I like that this interview highlighted helping people, doing what you enjoy in an easy way and not concerned about being/going viral. The community is so important. Thanks TM for all the great advice. I started uploading mainly shorts consistently for the last 2 years, I became monetized 4 months ago at 47K subs and the growth has been EXPONENTIAL since. As long as you choose a Niche that you’ll do even if you’re not getting paid for, it’ll never feel like a chore. Good luck to ALL!! It’s definitely possible..

Loved this interview! He’s a great teacher and speaker. His message of time freedom and investing breaks it down for the beginner and advanced investor.
Loved the insight on exit strategy. I think about that for content creation but also as an owner of multiple brick and mortar businesses. I have found RUclips helpful for helping clients find me at these locations and it has been an invaluable marketing angle to help my businesses grow.
He's right! I've been listening to Think Media for three years and getting things ready for a solid entrance. Love the enthusiasm of the guest today. Good stuff. I like Dion. I’m still a bit baffled by when people say they make so much money off YT. He said $60k after 15k subscribers. I’m at 98k subs with only $400 income per month. I’d love to know what I’m doing wrong. Am I an anomaly not making any money? Thx.

It's years that I'm thinking and planning to start a channel about communication and languages on RUclips. Last year I started a Football podcast with a famous Italian journalist where we discuss Italian football in English, but a year in we have 47 subscribers! Besides the episodes, we haven't done any shorts, etc. So it hasn't really been encouraging, but I really want to start my channel on communication.
Am I too late? Or Is it still possible to make it on RUclips?

7:27 I totally agree. I have made friends by commenting on other people’s channels. I joined some podcast guest groups on FB and have found guest for my channel and I have also been a guest on other people’s channel.

I really do love this channel. I have learned so much but haven't had a chance to really implement it into my own channel. I've been watching ThinkMedia for quite awhile now. I bought your book....accidentally bought it twice lol. I still pick it up and skim through it a little bit. I also recently bought 10x is Easier than 2x. Great title! I thank you guys for all of the things you're doing for the RUclips community. I'm trying to do something similar under a different channel. I just need to niche down a little more. What you guys do is so broad that a small creator such as myself can only hope to get that big some day! Life and working 7 days a week with two different jobs makes it hard to just make videos and release quality content.
Maybe you could try and get some skils that allow you to apply for a position that can work as a substitute for the two jobs that take a lot of your time.
I think time is definitely needed in order to create good videos without burning out.
And so in my humble opinion the first step could be to create more free time for yourself by changing jobs or, if possible - moving back in worh your parents so that you only rely on one job of the two and have more time and ressources to finally start your RUclips-Journey.
I myself am in the same situation- I work 20h a week while living with my parents in my late 20’s.
I am able to save more, have more time for personal development so that I can move out and build a foundation for myself.
This unique situation allows me to also gain skills through online-courses that will hopefully land me a higher-paying job and better career options soon. ❤️❤️

@@fsmithh Oh trust me. I've been looking for a job that would make as much as my two jobs combined. It's not easy where I'm at now. Unfortunately moving in with the parents is a negative. I own my house and won't go backwards here and there's 10 people in my mom's house so yeahhhhh lol. I just have to make more time is all :). I definitely appreciate the advice!

I always like to hear other investors investments. For instance I invest long term into domain names and the goal is to buy the websites and then build the business and then sell it (possibly) as for right now it's great bit I'd definitely want to get into physical real estate in the future.

Why would you leave a successful RUclips channel? I mean if you have a successful channel or business then you should be generating income. You could sell that channel to another person or entity, which has been done before. Maker Studios is one company that sold it's talent and channels for a substantial sum. So in reality many start companies to hopefully get snapped up by larger companies, but you need to begin your channel with the strategy you may want to sell in the future. So if the channel is about you then that could be slightly difficult. So plan ahead if you are looking for some sort of exit strategy!

I had success from RUclips here recently I got the channel monetized had a video hit 126,000 views in longform but my channel has gone down a little bit view wise back to normal you could say but I think the only reason I did ok on RUclips is I found a niche That I could do and just did it

I think that channels about personal growth don't need to plan an exit. They could just upload a couple of videos a year. I mean....i know how exhausting it is to upload content on a regular basis, but if you already have a channel full of valuable video content that's a real state by itself. It will be there in the internet creating revenues forever and ever. And I guess Dion will never stop caring about finances. He could stop spending a lot of time in creating content but not growing and learning about finances for himself. So I think it us understandable for us viewers, if someone stops ulpoading so much content. But....I think creating a few videos a year, sharing new knowledge you acquire just living your life, wouldn't hurt you all.....succesfull video content creators.

I try to make the thumbnail look interesting.
I reply back to as many comments as I can.
I watch content like this to educate myself more.
I pray and ask God to lead the way for me.
