Tom Waddle (The Personification of Toughness) NFL Legends

Tom Waddle had the will of a warrior with great hands and a never quit mentality...I rooted for the Bears as a kid and remember seeing this guy make amazing catch after catch and get punished for it...go to the sideline shake it off and go back out there and play like his life depended on it! as a kid I was inspired by that, not a HOF WR but had a HOF heart and in my book he's a NFL Legend to me

I loved watching Tom Waddle play. Even as a 49ers fan Tom was one if my favorite players. And I will take his word over Stephen A Smith's ANY day. Tom was an professional athlete. Stephen A. is a professional mouth. BIG difference.

Tom Waddle was the very definition of Chicago Bear toughness. I couldn't imagine today's wide receiver taking helmet-to-helmet hits, or taking smelling salts multiple times a game. What a remarkable story.
