Almost two and half hours of adventure and I never saw you grind coffee beans, smash garlic with a knife or use 10 pound cast iron skillets to burn steaks. Thank you for making it about overlanding and not a cooking show.
Lmao this comment wins I have noticed alot of overlanding videos being trendy and doing that exact same thing, if I ever make a video I'll probably be the only one who doesn't drink his coffee black lmao
Thought the same thing. Thanks for not putting a bunch of bullshit in your overland videos.
This comment makes me want a cup of coffee ☕
I agree 💯
I'm so tired of seeing everyone cook
I just scanned through looking for cooking. I do that when I see people with no rock sliders or tow points.
*Man, you sold on a Toyota Tundra... and I don't even need one.*
Toyota should really recognize this beautiful documentary as probably one of the most intensely beautiful demonstrations of their products ever created. This was produced with so much character, soul, and love that it could literally be aired in movie theaters - and people would be moved to tears. What an incredible journey... I am born and raised an American through and through. Yet, I have never set foot west of the Mississippi. I am so incredibly jealous of you, and also immeasurably proud that you made this trip and documented it in such a stunningly beautiful way for me to see. I never would've been able to get a feel for it otherwise, and who knows if I'll ever make it out that way, or even overland it like you. I didn't even know overloading was a thing until I saw this in my recommended today.
@@scenicdepictionsofchicagolife I’m super curious… has your interest in overlanding continued over the last year? There’s no shortage of information to really get you bitten by the overlanding bug! Hope to see you on the trails someday
You're putting out a lot of awesome content, you're right up there with X Overland in my book!
Thank you!
I feel like I’m watching a Nat Geo or Planet Earth video, outstanding.
LOL, so happy you did the mini-traction board skit! Thanks for that.
Your video quality continues to improve
Your video randomly showed up while I was watching some offroad reviews of pick-ups. After spending over two hours watching just one video, I am seriously impressed at the beauty and the simplicity of your style. Perfectly edited with right visual, transitions and background music, all without any unnecessary drama. Loved it. Subscribing. Love from India :)
You're living my dream man seriously i watched the whole video, started sometime 1am now its about to be 4. You're video quality and editing is amazing felt like a movie i hope i can do trips like what you do some day i really want to. Stay safe out there 🤘
Thanks! It’s definitely something you can do!
I would love to know what your do to be able to do this.
watching this makes me wish i could buy a nice vehicle and overland, explore the country by back roads, amazing 2.5 hrs of watching
This is without question one of the best Overland trips/Adventures I've ever seen. The videos, the entire thing was truly epic. I enjoyed every minute of this.
Dave, greetings from Czech Republic, Europe, you are one very, very talented and fast learning documentary cinematographer, let me give you that.. The takes from your hand, from your car, and from your drone, are amazing, well mixed together with soothing music, going well together with the the themes and sights, the amount of talking you do is about perfect, very soothing... The big boyz from Discovery and Nat Geo certainly have a lot to learn from you, they really do, and changing the color of your Tundra was a great move, it really goes well with them blue skies and the blue lakes on the way. Congatulations, keep up the great job... 👍
You're turning into an epic cinematographer. Congrats on the new addition to your family.
Stumbled upon your video by chance falling asleep watching TV and woke up to awesome views and a cool 😎 adventure. Your wife really impressed me, 7 months pregnant, still working and camping in a pickup truck for that much time. She is amazing. Now a subscriber 👍🏻
Thank you. She didn’t want to be in this video much, but she’s there in the background doing all the driving so I can film.
ME TOO JUST STUMBLED ON THIS VIDEO
Love that tundra. Great video and honestly you couldn't have picked a better vehicle to take you there and bring you back
I Just got a Tremor and this video randomly shows up. Was looking for a new hobby and this inspired me to try Overlanding. Thank you.
Wanted to say that I got hung up on the same spot in Joshua Tree in my Tacoma. That little spot is one of the toughest in any national park!
Your filming, editing, storytelling and the landscape are next level. Hats off
Wow, what an incredible Journey watch the entire thing from beginning to end ending in Canada is always a plus so beautiful. I hope you both had a wonderful adventure and congratulations on your new baby.
Awesome teamwork. Your lady is happy, pretty, and gives a hand! Timmy C Arizona
This is my dream trip to take in my fj62 landcruiser. You guys are living my dream
You made a great choice in color that really stands out.
Thank you for sharing this Adventurous video in a "Border to Border on the Pacific Crest".
Wow ... This is AWESOME, Dude! It is like teleporting back into the 19th century, except with some high-tech gears and no horseback ridings with all the dusts. It feels like Kid Curry, the Dalton Gang, etc., and to name a few.
Amazing out of this world scenery and footage. You are truly a master at capturing every detail along the way. Safe travels Rob
This was probably your most epic trip. Your videos have only gotten bietter! I enjoyed this post!
Love this movie! I live in Southern California and your drone shots, music, narration (not to much talking), interesting information is so calming! I’ve watched this movie 4x already! 👍👍👍
I noticed that you have your Weboost antenna (receiver(RX)) really close to your other COMMs antenna. A Weboost is a sensitive RX that said you could damage that system (even if off) by having a TX (15-50W) close to the weboost RX l, even if they use different bands/frequency the power of the TX can bleed in and damage the unit. I learned this when mine was in a similar configuration, and an Electromagnetic Warfare Officer (EWO) mentioned it. Love your content style and information, amazing production quality! MikeD.
Good video. The wrap color is superb, noticeable without being gaudy.
The sunset at Cornwall Fire Tower was amazing. This is one of my favourite dual sport motorbike rides. You did it justice indeed! Appreciate the video.
That Tremor is such a nice truck and is just as capable Bone Stock as a modified tundra
Agreed. It’s a great truck, and makes the TRD Pro Tundras look pretty lame.
I'm loving these longer form movies, keep it up!
Thank you I like that you are travelling with other trucks because you never know what is in your front
keep on
Just wanted to say - BEAUTIFUL shots. You guys are artists with your visual eye. Thanks very much for taking us along.
Great video! Been watching a little bit every morning while drinking coffee before work. Thanks for sharing your adventure and... Happy trails to you!
Lot of good stuff here. Always looking for ideas for my next adventure.
Great video and tips on driving the trail. Never rode in the west coast desert before but the video was so good. The wife even stopped buffing my bagpipe to take a looks
Thank you for making this video. Amazing cinematography, story telling, and choice of music! I'm jealous of your amazing adventures!
Glad you enjoyed it! It was a great trip.
We went to Reward Mine at night and got lost around the tracks and inside the mine. It's was a scary first off roading for me
Absolutely one of the best videos I've seen in a long time. Well Done Brother!
Where you are camped looks like an area where my grandma and is lived in the Mojave about 30 miles outside Apple valley. They also had train tracks - there’s a Borax mine not too to far from where they lived.
Your videos are wonderful and some of the views are postcard worthy - worth thinking about.
Thanks for the great . . . up-close footage; just awesome!
I’ve been sitting at home all day with my partner, watching your videos, and you have inspired me to take some of the trips that you have. Thank you for sharing such wonderful videos on such a relaxing day. I hope you have a very merry Christmas..
I like how oem they made the lights in the bumper look
New subscriber. I enjoyed every minute of your adventure. Thanks for taking us with!!
First of all I love the music its very therapeutic plus the views. Fantastic work and edit. Not too many dubbing which i loooove the most. Your voice is soothing. Good job!
Interesting info. We bought a 4runner and started overlanding and then added a Tundra. Great rigs.
I've done long sections of the PCT and the complete TAT, but haven't ever heard of this route. So glad I found it. Next adventure....but I'm thinking motorcycle.
Your road buddy was like “here comes the mini maxtraxx joke again.” 😝 Awesome video. Love the really long form video that really allows us to be along for the trip!
nice to see it all come together.. that was quite the journey, beautifully edited.. cheers!
Thanks!
So freaking cool. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Great job letting your audience enjoy the footage long enough to satisfy us from our recliners, lol
No excuses for any home builders now! Good job Mike, can’t wait to see what you do with the custom airplane builds! House should turn out amazingly too
Great video. I used to live there!
Joshua Tree, my old “backyard” there is some beauty to the area for sure.
"Is the truck too big?" - I drive a jeep Wrangler and my philosophy is to keep things light and nimble. That said, No: I do not think the trick is too big. My opinion is that the purpose of overlanding is to adventure with what you're comfortable with. Great video. I've been to many of the places visited, just never in one trip.
I look forward to traveling some of those trails
Yes. The answer is yes with air. I’d like to see a walkthrough video of your air setup. I’m sure if it is new to you there are some things that could make your life better. This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched and I’m definitely subscribing!
Great cinematography and background music. Very impressive. Eastern Sierras do make it easier however with their stunning topography.
Oregon is my home state. Next time you want to hit the Oregon Coast. Visit Cape Kiwanda in the early morning. Sit on the beach and watch the Dory boats being launched. It is cool
24:10 Sorry about the Drone Police...... It's ridiculous how many people can't just leave other drone pilots alone. Your Videos are great keep up the good work!!!
I love watching you guys together.
Thank you for taking me on a journey that I could not do myself. Amazing camera shots and editing!
Wow.. awesome vid and especially the drone footage.. just wow
Nevermind the backhanded comments, great work. You just made my next trip itinerary for me. Very well done. You put an immense amount of work into making this video. 👍🏼
I'm really enjoying this and totally want to do this entire route.
I've been all over Joshua Tree and I have been across the Mojave Road a couple of times (I even got lost in the same spot you did!).
What an incredible journey!
Oh nice, you stopped by Tailings Pond. That is a cute place.
Your epic film popped up in my feed, and I'm so glad it did. What an amazing adventure! Brilliant videography. I live on the wrong continent, we don't have any overland trails of decent length in the UK. A like and a follow!
Stunning scenery!
Fill tumbler 2/3s ice
Generous shake of Tajin and Tapatio
Cut lime in half, saving a little wedge for garnish. Juice into glass.
2/3 Clamato
1/3 Pacifico
Little shake of Tajin on the foam.
Garnish with lime wedge
Ahhhhhmazing vid! I know the Mojave desert well and you really hit all the best highlights. Good job. I need to explore the northern 2/3 of the lands in this vid. Thank you so much for producing/filming/editing such a masterpiece in overlanding documentary
This is awesome this is landscape I have never seen before I really enjoyed it
just watched this! glad you didnt have to deliver your child while on the road! LOL!
whatta trooper your wife is! God Bless! I'm putting this on my overland list! enjoyed it, but had to break it up into pieces for my short attention span! HA!
Outstanding sir!
I was stationed near Joshua tree for a few years. absolutely Hated the place and despised the desert, this recently popped up in the auto play and never thought I'd ever miss that place, sure did take all that open desert and Socal mountains for granted, but I sure do miss wheeling with the boys. Should have gone one more time while we were all still together.
Amazing video.....I was just at Trona Pinnicles and I use to live in Joshua Tree......just for future reference those 3 ton signs mean load capacity for a commercial truck, not regular everyday vehicles.
Nice, i like those modifications, very professional well executed.
Now i wish a truck like that too
The Joshua trees are so great
They're really cool!
You said it right. Sisk-you is the way to say it. If you end up in Yreka CA, the county seat on I-5, swing by the Main Street Meat Market. They are a deli/butcher's shop and they have the most amazing "wet" beef jerky of all time. It's cured and refrigerated. It's essentially meat candy.
Just want to say that your videos are spectacular!!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Love the Toyota Tundra, I got one a bit older myself.
Awesome content and great trip u had brother! Can't wait until I'm financially stable to build my rig and do this for fun!
Great trip, thanks for bringing us along!
Impressive Contant and good choice of a different copilot that’s not scared to be on camera. Save the rest video for me.😂
So much to comment on..I watched the whole video it really kept my attention...
Thanks! This really brought me back to so many track days that you ran at Spring Mountain with your yellow 928 years ago.
Makes me want to get back at it!
Awesome coach-through of the track and thanks again, Scott.
I was literally glued to the screen the entire time! Absolutely amazing views and your video quality and editing is astounding. Thank you very much for the content you are providing. Subscribed and liked. Keep it up!
I hope this video gets the views it deserves.
I hope it does well!
That was an excellent movie. Really nice work; what an accomplishment!
This was excellent! Great content and some awesome tips for us here on the west coast. Keep it up!
The Pacific Northwest has beautiful scenery. It has it all. Mountains, Oceans, lakes, rivers even a desert or two. I live 40 miles away from My Saint Helens. You can barely tell a volcano ran through and gutted this area out. Nature has a way of repairing herself. The sad part about all of this is was is taking place in our cities in this region. It is so bad I personally will not enter Portland, OR and Seattle is not much better. The news and media are not covering how terrible it has gotten in this cities. Homelessness in a massive scale. Every block downtown has people living or just hanging out. Businesses are boarded up. Most are in the process of moving out. The only thing Portland's has to offer is cheap auto parts. So many cars are stolen they are laying all over the place. Tell a homeless person what you need for care parts and they will have the part for you the next day. Crazy what has happened. Portland's crime rate is second to none and Seattle looks like a war zone in certain areas. Sorry to say we have lost Portland. It has become a tragedy of what politics do when it gets out of hand. The Northwest is an extension of California. Everything that's not right in California has become the same problem to the state North of it. They have moved North and the housing prices and rents have more than doubled in two years and cost of living is out of this world. Thank God we still have the Mountains and places not everyone can reach.
This video shows that “they are coming “ with their 100K pickups, drone tech, don’t really give a darn what the names of the surrounding ranges be. Get out and walk!
@@Ramenscooter What, you don't like pickups?
What makes you think God doesn't want everyone to be able to go out and explore His beauty? I am happy you appreciate all the wonders of Creation but those who live in less beautiful places, shouldn't they be allowed to explore those mountains, oceans, lakes, and rivers too? They may need that exposure even more than someone fortunate enough to live there.
There’s more than one ocean west of us?
@@TrantGouchey I mean... if you go far enough
Great work helping the people
Now I want to do this!! Great video. 🙌
Fantastic quality of video and excellent content. Great job.
the truck looks way more solid with the added weight
Loving these long videos👍
Amazing video. The picture and editing was great.
great video dude. Looks like a bad ass route.
I appreciate your videography style. Excellent production and a minimum of shaky handheld selfie-style shots.
Just got the 2024 Limited mode....I really like it.
Thanks for another great vid. Most of the people concerned with flying drones in national parks are clueless. What the law says is that you cannot fly the drone from within the park. I was informed, believe it or not, by the NP ranger in AZ that as long as I am controlling the drone from outside the park, flying over it is perfectly legal.
I don’t know if you know this or care to but I own a Ikamper too and read where you should keep the ladders bottom cover on the legs when the tent is closed to keep the gases from ladder from turning the skylight brown down the road. I just saw a clip where you didn’t so I paused the video to type this 🏕️🏕️🏕️
You’re 100% right. I keep forgetting, and have damaged the window on mine.
G'day mate. I'm an Aussie, and I just can't pick your accent. It's got me baffled. Great work, by the way. Thanks for sharing. You've bumped my motivation to get over there up a few levels.
😁👍
I think it's a hybrid Aussie/American accent
@@mikegills6127 Yeah, that's what I thought, then I thought, "Nah". That's not anything Aussie. So I vacillate from South African to Canadian, to Zimbabwean, and back to South African. I have no idea. Hence the question. I can't wait for the answer. 🤣🤣🤣
@@Bushnurse1Rob is British. But his accent has been gradually morphing more into American…
