One of the best go to wr ever. How many times Did they call his number to run a crossing route in the middle when they needed a first down badly. Great hands without glue. He took some nasty hits being the go to wide receiver in a lot of cases. Smartest thing that he ever did was retire when he did. I hope he’s had a good life and more is coming

Waddle was the third down go to guy. He would be knocked out cold but you couldn’t get the ball out of his hands. Amazing football player! ❤❤❤❤❤

Tommy is great on the radio. Even though he’s been out of the game for awhile, the game hasn’t passed him up. As a player he wasn’t afraid to go up for the ball and sacrifice his body. A perfect match with Silvy on ESPN.

I remember them giving him smelling salts and he would be back in playing again. He was a savage

My brother and i were at a pre season game in 1989 against the chargers who had acquired mcmahon, we sat at the endzone by the band, and this skinny dude was practicing in the endzone there named waddle. I told my brother this guy isnt going to make this team. Boy was i wrong!.

Some guys only chance in the NFL is being that guy who would take the hits going in the middle of the field. He took a beating. He was great.
