Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy reunite for the highly anticipated Disney+ Original Movie “Hocus Pocus 2.” The live-action, long awaited sequel to the perennial Halloween classic, which brings back the delightfully wicked Sanderson sisters for more comedic mayhem, will debut on Disney+ on September 30.
It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve. “Hocus Pocus 2” also stars Doug Jones (“The Shape of Water”), Whitney Peak (“Gossip Girl”), Lilia Buckingham (“Dirt”), Belisa Escobedo (“American Horror Stories”), Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”), Tony Hale (“Veep”), Sam Richardson (“The Tomorrow War,” “Good Boys”), Juju Brener (“Vanquish”), Froy Gutierrez (“Teen Wolf”), Taylor Paige Henderson and Nina Kitchen. The film is directed by Anne Fletcher (“Dumplin,’” “The Proposal”), written by Jen D’Angelo (“Happy Together,” “Workaholics”) and produced by Lynn Harris (“King Richard,” “The Shallows”), with Adam Shankman (“Disenchanted,” “Hairspray”), Ralph Winter (“Hocus Pocus,” “X-Men” franchise) and David Kirschner (“Hocus Pocus,” “Chucky”) serving as executive producers.

This sequel really should have been released in theaters and given a physical copy to buy.
In a way Disney still wins. With today's technologies, the physical movie industry is failing. There are movies that released in the past year and winded up on the internet within 2 weeks...We are talking the real deal at that. I have Disney+. Movies like this and other shows encourages membership. Membership can fluctuate, but, the app is world wide. Think of how much money they are making with the whole world subscribing.
i bet you it wont be freeon disney+, when curella and other movies came on the app there was a 20$ fee for the movies. so i bet they will do it with this one but i could be wrong

@ashley1994 I enjoyed Bewitched as much as Hocus Pocus. I even liked Samantha's father Maurice. No one really reminisces about him. He was a very theatrical/overly dramatic/funny character. Maurice and Endora matched each other very well. My favorite episode of Maurice will always be his first when he pays Sam a visit and finds out that she married a mortal. He was hilariously furious. Hocus Pocus and Bewitched are both the G.O.A.T. S.
it's a pity they not showing it in cinemas it would be great to watch it on big sreen

Hocus Pocus already plays in cinemas every year around Halloween, you’d think Disney would want to capitalise on the idea of a double feature

I'm 28 years old and Hocus Pocus has been a part of my Halloween since I was born, been so excited since they announced this sequel! Really wish it was going to be in theaters. Nonetheless, i will enjoy it with my kids tomorrow!! 🎃 🧹 💚

so cool, the sequel is stunningly good tooi remember watching when it first came out in 1993, i just turned 10 at the time, so glad it has such a massive fan base still , it is a yearly for me to, first on DVD in the 2000s and then streaming and now the 2018 blu ray release
This really was an AMAZING sequel. I was so scared I’d be disappointed with all the remakes coming out. But this should have been out in theatres. TRUE PERFECTION
I was eight years old back in '93 when the first one came out. I wanted to go to the movies to see it, but I had to wait a whole year to rent it from the public library. Remember the days when it took a whole year for a movie to come out on VHS? This one should've been released on film; I don't care if the old one was a flop at the box office. The cult following made the original film a success regardless. I love these three women. They're taking me back to the days when my parents paid for everything, I had no bills, no major responsibilities, except for going to school.
Every time I see Hocus Pocus it takes me back to when my grandmother and all of my Aunts took my sister, myself and our cousin to the theater to see it. What a wonderful memory for me. I'm ready to watch it tomorrow!
My pure childhood. Literally with my two best friends we each have a bracelet with the colors of the Sanderson, and always after school we hold each other's arms and walk like the witches in their classic walk. They are a legacy. I don’t know if Bette, Sarah J, or Kathy will see this, but I was born in ‘95 and grew up with this movie. This sequel meant so, SO much to me. Thank you for being such a big part of my childhood

Can honestly say I wasn't really a fan growing up but in recent years after countless views on ABC Freeform etc that Hocus Pocus has become a pretty big staple in my Halloween life. Cannot wait to see the sequel tomorrow
I am 32 years old now and I remember when I was 4, my father wanted this movie and it had these three on the cover. Hocus Pocus was probably one of the first films I ever watched.

I was 10 years old when this came out and I had it on VHS. Man, such a solid sequel! Guys, 30 years is a lifetime! To have the three of them return is everyrhing! Good or bad--this sequel was awesome!
Someone who I've been seeing a lot recently is a creator called the 4thSandersonSister, she pretty much embodies how I'd like to physically react to this movie finally being made but can't. So I'm glad to see she was featured in this video for a brief moment, I'm sure that means a lot to her.
We were so pleased with her reactions to our Teaser and Trailer, that when it came time to include fan channel snippets, we just had to put her in. 😁
So grateful for you all returning because now I get to share what has been apart of my Halloween as a kid now with my nephew and nieces who are kids!

These ladies are awesome! Bette is still beautiful with that awesome voice! 😯😃 These roles were iconic 30 years ago & even better today! I loved the ending of #2 because they are loveable characters. We've watched the movie every Halloween as a family since my kids were little. They are grown & sharing with their own kids now. Nostalgic, Incredible & Extraordinary all rolled up in one! I remember seeing this at the cinema and LOVED it. We weren’t allowed to celebrate Halloween in my early childhood so I naturally sponged up anything with witches 😂

I’m 17 and my Dad first showed this movie to me when I was probably 10-11ish and immediately fell in love with these 3, I’m so glad they finally decided to make a sequal

This movie probably would have made a TON of money in theaters, but that being said Hocus Pocus 2 is one of the biggest reasons I got Disney Plus in the first place so I hope Disney did it right. If it wasn't for the fact that all three original actresses came back into their roles I probably would be skeptical, but the fact that they did and they look pretty much the same is AWESOME!!! And on top of that we have Billy back too and he was my favorite character besides Binx from the original!!! 😃

I still know every line from the original movie. Now I just need to know every one from the sequel. Then I am officially part of the Sanderson Hocus Pocus world. Lol. I was shocked when I first discovered that it wasn’t released in the theatres, since almost every film that famous actors/actresses star in gets released at theatres. But at least it’s still been phenomenal since it came out on Disney Plus in September.
