same way as any other - no difference.
@@MathAndScience true, in electrical we use it all the time to calculate circuit breakers and wire size, motors often exceed the maximum rating on start ups...
We do this because later we will use it to solve percentage problems. So, we will multiply by the fractional equivalent form of the percent. It is easier to multiply by 1/2 than multiplying by 50/100. You are correct though that either will work.
I follow how to do the math, but I'm not as clear on the idea. I usually think of a decimal as used with a number that's less than a whole, like cents to a dollar. But for 1.5 million, isn't the decimal separating two whole numbers?
I just looked this up and it looks interesting. Not a bad way for students to remember. However I prefer to focus on what the fraction means, then you don't have to remember anything because all fractions mean the same thing when thinking of fractions as the division of two numbers.
Thank you, I had such a hard time trying to ratio ppl, I always get counter-ratioed or underperform, but after watching this my ratios have gotten more 15× the amount of likes than the original post 😊😊❤️❤️❤️
You are a natural at explaining the concepts! You are amazing! Please continue doing what you are doing.

GOOD JOB AS EVER!!!
Pls can you post a video on percent decrease and increase.
You are great man
Thank you
Why should we convert the percentage into a reduced fraction or decimal?
Eg. 50%=50/100 is itself gives the clear picture of percentage.
We do this because later we will use it to solve percentage problems. So, we will multiply by the fractional equivalent form of the percent. It is easier to multiply by 1/2 than multiplying by 50/100. You are correct though that either will work.

Thank you 😊😊
Thank you.
Great teacher. I once got asked what was 75% of 75 in a pub quiz.

Good morning!
Thanks.
You're welcome!
Could make a quiz after all the lessons you teach?
For a fee you can take his course which has everything you need. This is just a small sample of what he has to offer.
Thanks so much, yes you can visit www.MathAndScience.com and also get quizzes and worksheets for these lessons. Thanks again very much! Jason
thank u sir
can somebody tell me how - 0,5d = 6 ends up as d= -12???? like how the heck.... i dont get it.....
Got it..when a Weather Man says 50%..it means ,They have no idea if it is going to rain or not !!!
1:15 Well... when you put it like that.
1:15 - 1:30 can’t tell if I’m learning or being robbed.
This is taught as fdp in the UK
