It’s so tough I’ve been on RUclips for 2+ years and I probably made a mistake by having 3 RUclips channels but I couldn’t do everything I wanted on one channel. I’m also on instagram and TikTok now. I try to repurpose content on other platforms. It’s crazy. I’m determined to succeed because I hurt my back and stopped my career as a hairstylist 3 years ago. I’m dog sitting for extra money and doing outdoor art shows as much as possible. Although it’s hard I am so much happier 😊
Yes...mindset is everything. You need a solid inner game to fuel the most beneficial success. A solid inner game means that you need to 1. Know you are good enough to your core, 2. know that you belong or fit in (even with yourself), 3. Know that you can get what you want, 4. Feel safe and secure, and 5. Rid yourself of any harbored or trapped rage, resentment or anger.
Sean you are onto something with this video. Like majorly, I’ve never heard any video about this nuance of the creative endeavors. This video is awesome bro, thank you

Thank you, that was so good. I (finally!!) created a channel, and just last week, I put up my first 3 videos. The next one is coming out tomorrow.
At least for me, it's not just the work that comes with it. I already know that my niche is not anything for the masses. It's faith-based content in a language that is not as widespread as English, and the topics can be a bit controversial. Bottom line, I can't expect large growth anytime soon, and monetizing faith-based content is also often seen as very controversial.
But this is where my passion lies. So I'll do all I can, knowing it's not an easy ride.
This is good man. It's so tough to be a good Husband, Father, Believer, Worker, and content creator all at the same time. Trying my best, but man there's not enough time in the day haha. God bless my friend!

I listened on Apple but came here to comment. One issue you didn’t mention, but have discussed because you have experience with it is Physical Pain or disability. I’ve had 4 Spine surgeries with plates & screws in lower back & worse, my neck. I’m in Chronic pain & insomnia. I never know from day to day if it’s going to be a pain level 5, tolerable or a 9-10, feels like my spine is trying to come thru my skin like Alien. So I shoot when I must, trains & Cars and edit when I can, often between 1-5am because I’m up anyway and no one will bother me. I’m working on getting into the Amazon Influencer program so I can do reviews all year round.
I love that you are open about your faith in your podcasts. I feel like you are sharing truth about RUclips etc and not just hustling a program sale. I look forward to all the fresh content and will be listening to the older content for education. Thanks for all you do. I will be signing up for the challenge. Dave in PA.
THANK YOU for talking about this Sean! As a business owner, full time solo mum AND struggling with mental health issues (aren't we all), to then plan, execute and doing all the things to do with creating RUclips content, is a BIG STRETCH to say the least. I'm literally sitting in my pjs absolutely exhausted editing photos for my next video instead of watching Netflix haha a BIG shout out to all creative RUclipsrs because we have the added load of photo editing on top!

This resonates so much with me. I started my youtube channel back in 2016 made 1 video didn't get barely any views didn't go back to it. Now fast forward to 2024 and I'm really investing my time with this content creation thing. I've been watching RUclips since forever and saw the changes it's gone through and now I'm realizing as I've worked all my life I don't want to continue that I want to put myself out there and show the world what I'm passionate about, but also my personality. Its something I wasn't allowed or given the chance to when I was younger. Thank you for reigniting that fire within me and not wanting to quit. I pray for every small channel or even larger scale channels that are providing inspiration, they continue and flourish with abundance and your channel continues to grow in the name of God.

wow wow wow. Been pushing HARD this month ahead of a month-long vacation and have really been thinking about these very points. BUT... The manifesto. THIS IS WHY I LOVE SEAN AND THINK MEDIA! I can't believe how much I needed to hear this. 1,000 Thumbs Up! Edit: I just copied the transcript, cleaned it up, and will print and post where I can see it every day.
I find one of the toughest things is when you have a good few months in terms of views, then an algorithm change happens and they drop. I try and remember that anything worth doing is never easy though! Keep grinding!
This was absolutely wonderful Sean! This is exactly what I needed to hear. I wasn’t contemplating quitting or anything, but I’m just so tired all the time. And I’m completely burnt out by my 9-5, so it’s a struggle to find the energy to work on the side hustle. But it’s my dream. And I know I won’t get to where I want to go without going through this season. But it was really nice to hear from someone who gets it. Really appreciate the encouragement and the reminders for grace.

Best podcast for me to hear today. I'm working full time as an early childhood educator and part timer as a content creator, and this is my biggest challenge on how to make my time to be productive.

I've sabotaged myself my whole life because I was scared of success, I figured that out by discovering my true worth and purpose. My message is to deliver this clearly through my life story. Since then, wonderful things have been happening. I have 5 kids and run 2 businesses on the side but the more I do the more energy I have to do businesses'e things. Powerful message you are bringing today. I'm in the tube1k challenge btw :)
Thank you for this. I have struggled with watching creators who add very little value to RUclips, rapidly gain subscribers because their "drama" is supposedly entertaining. People can't take their eyes off of a "train wreck" and these creators monetized on that. Meanwhile I try to add value to what I do, and I'm not even at 2K subscribers yet. I'm thankful for what I've received, yet frustrated that others who just turn on a camera and cuss at someone gets thousands and thousands of views and subscribers.
No, I have never thought about quitting RUclips, because RUclips is fun, challenging, and I am having a lot of fun learning new things! A bit Challenging, Yes! Thanks to Think Media!

My biggest one is the views going up and down I was at 10k per short now they near hit 100 views. I havented given up so far but it's definitely tough. You can do this.

I just recently hit 1K but the uphill battle to get my views up to 4k has been a mental challenge. I am definitely not quitting and I do feel like my videos are getting better, but struggling to not get discouraged by the analytics has been one of toughest battles.

I'll put it up to 70 hours a week as a semi truck driver just started mine RUclips Channel about 30 days ago I hammered hard to get my name out quick and 30 days I've got out 89 videos Counting shorts and all now I'm slow down to one short and one long video of per day I know and feel the frustration butt my motto is refused to lose😊
This video must be the best video the think media has ever made . Wow just going thru those things this summer . Especially the work been busy. Having only had time to make one short a week after June has been stressing me out. I do have material for a longer video but simply can’t make time now to put them together . To complicate matters I am a faceless and voiceless channel with original content only is making matters more difficult ,been thinking about starting to use AI voice for my videos . The only reason I’m still here is I really like making videos for my small audience that I am grateful of 😊

I’m never quitting I just love making videos and if any body watches it’s a bonus - I honestly mean this - I’m building a video history too of our life for later - I would never look at other people’s videos in our “ niche” as what’s the point in that ???the zen koan about do not care about the fruits of an action Just do something totally with attachment to outcomes 😅

The type of videos i make take too much time. I have to coke up with upcycle ideas, make them work, film them, edit them, etc... and tike and energy wise, i cant seem to make a video a month let alone a video a week. I feel like i have learned alot but just enough to feel extreme frustration of working 5 years, never making a dime or reaching 1,000p subscribers. At this point i feel like my tombstone will say, "cause of death....she tried to reach 1,000 subscribers!".

So weird. I was just thinking this last night. Just coming onto my first full year and have been monetized for a bit now. With full time job and family and kids this is getting tough to keep up to. Especially when you have so little coming back for your efforts.
