  • Mark Womack "figured it out." He did what every car guy aspires to do. He learned. What did he learn, you might ask? Well, for starters, he learned just what it takes to win the Mexican Norra 1000.
Not only does it take a lot of horsepower, balanced with a great suspension, along with low enough gears for rock climbing yet capable of ripping through the desert...to win takes heart. It takes a team. It takes experience, perseverance, and focus...and the list could go on and on. And if you get all of these ingredients in a pot and stir them up, you will probably end up with something like the GMR team.
This autobiographical film encompasses a short version of how hard winning a race really is. All the moving parts, everything that could go wrong: Mark, Randy, and a couple others from the GMR team share their insight on the 2019 Norra 1000, and provide an intimate look at the story behind the GMR Bronco.
Thank you to the entire team: Mark, Randy L., Randy M., John, and Karl(not pictured)-for sharing this great Bronco story!
We look forward to seeing them race again this year in the Mexican Norra 1000!

Very cool! I like it when he said that he welded up over 250 hole's. I have welded up over 325 unessacary hole's in the body and frame of my 72 Bronco restoration.

So they raced Norra Legend class with a Fuel injected engine? Maybe it’s a new rule that engines need to be carbureted. I think that radius arm rule also changed. Pioneer is 33” tire max and legend is 35” max. Cool story tho

This was pretty awesome. In the future could you guys cover more of the makeup of the vehicle? I’d like to know more about the technical aspect of the trucks. What’s the lift? Springs? Axles? Stuff like that.

Yeah definitely! We usually try to let the owner tell the story they want to tell. If we can edge in the tech aspects, we will. But thanks for the input! We will definitely work on getting more of that info in the future!

Makes me miss my old 74 I built with my father, had to sell it cheap during divorce to guy who owned wolf electric.

These old Bronco stories tend to do that...it's a bummer that you had to sell it.
