Ever since I was young boy their MUSIC has been a great inspiration and will always be a part of me while living on this planet called earth. I hope and pray that their MUSIC is appreciated in heaven. I thank them for not only their contribution to the MUSIC industry but to the human spirit. Right on! In 1975 Motown was really starting to lose it's status. Diana Ross's Second Movie Mahogany was a flop, the Jackson Five (sans Jermaine) left and got slapped with a 20 Million Dollar Lawsuit that took Six Years to settle with a Payment of $500.000.00, and Smokey Robinson & Berry were at loggerheads over Songwriting Issues. The one thing that "saved" them was Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" being Marvin's Third Number One Hit and Stevie Wonder's Songs In The Key Of Life that made history by being the first Album to debut at #1. No other Act did it with the exception of Elton John with Captain Fantastic & The Brown Dirt Cowboy.

If Pop Idol was still on the Air in The UK, I would love for them to do a Show saluting The Music of Philly. On Other Idol Shows, they've done tributes to Motown, The 1970's, Movies, and The Beatles.
