I don’t remember this. Why is he sort of accusatory toward Lillimae? What is the significance of him saying Val and Joshue don’t look alike? What is he suggesting?
Jonathan has animosity towards Lillimae for never marrying him and Joshua being "conceived in sin (though I don't think that term was actually use) and for abandoning Joshua (just as Lillimae did to Valene when she was in her teens) in pursuit of her singing career.
@@SweptAway529 Thanks for the clarification. I remember this season but I don’t remember this character visiting at all. I still don’t really understand the comment about Valene and Joshua not looking alike and what he meant by that. It’s confusing.
@@EastSide-qc5oy Agreed 1027 - there might have been a scene that set up his comment - it's been a while since I saw the whole episode. He was a very odd and judgmental character.
@@SweptAway529 Yes I’m sure you’re right, we are seeing these clips out of context and decades after the original broadcast. There was probably background that would explain his statements and behavior. I appreciate your insights, thanks. I still can’t believe sometimes how long ago this was. I was a kid when these aired and friends got me hooked for a few seasons.
@@EastSide-qc5oy Oh I love Knots big time and have watched the entire series at this point. Right now I'm watching Falcon Crest on Freevee streaming, Never thought I'd have the opportunity to watch that again!
He's the kind of "guest" that would never be invited back again - ever.
Damn, Julie Harris was just so good, even in a little scene like this.
So Holy...but I guess he forgot that he wasn't married to Lilimae when Joshua was conceived. They can see everybody else's dirt but their own.
Thanks for the upload !! Travilla..Love Val's dinning room !! Xd
Too bad that KL got so far away from scenes like this in the later years.
Yes, it got too plot centric instead of character drama. These early years they adored character.
Jontthan is Vals birth father
Jeremiah is Val's birth father - Jonathan (in this scene) is Joshua's birth father.
Who is he? Church ladies old man?
Well isn't that special? ;)

I thought this was Joshua's dad?
It is - but he isn't Valene's dad.
where is the episode where Karen finds abby and gary in bed together.
